Power Girl is Kara Zor-L/ Supergirl is Kara Zor-EL. Power Girl is originally from Earth 2. She was left in the care of Superman of Earth 1 which is the main Supes. So Power Girl on Earth 1 goes by Karen Starr instead of Kara, because they can’t share the same name even though they’re the same but different people.
Power Girl is Kara but from another universe she gets stuck in the main universe normally depending on the version. And Granny is a woman. And also this and the last movie are more direct adaptions of comic book arcs while the other ones meant to be shared universe with other movies tend to change a bit more stuff to fit the shared universe that's why they as you say start over because these weren't meant for some big shared thing
Yo that final fight was God Tier! Probably the best in any DC movie I've seen. They were honestly moving like a DragonBall fight, scrapping like Goku and Cell. My favorite DC film by far.
I owned the DVD , I can't find it anymore, but god, did I love watching this as a kid. I was like 7 or 8. This and Under the Red Hood are what defined Batman and DC as a whole to me.
On Krypton they don't speak English, rather the idea is that they're speech is being translated for us. In stories where people time-travel to Krypton they often need to learn the language or pack a universal translator beforehand. 12:32 That fit is a suit worn by her husband, Mister Miracle (One of the most underrated superheroes, might I add).
There are more DC animated films to react to. You should do Justice League Crisis on Two Earths and Batman Under The Red Hood. Those films are insane. Great video by the way loving the content 😁
I agree with you on the story and the pacing on this one. It was just one set piece to the next and the dialogue was awkward at times. Was it well written? No. Was it entertaining? Hell yes it was. The animation was beautiful and the choreography is some of DC's best in their animated movies. It's worth watching for that alone.
Dude keep in mind most of Batman's vehicles are built for both durability and high speed pursuit which means they are packing jet fuel for their boosters.
Wonder Woman attacking Kara in that manner was actually very intelligent. Imagine someone else would have attacked Kara and she accidentally lasered through a crowd of people? If she can’t control her powers in a panic, then she needs to be trained, it’s really not rocket science 😂😂

Well the final fight shows why we didn’t jump Darkseid on Apokaylps because when Sups is our strongest combatant and Darkseid beat him that hard on Sup’s home turf, we don’t stand a chance in Darkseid’s home
Also in the DC animated universe Power Girl is actually a clone of Supergirl much in the way Superboy in Young Justice is a clone of Superman. She was created to replace Supergirl as a Kryptonian under government control. I believe this movie just happens to take place before Batman Superman Public Enemy.
Superman can only ever beat the weakest avatars of Darkseid. Get an avatar closer to his actual strength and it takes the whole league just to push him back to Apokolips temporarily and there will be casualties. I would say this a weaker avatar but certainly not the weakest seen.
That avatar was a concept recently added in this last decade....He wasn't originally like that. Superman can always sundip to amp his power to potentially infinite levels with the sun ...he KO'D World forger whos far above Darkseid avatar or not
