I started doing my nails during the plague, learned from watching you and a couple of korean nail channels and now I do my own extensions and nail art all the time. I prefer gels and poly gels because they're easier to work with and don't put me on a time limit like acrylic; and they don't smell as bad either lol.
I would love a video or a series of videos talking about all the gel products, from gel polish to fiber gel, ruber vs gel bases, all that! I would love to learn more about them. Thanks for the upload!
I started doing my own nails with gel and extensions about 6 months ago and was quite frustrated for some time because everything would lift, no matter how good my nail prep was. I have very thin, flexible and peeling nails. Always had problems with them not really growing long and always breaking so I wanted to do extensions. I looked into different products and found that rubber base would be better for my nails since it's a flexible base. Now I don't do extensions anymore but use rubber base to grow my natural nails and they've already grown so long! Learning about different products is very important.
Actually I wish any nail salon I stepped in asked me what my options were. I came here because I want to start doing my own!! Thank you so much. This is so informational ❤
This topic could not be more relevant today. A recent visit to a "top nail salon," a birthday treat from a well-intentioned friend, left my nails in such an awful state-weak, peeling, cracking, and even separating at the sidewalls! It was a stark reminder of why I took up doing my nails at home. The damage from that one visit was unprecedented and utterly frustrating. Ididn't even know it was possible one could cause so much harm with a single visit. I have to do something today to prevent further deterioration. I had hoped to sculpt them out using hard gel, but the current state of my nails poses a challenge for fitting the forms. :( I'll just start prepping them now and revisit the videos you have made regarding nail biters, as the damage bears an awful resemblance, even though I have never bitten my nails. Thank you Anastasia. I'm so grateful for the advice I have found on your channel over the years. It which has played a major role in my nail journey. Here's to hoping for the best! 🤞🙏
I'm so glad I came across this video as it covers everything and is up to date. I recently completed cosmetology school and we didn't have a proper nails teacher so I'm just been looking online.
Oh my goodness you riddling it all off was totally on point that was perfect cuz yeah you do look at it like you don't know what the heck to choose anymore😊
Really good, informative video. I have a question, with your client, you suggested short acrylic/ polygel if they are allergic, why was those the best solutions? is it because of her cuticles?
Hi Anastasia, thank you for the recommendations! Just wondering, do you think the BTArtbox nails are safe to use? Some people say it has bad ingredients?
Is there another video for acrylics, dipping powder, etc.? I’ve never seen any of these in my nail salon. They probably do it but I need a basic video lol
I use nail builder with full tip. Is there a better way to have them adhere that does not take 2 hrs from beginning to end? If the nail builder is hood what is the best brand? Thanks in advance! 🎉
Anastasia could you please do a video of the nail extension that had the glitter underneath ?...I tried that on myself and it turned into a nightmare lol...thank you for sharing xo 💜💅💜
Oh lord! You scared me with that preview of you with short hair. LOL So glad it was just a wig. But you did shorten your hair. Your hair has always been beautiful! I hope you keep it long. I only do my own nails and I prefer builder gel. I tried to get the hang of acrylic for many years and never could. It would always lift after a week or so. I have not had that problem with builder and poly gel. It stays put, seemingly, forever! I think the gel products have more flexibility than acrylic when the nails get wet, dry, wet, dry, expand, shrink. I only do fill-ins now, no need to redo the whole nail. Nail life is so much better. 😀
I cannot use dual forms. Ive tried so many times and they always look awful and break. I struggle with soft gel tips as the sizes are off because i have long but wide nail beds. I tend to stick to polygel overlay nowadays. Love acrylics but the monomer smell triggers my migraines. But i keep getting the urge to start doing acrylics again 😂

That's good to know. Do you have to glue the rubber on?

Because these products are a bit "stronger" ad more resistant to nail biting

Excellent, informative, quick and to the point!
Funny thing is that nail salons don't even give you all those options, they just put what they have, period!!!

This was much awaited video. Loved the way you explained everything exactly I has to be.💅🏻🥰❤️

Hi Anastasia 👋 @8:00 is my favorite nail!

Yes, I have something like that in my "nail art ideas" folder, so I'm definitely planning to do it soon 😉
@@Nailcou oooh thank you Anastasia I can't wait to see what you do 💜

I wear full coverage nails and put them on with acrylic not glue. I overlay with acrylic for more strength then use my gel polush
My nails peel - Extensions or press-on, even gel polish, my nails peel down to painful SOFT. Is the application faulty?

Thank you ! 💕
BRAVO! BRAVO! 💞
It would be great to add the names in words on the video. (And slow the speed of video to hear everything) Thx for all the info.

Great video ❤

I still find all of this confusing. Overwhelming if you will.
That's a shame, I thought she really nailed it 🤭

Of all of that list do you believe You missed sculptured nails 😅
Regular / traditional forms = is the same as sculptured nails 😊
3:31 talks about sculpting with acrylic gel and polygel. Shows forms many times. 🤷🏻♀️
