  • Follow along as Pastor Steven Vaggalis explains the covenant of the heart we have with God shown through the outward expression of circumcision and explains the importance of this sign. “‘Then I will make my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers.’ Abram fell facedown, and God said to him, ‘As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you.’” Genesis 17:2-6

In which translation of the the Bible does God say "yes" to Abraham, when he asks him to bless Ishmael? (Gen 17:19) That's a major misread/slip-up there, pastor! Not only do you read it this way, but whoever did the written citations which show up on screen, also didn't bother to read the actual Scripture text, and just typed along whatever you blurred out. The slip up is huge, because if God had actually said "yes" to Abraham on His blessing to Ishmael, it could be used as a justification of the origin of Islam.
