Arena has gotten tougher, I'm glad you upload this videos even if the results were poor, gives me hope knowing that it isnt just me sucking at arena so bad lol.
Guillermo Garcia Piza Totally agree with you. I used to at the very least manage 3 or 4 wins but even that is tough now. Best recently was 6 :(
Guillermo Garcia Piza Guys just need to draft with some tempo now. Value trades and auto picking removal isnt doing it anymore. The 2-5 curve is basically your win turns. Except when rng skill hits you. Tough to play around three flame strikes like poor trump here.
Value trading and board control usually wins games. Just mind how many minions you have on the board; don't over-do it, incase you get AoE'd. It's how I won 8 with Paladin
Guillermo Garcia Piza Variance increased. Its harder to draft amazing decks, but if lucky you can draft stronger decks than before gvg and blackrock.
once people stopped getting 4 fireballs and 2 flamestrikes in every mage deck it leveled the playing field.

I'm happy to see that even the best players can have bad arena runs. Trump's draft choices were so bad here, but the same thing happened to me (I had a druid run where 17 of the 30 choices didn't have a drop bigger than 3, and the worst part was I took a decent early curve from my initial picks to get bombarded with all those bad choices at the end). After that shitty run I managed to draft a 9 win Mage (no fireballs or flamestrikes, but 2 blizzards). I'm just glad to see it's not that I suck, rng can really impact arenas.
I might still suck though.

I got 7 wins with 2 blizzards too
I drafted 3 skills commands and a handful of unleashes and Savannahs once , on that run my only late gane was Savannah Highmane.
It was my first 12 win arena run.
Trump is worse than me at arena now! I have something to brag about now guys!

I usually go about 5-3 in arena, which is pretty bad. But I've all ways been able to tell myself, "Some day you could be as good as Trump." This losing streak of his is really shaking my faith to the core, and I hope it doesn't snap.

kerafill1116 Card advantage is a huge factor in arena. Giving him a card by killing thalnos might not be the best play.
kerafill1116 It's a lot more likely that thing they need to clear you board is in their deck.
And you wouldn't want them to draw into it.

And he lose a Card "Thanos", these cards help you cycle, not give you card advantage.
He actually gave the opponent a card advantage to him by leaving Thanos up so it can kill his 2/1.
***** He would much rather let his opponent have a 1/1 give +1 spell damage than pretty much any other card.
I feel like he is trolling us now. Trump, as a person who deeply care about your well being, you need to clean those glasses. Can't make those value plays otherwise.

I don't think I have ever seen you draft arcane explosion. That card saved me so many times.
It's always so sad for me when i see a trump arena run with no part 2/3, cause i know how it ends

Whoa, I didn't stop to think that swapping a minion's health and attack with a Stormwind Champion on the board permanently gave it a +1/+1 as a side effect. Science!
That whoops at 35:12 meant very clearly: I have flamestrike. Btw thats why you never silence anyone they give info about their cards
The next expansion if/when it ever comes out needs to do one of a few things to refresh the meta. A new mechanic all around, or a way to counter some of the stronger things. Imagine if some cards were immune to active battlecry abilities (what if War Golem could not just be BGH'd).
I can really see two future adventures being Ulduar or Icecrown Citadel, maybe Siege of Orgrimmar. All three have the boss numbers that could justify wings in an adventure.
DE DragonPaladin Siege of Orgrimmar probably not because we have 2 bosses in game alredy, Iron Juggernaut and Garrosh Hellscream, but the other ones are very likely to happen.

Eyal Wodner There is software for that. Try googling "hearthstone deck mods", I think.
Eyal Wodner While in this video it was just edited in afterwards, there is a program called Hearthstone Deck Tracker. It's free to use, easy to set up, and it's amazing. You can have unlimited decks in this program, and it can quickly put them in the game for you, which gets around the 9-deck slot requirement. If you're new, you probably don't care about that, but what is helpful is it keeps track of what cards your opponent has played as well as what cards you've drawn, which will help you develop an important skill in the game: getting used to what cards people usually play, and learning to play around them.

I find that I have better luck on constructed earlier in the day, and vice versa with Arena. I know this is completely random but player trends may have something to do with it. Last night I crafted a beastly mage deck and promptly went 0-3. This morning I made a mediocre druid deck and I'm currently 5-1

Two weeks ago Trump said he underrated Stormwind Champion in arena, now the card is not so good apparently... I do wish he would decide. It's a fine late game card IMO, in the absence of any big hitters.

Sorry to ask this, but I'm a new player. What do people mean by 'Dennis Missiles'?
Ultrafireknight Sounds like a turn 1 arcane missiles to do 3 damage to the opponent, simply because the option exists to play the 1-mana card. "Dennis" is a general term that can describe any bad move at all, but most often it refers to directly exchanging a card for life, at a time where the opponent still has plenty of life remaining. An opening move of this sort instantly reveals the nature of your opponent, because of a certain trait that's common in new card game players. That being the idea that life points are important, when in actuality, there's an extent to which life is not important. (Since you say you're new yourself, I'm not sure if "life doesn't matter" is a concept that needs to be explained)
It's a very old Hearthstone joke that was born back in the days when some streamer(forgot which one) played against guy named Denis who played Priest and used his Holy Smite at enemy hero turn one. That game became kinda legendary and now every time people see newbies plays like this(arcane missiles, fireball to the face at turn four and such) they call it Denis plays to pay respect to this legend

The trick to arena is pick mage and draft as many flamestikes as you see.

Yamada AutoClub Have you been playing arena lately? It's been getting really hard to do well. People know what they're doing. It's rare to play against someone who will dennis the missiles or draft shieldbearer now.
stev019 True. I think the larger card pool has something to do with it. Harder to draft consistent decks.
stev019 You might not believe this, but I just finished a 10-3 run when a hour ago. I play Europe though. But his decks were pretty bad, it's not the opponents I think.
Blue .Barrymore Well my average dropped from ~7 to 5.9 in the past 6 months according to my tracker. It's not likely that I'm getting worse with how much I play.
You draft a good deck or you lose now. Everyone is on your level. Outplaying someone in minion combat is unlikely to work out to a win by itself if the other person has a better draft and a better draw.
stev019 Actually, the reason it has become harder is because of all the fucking aggression. The decks that prevail are the ones that are fast and aggressive. I guess it's to please the huntards since thinking is rarely needed nowadays in arena.
