In this video, I break down an awesome effect from ESPN's new NBA Playoffs commercial. This motion blur trail effect looked so cool on tv and seemed like it would be pretty challenging, but surprisingly ended up being very achievable with the tools available natively inside of Adobe After Effects!

The only different way I could think of using cc wide time or echo instead of pixel motion. But I never thought of exporting png sequences to make it easier for effects till now thank you for that

Tried echo and it wasn’t bad, didn’t think about cc wide time though! Might do some more messing around

I want to do this effect but every time I add the Pixel motion blur, it makes the video not transparent. Any suggestions

you have to create it on a layer below

I think you have to add it to the top of all the other effects

When I drag the pixel motion blur onto the roto clip, my background come back after I rotoscoped. Do you know why that is?
