I loved the intro about not caring what you believe in, what clothes you wear, or who you sleep with. The world is messed up enough. Let's just all be nice to folks at the table, have fun, and play the dang game.
Thanks for this. Transitioning from more lite YZE systems like MYZ and Alien, I found the additional crunch a bit full-on for me as a GM with ADHD/used to more rules-lite stuff. Watching again today whilst I prep!
Great combat system… thanks for the overview. Any advice to help people not forget the parry and dodge modifiers vs slash and stab attacks? That’s a problem I usually run into.
One time I had a note cared with the parry info on it. I can't find it now, but I laminated a quick reference sheet - one for me and one for the table. It had slow & fast actions, parry chart, and something else on it.
I'm surprised they don't add an agility modifier to initiative. Obviously it'd have to be a high to low initiative order Is it because it would make agility too useful/powerful?
3:09 LGM thinks it never happens anywhere since it doesnt happen near him. One thing I hate is people that dont understand the world and people in it are ALL different, and there is no one way for all other than death comes to all of us. I dislike most games that arent Basic DND as being bloated messes, but still cant wait for Survival stuff in this game. 🙂 We dont all like the same things, but I hope I like that when it comes since it has been called revolutionary. 😉

Print a cheat sheet for combat, there are couple of good ones around. Then place it near combat area, or between every pair of players.

$20 for the cards is a lot. I used index cards and scribbled on them. Super cheap.
