Thank you so much Netti. I had a stroke last year, when I was 39 and fortunately the only thing that was damaged was my memory. No one knows what nostalgia is until a big portion of your child hood memories are handed back to you. especially "Moonstone" of which me and my friends played for weeks over the summer 6 weeks holidays. there's lots of games in that pack but i was just wondering how to put new roms in . the megadrive emulator was easy, just cut/paste the rom in to the rom list but im not sure how to do it on this one with the set up being a bit more technical. Thanks for the memories.
I had a few problems, particularly with drives not showing up in Workbench after doing the partitions but I messed around and got them working somehow! This was an extremely useful video, thank you Netti ! And thank you for the present, you're awesome! :)
I have to thank you so much for this video. Your guide, and supplied support files, was absolutely perfect! Followed along step by step, and no problems what so ever! I would have never figured this out without your guide (simply not enough time in the day to dedicate to it). Many thanks for providing this to the community! Thomas
Thank you for such an amazing starter pack and tutorial! I managed to successfully reproduce what you were doing in Win-UAE in FS-UAE on Ubuntu. Once I overcame some weirdness with the CF card partition table removal using gparted it was smooth sailing. Spent the afternoon reliving the early 90s playing Alien Breed. Only issue I couldn't overcome was that the Amiga will only see my 16GB CF card as 4GB. Thanks again!
Spent a few days trying with different tutorials, no success. Thank you so much for sharing and compiling the files. Although I have Amiga Forever and Workbench this simplified it for an idiot like me. 😊😊😊
Good job and good job well done. Seen 3 other tutorials, that were skipping on some quirks that I had no idea of (as Atari ST user). Now the CF card works like a charm! Time to get rid of AV2VGA and solder a DB9 to VGA adapter for my NEC1870NXp 15kHz monitor!
Just in case someone uses this nowadays, some note on the detection of the cf card. In the WinUAE hard drive config part of this video you can leave it at uaehf, no need to change to IDE. Before launching HDINSTTOOLS, select its icon, right click and choose `Icons` -> `Information` from the menu. Then un-comment the tooltype: `;DEVICE=scsi.device` by removing the ; and replace the value `scsi.device` with `uaehf.device` (no back ticks obviously) Now save and launch the program, now it should detect your cf card. I'd also recommend PFS3 Instead of SFS as a file system.
Hi Netti, great tutorial. Thanks a lot! One Question: How did you create the system.hdf that skips the Installation? Would really like to know how to do that. Thank you so much for an answer!
I basically went through the installation process and saved the progress to the HD file and then copied pasted it to the pack. Really difficult to explain without showing you :-)
Hey Netti, Is there a way to change the icons back to default workbench style? Also, I have deleted the background but whenever I change the pallet and save it, workbench goes back to the default grey on re-boot. If you have any clues that would be really helpful, otherwise no stress ;)
Hmmmm when I get to the part using HDinstall tools my CF card is not showing up, any ideas? I've tried other tutorials and been able to locate my cf card no problem to partition etc but for some reason I cannot see it listed to be able to do anything with it (partition it). Any help and I will be very grateful - Thank you. ****EDIT**** OK the issue was...…….I forgot to run WINUAE as an admin!!!!! So now I can see the flash card! Onward!!!

Great video; thank you! I used the instructions to set up Classic Workbench 3.9. Everything works fine on WinUAE and on the Amiga. The "problem" is that when I install the CF card on the Amiga it shows some "phantom" partitions (DH0:SFS\0 and DH1:SFS\0). Everything works but those 2 partitions are messing with my OCD. Initially I didn't install the patch and thought that might be the problem but, after installing it, everything remains the same. Any idea of what it might be?

Nice guide and easy to follow. I don't know what I did wrong but I get an error "reqtools.library v38 required"?Also when I right click to go to dopus or whd load it gives me a scalos request error " Unable to open your tool 'DirectoyOpus'" The guide was easy to follow and I went back through it twice? Do I need to have an accelerator for my Amiga 1200? Maybe I'm low on memory?Anyone know what I missed?

I followed the guide but it doesnt even detect in my amiga 1200 and doesnt boot to the classic wb. I see you are running on kickstart 3.1 on your amiga. Im running on kickstart 3.0 on mine so would I have to use the kickstart 3.0 rom and the workbench 3.0 adfs instead on winuae while following your guide?
Quick question, does the file system in your tutorial allow for large drive types from say 4gb to 16gb? And also long file names? Hopefully test the card on my amiga tonight. Thanks for all those games too!!! Great video :)
i do everything you say in the video, everything is exactly as shown, except that when i run hdinstall from workbench it says "no device found", any help?
HI Adrian, i think it wont recognise it if the first partition is over 4 gb. but i have never tested a card that size, so i feel this would be trial and error.
When I download your starter pack it saves as a 7z file, not a folder. When I try and point WinUAE to it its not seen in the pop up. Any ideas please? Thanks.
12.34 I don't get that when I load the CF card and the Hard File up along with the work directory. I get my OS partition showing as a disk icon and nothing in it of course. How did you get to that point where the OS partition is populated and looking like a duplicate of the hard file?
Ahh don't worry got it sorted!!! Just need to wait on my accelerator arriving now before I can test on my real Amiga. Thanks very much for all the time it took to do this video!! Looking forward to more videos!
I'm stuck after having partitioned the disk. I did this previously but used PFS3 back then, I wanted to try out this one as your video was so nice :) So. When rebooting with the partitions created (I double checked, every option is as it should be I guess) I get the error "DH0 Program failed (error #80000003). Wait for disk activity to finis. Suspend / Reboot Any idea?
Ahhh... you could have mentioned that SFS is for 020 processors or above :) My Amiga 600 will not be able to use it! I'll keep using pfs3aio like for my other CF cards then I guess.
Thank you so much for this guide! It was the only one that has worked for me. I have spent an entire day trying to get my CF card to work after trying other tutorials. One question: I transferred all my games to my CF and they appeared under GAMES: as Drawers that could be opened and the game could be played. I realized I missed a few on my PC so I added more, now they just transfer as .zip's and I don't know how to turn them into Drawers. All the other games were .zips too. Any ideas?
mydecembermydecember crikey not sure on that one. I would unzip on pc i guess then put in your work folder then once you are in winuae move them to where you want
For some reason that 7:58 mark I cannot do a backstroke? I can do a forward stroke only. Pretty sure my keyboard is setup for UK as standard here.. When I press the \ keyboard in the WinUAE program it does the > or < symbol. I am also not getting the screen at 15:05 I have the new colourful screen but "work" does not appear? That install workbench screen does not show up, how do I make it so?
@@NettiGaming hi netti could I have a request from you could you help me with my cf drive wondered if yiu could remotely put my cf card together on my computer if that's OK I'd really appreciate it
dont worry if your 2nd partition doesn't show up straight away. we are going to install the patch that will fix this later in the video
great video but ,I have no Hard drives showing, at what point do you show the fix please. tx John
I figured it out the SFS\0 was in lower case i.e sfs\0
