you should upgrade those CPU's they are very inexpensive such as xeon x56xx series make sure you update bios to version 3.61 it is still available on hp website under windows 7 64 bit, I am using an AMD fire pro w7100 8g graphics card on my z600 and it performs very well. also for storage you can use modern nvme storage using a pcie card you just have to boot your os using a sata ssd

The GTX 1080Ti does that, while the GTX 1080 still allows you to have two x5675 processors and two mechanical hard drives without trouble anf I found I can have two x5675, 48GB RAM and 5 x 8tb WD purple mechanical hard drives with a GTX 1050 Ti and have it working night and day without any hassle.
Great video, very informative. I have this same Z600 and I was wondering if by chance you would know if an XFX R9 380 4gb would be compatible with the workstation. I am hesitant to pull the trigger because I am a noob with this. Thank you.
This is a HP Z620, it is not a HP Z600.... Anyway, these HP Z620 systems are still going strong, FPS wasn't great in Cities: Skylines though...... That is a bit concerning..... I assume it is a CPU bottleneck.....

1060 is about the max for the power supply. I have a z600 with same dual CPU and 48gb. Using a 2060 would cause it to shut down. If you're after a gaming build, then I would recommend losing one of the processors and you should be able to run fine with the you of your choice.

Mines doing that . Found any way to stop it? A new power supply seems to be pricey.
