The rise of Covid19 inevitably means that the Avatar project will be on hold until it’s safe to fill a concert hall full of people. They announced the 2 new songs too early but the delays caused by the technological difficulties encountered were totally beyond their control. Some people on this thread need to calm down...the new music will come when it comes and I strongly suspect they’re doing a whole album. I expect it will be excellent (they won’t release it otherwise as they care too much about their legacy) and I promise you it will be the biggest album of the year.

Exactly, I been waiting since 1983 for a whole new Complete ABBA album which would have come along with songs like The Day Before You Came and also Under Attack which would have other Songs on the album with Just like that and I'am the City in which I found on ABBA Greatest Hits album I bought from a Record shop in the mid 1990's in which ABBA was working on in the Recording Studio during 1982 before ABBA decided too take a Break just before Christmas 1982. This is just Heaven. A whole new album with new songs.
According to a news article on the Web, I think the new ABBA Songs will be out on the second half of 2019 around September or October time, I think the guys are working on a new ABBA studio album as we speak. Looking forward to hearing the new songs.

Today, (Saturday 6th April), Bjorn has given a big Interview to Dan Wootton of 'The Sun' - the UK's most read News Paper. In it he seems to confirm that ABBA are recording an entire New Album - not just a few New Songs. We will see what we - eventually - get from ABBA, later in 2019, or early 2020...
On Tuesday, a Friend of ABBA's, revealed that he's heard, some of the New ABBA Songs. He is a Swedish TV Host, called Mark Levengood. (He is also a Journalist and Writer). He revealed it all, in a Tuesday 14th April, Interview, with the Swedish Newspaper, 'Aftonbladet'. You can tell, that there are more than 3 New Songs, by how he describes them. He said; "The new Abba songs are fantastic" . He added: "They are fantastic, so much. I can say without saying too much," and he revealed that he heard: "three of the new Abba songs". So, Mark, has heard, 3 of the New ABBA Songs. That means that there are more than 3. Maybe as many as 5 - or even enough, for a New ABBA Album. I would love it if they'd release the 6 1982 tracks on a new album with 3 or 4 other non album tracks of previous years as well as the 1978 album that never was. Benny and Bjorn have to be so perfect or stingy with their songs in order for them to be released not realizing that those songs are for the fans and we don't care if there's some kind of detail or whatever reason that keeps them from releasing the songs, we will love and cherish those songs. They have at least 3 albums worth of unreleased gems many of which have only been heard on ABBA's undeleted medley and most of them are incomplete. Some of which are their best songs.

On Wednesday 18th September 2019, Bjorn was Interviewed on the UK's ITV News Program. He was asked if ABBA had been into the Stdio 'recently'. He admitted that they had. He said that the other 3 Members of ABBA have told him not to say too much. However, he said that ABBA going into the Studio is a 'Work in progress'.When he says that ABBA have 'recently' been in the Studio, he does not mean the 2 New Songs they recored in June 2017. That was over 2 Years ago. He means that ABBA have been recording in the Studio in the past few Weeks or Months. He said that we will have to wait until 2020 for the New Songs. I think that we are to get at least 3 to 5 New Songs. Maybe even a New Album....

One of the guitarists who played with ABBA all those years ago gave an interview very recently. He briefly mentioned the new music and twice used the word 'album'. I think our wishes may have been granted. And it's coming very soon too. It's rumoured the new songs and avatars may be launched at the end of next week, September 2. The project and possibly the album is called 'ABBA Voyage'.

The truly good News, is that there are now, (allegedly), 5 New ABBA Songs - not 2. The really bad News, is that we, (allegedly), now have to wait, until 2021, to hear any of them. A UK DJ & Journalist,, called Geoff Lloyd, was told this by Bjorn, in a Zoom Interview on Saturday 19th July. Bjorn never gave any Month, in 2021, for the release of the New Songs. So, it could be anytime, from January to December. ABBA Recorded the 1st two New Songs, in June 2017. By June 2021, they will be 4 Years Old! Therefore, They are already 'Old Songs', as far as ABBA are concerned. But, their Fans have not heard any of them - so far. Simon Fuller is truly to be thanked for persuading ABBA to reform and record new material for the Abbatar project and now there's the possibility that an entire full album is on its way! I can now die happy my dream has finally come true! I just hope they have really taken their time with these new songs, that they're well written and sophisticated and none end up sounding like 'You Owe Me One'.

ABBA Intermezzo, (ABBA Fan Site), has now asked ABBA's Friend & Spokes Person, Gorel Hanser, when can we expect the New Songs to be released. Gorel says that they will 'Eventually' be released in 2020. She also said that The ABBAtars Tour is 'Probably' going to start in 2021. Gorel emphasised that none of this has been 'confirmed'. So, it looks like we certainly will not hear the New Songs in 2019...
ABBA hope to release at least one New Song by November. However, 'hope' means that it is not certain. It may come out before November. Or later than November. We will have to see. the Global Media have - at this time - lost interest in it, as it is over a Year since ABBA announced that they'd recorded 2 New Songs and over 2 Years since they actually recorded them. They have Zero intentions of ever performing on Stage again. Bjorn says that they feel that even 1 ABBA Concert - 1 Night! - would take too much energy. They are 100% not going to do it. Fans will either have to go to see The ABBAtars, or an ABBA Tribute Group. At least with The ABBAtars, you will hear the 'Real' ABBA's singing, coming out of their mouths...

