I'm willing to bet every penny in my pocket that Dreams IS the most diverse & powerful creative workstation ever to hit consoles. I don't even know of 1 music production kit on PS4, not even something basic as hell like Music 2000; Dreams has something fairly close to a legit DAW! Then you have the 3D modelling, animation and game dev kits all in the same package. And the craziest thing I can't believe is this is for consoles.
As far as console based tools go, I'd think Dreams is by far the most powerful and expansive creative tool that exists. Yeah, sure, on PC, the separate programs that do each of these things are far more powerful, but this is on a console. Seriously, a console FFS! What!? I can not believe they pulled this off, and to hear its dying will be the biggest waste of creative potential on consoles since... Well there IS no precedent lol :*/
as one of the creators of "getting the hell over it", I'm not the dev of "Getting over it" lol. I just wanted to try to recreate the mechanics, and it lead to making a whole game with a fellow dreams creator.
One of those games looked like Marble Ultra Blast. But I'm confused. Why was it cancelled? Because Dreams doesn't exist on PS5? I thought you could play Dreams on PS5. I remember thinking how I wanted to play this Sonic fan game on Dreams for PS4 but then learning it was only on PS5. I've also been interested in getting Dreams and learning to make a game too. Is this something I won't be able to do anymore? O:
You'll still be able to create and play creations in Dreams - but the development of the tools and it's live service support is coming to an end game. Dreams is playable on PS5 through backwards compatibility. It will hold a steady frame rate of 60fps meaning some games created on it will suffer slow down or poor performance on PS4
I have no idea how people can make these things using only a controller, the controls are awful and the motion sensor gives me an headache on PS5. If it had a mouse and keyboard support it'd be so much better.

Spherical is my favorite of this top 10. Even if unfinished, it feels so awesome to play and the atmosphere is second to none
