You are as cute as a button . Loved the story and you have helped many people appreciate all the love . care and money that goes into getting all those wonderful plants to the garden. Keep up the great shows, Thank you.
Good video. FYI to everyone who does home gardening, you CANNOT BUY GMO seeds. When you see seed packets saying non GMO, it is just a marketing tactic. All seeds sold to the general public are non GMO. And only some farmers are able to buy GMO seeds if they wish.
I can’t wait to come to the plant sale! I started all of my own plants for the first time this year, and then got very sick with my pregnancy they all died from neglect. I was very sad at first but not all is lost for this gardening season, thank goodness for the gardeners like you. 💜
I stop by often to learn about your growing methods and always leave having learnt something about living a more fulfilling life. It's like you're growing me. Thank you!!!
Jill, I just potted up my Dollar Tree stacker and wanted to make sure you knew that the little “trays” on the bottom of the three pots can be popped off to reveal predrilled drain holes. This will help tremendously when you water and the plants will not drown! I love it! it is stacked 9 high and I have strawberries planted in it. Thanks for all the great info and inspiration! Have a great day!
I thought I was buying a full size stacker planter on Amazon and when it arrived I thought wow I didn’t realize how small those vertical planters are. They look so much bigger online. Fast forward a month and I see the same exact stacker at the dollar store. I paid A LOT more than $1.00 per stacker. Lesson learned to always check the measurements of the items on Amazon and to shop the dollar store for planting items.😅
Thank you so much for putting all this info together for us, Jill!! 💚 What a gift! I'm hoping to sell some of my tomato and pepper starts for the first time this season, so I'd been really hoping you would make a video like this! So very, very thankful for all your shared wisdom and encouragement!!
This is my second year selling plant starts on Facebook market. Last year I was so nervous. This year I think I'm making more mistakes than last year! But when I do end up with a healthy, unique plant that took up way more time and $ than necessary. It's still rewarding to sell it for any amount and have a happy customer! I would love it our area had a plant sale. I would start one, except were moving soon.(video ends with an add for Bonnie plant starts 😅)
This was super helpful! I live in SE OK just over into 7b so I am the same zone and similar cost of living etc. as you and plan on starting my market garden set up this year to start selling next year! ❤
Thank you 😊 I don’t sell plants, but am growing to give away to friends/family. Your size for sale let’s me know what size to give rather than too small.
thank you so much for this video it was soooooo helpful. see you at the plant sale in a couple of weeks i am driving up from south Dal las to get some startes from you to support you and get that squash and jess for her book sighning so excited
Thank you great video Im in Cincinnati area been gardening for most of life I think this year Im just gonna sit some suff out for free and see how it goes then next year try to sell. Love you and Jess keep up good work
I’ve been wondering about this!! Thank you for answering the questions (also about was miss spelled in the title) idk if you noticed but just wanted to let you know
I hope you respond. I was hoping you could tell me where you got this style of green house. I really need a seed starting place that isn’t super expensive.
Packed full of useful information and sound advice. I hope the plant sale is successful and fun reconnecting with your loyal community buyers. Do you pop a little stick support for your larger Tomato sale starts?
I love how you are helping your community. Question do you know in all states are there agriculture licences needed to sell basic organic starts, not certified but organic? I have hundreds started but don't want to cause a fuss if some sorta of license is required. Bonus like you I am donating my starts to family, friends and community gardens but maybe next year will opt for selling. Thanks in advance for the advice! PS I was like you today...smelling my basil and was 🥰
I have been dying to sell plant starts and am determined to do it this year. Question though, I have no greenhouse and can't afford one yet and absolutely no room in my house. Any suggestions on a way I can make this happen?
I set up some regular lamps with grow light or LED bulbs in 2 areas of my house near windows. It has worked well. But yes, you will have to have at least some small space
How fast do y’all normally sell out? We are driving from Hot Springs & I’m wondering if we should get there at 10:00. I’ve started most of my seeds. Had over 50 tomato starts then it froze a few days last week & I lost about half of them. So now I need to buy some.
I love your channel and I am not being negative but GMO seeds are not avaliable to home gardners. GMO seeds are only available now for agricultural crop seeds. These would include corn and soybeans, canola and sugar beets. Everyone educate yourselves.
There's been many a lawsuit that have put good farmers out of buisness because the big farm seeds blow into small farms fields. It IS possible to have GMO seeds mixed in sadly.
I threw some basil in my lemonade on whim last year, and oh my! I’m hooked!
That sounds delicious! Do you have a favorite variety of basil for your lemonade?
You realize I just watched this whole video and I have no plans at all on selling plants starts?

Excited for the plant sale. Your enthusiasm has me excited!
Aww that’s awesome. Me too!
Thank you so much for bringing up location. As a Californian the thought of selling a 6-pack of heirloom anything for $5 made me want to cry. 👀

I will be at the plant sale! Totally want to try the tromboncino!
What is the best way to go about making plant information cards to set in front of the plants to help with customer questions during the plant sale?

Trying to start my plants this year.

If you are local to AR, check out Mindful Farmer AR. If not check out Bootstrap Farmer's website
@@WhisperingWillowFarm Thank you so much for responding! 😊
There is no way I could make any money doing this. Sell all my plants, buy everyone else's.
Thank you for this advice! I'm participating in my first plant sale this year and I have been wondering a lot of these things.
Packed full of useful information and sound advice. I hope the plant sale is successful and fun reconnecting with your loyal community buyers.

What do you put the plants in to send them home? Say someone buys a six pack do you use plastic bags?

What basil is that, that you would put in lemonade? I have only seen green leaf basil.
Very helpful

How do you suggest to harden off plants?
I have been dying to sell plant starts and am determined to do it this year. Question though, I have no greenhouse and can't afford one yet and absolutely no room in my house. Any suggestions on a way I can make this happen?
Unfortunately you are going to have to make space somewhere. If it's in the budget, I would buy some grow lights and maybe even a shelf
I set up some regular lamps with grow light or LED bulbs in 2 areas of my house near windows. It has worked well. But yes, you will have to have at least some small space

An experienced grower might know alot more than a person who is just learning, is it more harmful to talk about it or not talk about it.
No one is selling GMO garden seeds
GMO seeds are not available to the consumer market, all seeds that anyone is using at home are non GMO. Too bad, GMOs are awesome!
❤❤❤