Mark - I'm Disabled & often ill. I've waited since December 1982 for ABBA to record again. They did the 2 New Songs, in June 2017, but all the 'Delays' make me think that I will not get to hear them. None of us live forever...That also includes the 4 Members of ABBA, of course...
I wouldnt go as far as that. Ive been an ABBA fan for 40 years and when I heard they were recording again I was in tears. Dont forget that they are much older now and it must all be a bit surreal after all these years. Its not like they need the money so I believe they are back as a tribute to the fans. It takes time to produce such great songs and perhaps they are really trying to make sure they get it right and not embarrass themselves to the new generation. Simon Fuller is truly to be thanked for persuading ABBA to reform and record new material for the Abbatar project and now there's the possibility that an entire full album is on its way! I can now die happy my dream has finally come true! I just hope they have really taken their time with these new songs, that they're well written and sophisticated and none end up sounding like 'You Owe Me One'.
I must agree on the wish for no "You Owe Me One"s! But "Just Like That" wasn't good enough, really? But considering I thought they'd NEVER regroup, it's a dream come true!

For various reasons, The New ABBA Songs are now 'delayed' - yet again! - until some time in 2021. There are now at least 5 New ABBA Songs. By June 2021 the initial first 2 New Songs will be 4 Years Old! ABBA Recorded them in June 2017 and told 'The World' about them in April 2018...
We could really use those songs at this point. Consider it. It's been a long time.

It would great if it was documented. There really isn't anything out there of the group working in the studio warts and all; or is there? Some might think it boring but it's where the magic happens.
There is a charming Q & A session from a fan weekend with Gorel Hanser, ABBA's long-time representative and Mia Segolsson, who I think works for Universal Music Sweden. So sad. Where is ABBA
ABBA Intermezzo, (ABBA Fan Site), has now asked ABBA's Friend & Spokes Person, Gorel Hanser, when can we expect the New Songs to be released. Gorel says that they will 'Eventually' be released in 2020. She also said that The ABBAtars Tour is 'Probably' going to start in 2021. Gorel emphasised that none of this has been 'confirmed'. So, it looks like we certainly will not hear the New Songs in 2019...
I was anccious for december 2018, now I ll have to wait another 7 months oh my god............... Well they will certainly not let us down

ABBA hope to release at least one New Song by November. However, 'hope' means that it is not certain. It may come out before November. Or later than November. We will have to see. the Global Media have - at this time - lost interest in it, as it is over a Year since ABBA announced that they'd recorded 2 New Songs and over 2 Years since they actually recorded them. Even a lot of Fans have grown tired of waiting. Some even say that the New Songs will never be released...I think that they are wrong, but it is all dragging on for such a long time...

O repórter falou a essa apresentadora que falou com o Björn Ulvaeus, a conversa foi demorada, e que ao invés do ABBA se reunir para gravar duas canções, estão gravando um álbum completo. Pelo que entendi as duas músicas já gravadas saem no outono europeu com o vídeo dos avatares do ABBA, e provavelmente o CD do álbum no final do ano. Aguardemos!

In early April, Bjorn said that we will get at least 1 of the New ABBA Songs in September or October. They are going to make Videos for the New Songs - using CGI. The 1st Video, (for 'I Still Have Faith In You'), is currently being created...

You know, since you've announced you're new new songs, ELO has come out with 2 new albums! I'm a big ABBA fan and getting tired of waiting and I'm sure a lot of other people are too. You can still work on new songs but at least release the 2 new ones you came up with and recorded.
ABBA say that we cannot have the New Songs until 2020.Which is any time from January to December. A few Weeks ago Bjorn told UK TV News that ABBA have 'Recently' been Recording in the Studio. He meant in the past few Weeks or Months. He called the Recordings 'A Work In Progress'. We are definitely getting more than 2 New Songs. Maybe as many as 5. It may be too much to wish for an entire New ABBA Album...

They have Zero intentions of ever performing on Stage again. Bjorn says that they feel that even 1 ABBA Concert - 1 Night! - would take too much energy. They are 100% not going to do it. Fans will either have to go to see The ABBAtars, or an ABBA Tribute Group. At least with The ABBAtars, you will hear the 'Real' ABBA's singing, coming out of their mouths...

According to the Daily Express online, 5 new ABBA songs have already been written and recorded and 3 more on the way according to Benny and Bjorn, By the sound of it going to sound Fantastic as music today is recorded in digital.
Scott - Benny has denied this. He says that 'The Express' Story is not true. We are NOT getting a New ABBA Album. On top of this, Bjorn now says, (13th June), that we are not getting any New ABBA Songs until November!

Late 2018, then April 2019, then September-October 2019, now sometime 2020 ... the most pathetic comeback imaginable. The contempt that the ABBA guys ( as it's them -- particularly Bjorn -- that manage the ABBA business juggernaut) have for their fans is astounding.
Mark - I'm Disabled & often ill. I've waited since December 1982 for ABBA to record again. They did the 2 New Songs, in June 2017, but all the 'Delays' make me think that I will not get to hear them. None of us live forever...That also includes the 4 Members of ABBA, of course...
I wouldnt go as far as that. Ive been an ABBA fan for 40 years and when I heard they were recording again I was in tears. Dont forget that they are much older now and it must all be a bit surreal after all these years. Its not like they need the money so I believe they are back as a tribute to the fans. It takes time to produce such great songs and perhaps they are really trying to make sure they get it right and not embarrass themselves to the new generation. I will always remember them for who they was regardless of what they release now. I am excited though I wont lie. ❤ABBA❤

ABBA recorded the 2 New Songs in June 2017, so they are already over 2 Years old. ABBA could have recorded 2 New Albums, in the time since then. However, we are not getting even 1 New Album - just 2, (maybe 3), New Songs...
