Funny that a group of 5 men has 4 tenors, 3 baritones, 2 basses and a world class beatboxer.
The amazing thing is they sang this song in the exact same key, as Cam the original artist for this song....who is a female. So for four men to sing in the same key.... well, that is the incredible talent of Home Free. Also Adam's beatboxing is simply incredible in this one!

Yes, Chance can also sing bass, before Chance was in Home Free he was the bass guy in a group called "Street Corner Symphony" they were runner-up in the 2nd season of The Sing-Off and Chance had longer hair then too. Their performances are on YT if you want to check them out.
When Tim goes high, Chance goes low. Don't forget that Adam Chance was the bass singer for his previous group Street Corner Symphony. Check season 2 of the Sing Off. They came in 2nd.
They have very wide ranges, so they can produce 2 basses, 3 baritones and 5 tenors, which is kind of crazy.
This is what happens when talent, hard work, perseverance, skill, and love for their craft come together. Their musicianship is unparalleled. In my opinion, nobody does it better. Great reaction.
Besides Tim going up in his range (and staying there through the whole song, if you notice) and Chance going down in his lower range, I think the underlying feeling of "different" in this arrangement is that they are singing in a higher key than they normally do. They chose to sing this in its original key as sung by Cam, a female country singer.

I love watching reactors on this song just because I love the expressions on their faces when the song starts with Tim singing so high and then all of a sudden Chance hits that low note lol
There's a reason Home Fries suggest reactors wait a while to react to this and you demonstrated it perfectly. We want reactors to get used to the "normal" ranges of the guys so that they are amazed when they get to this one. I'm so glad you reacted to it.

If you check out Seasons 2 of the sing off you will see a group named Street Corner Symphony and their bass is none other than Chance. They came in 2nd place that year.

Yes this is the song with surprises. It's so great. Home Free is good. All the switches they do is amazing. Super sung. The Inhuman and Incredible Adam. Tim's tenor, Chance's deep bass(!!!!)And Rob and Austin taking a different pitch too.
Home Free is the group for me. They are so great, but still keep their own identity. No egos.
I must have seen this 50 times and I'm still picking up stuff in the percussion and the backing vocals. Soooooo good.
This song is one of my favorites. Your surprise at hearing the switch ups in the voices was great. Tim can sing in a beautiful higher tenor voice along with Austin & Rob. And Chance can hit the lower bass notes when needed. And Adam did a fabulous job as always with his vocal percussion. This song is sung by a woman Cam, so they sung it in a higher key to match the original.

Well Chance is actually a bass singer. In his other group Street Corner Symphony he was the bass singer. Infact he was on the Sing Off in season 2 and they got second place. Truly enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.

This song still shocks people. But before Chance started covering bass more frequently and allowing Tim the ability to do "Tim things" up and down the octaves, this song was THE SONG for us fans to sit back in anticipation for the reactions to everything happening. And now that Chance is incorporated into the group sliding up and down the octaves too, it's a mystery as to who is going to cover what part every time they do something new! I love this small herd of magical unicorns! ❤🦄

I've watched it probably over 200 times & I never get tired of hearing it or watching people react to it & freaking out when they hear Tim sing high tenor & Chance sing bass! That's why Home Fries ask reactors to wait until they know the guys & what parts they normally sing! Chance was the bass singer for his previous a cappella group, Street Corner Symphony, but with him singing baritone most of the time, it's still a surprise when he takes over bass for Tim! 😲🥳🎼🎵🎶😊 Austin & Rob were both as smooth as a baby's butt & Adam...what can you ever say about Adam! I love that you know Home Free so well so the switcheroo was fun for you. A lot of reactors watch it and think Tim is the tenor and we have to say, no, he’s the BASS!!! It’s just fun to see and also see Chance do the bass this time. He was a bass in his first group so this isn’t tough for him although Tim can go lower. I love the song too, it’s catchy and well done. One of the great things about them getting Chance is that he sang bass in the last group he was with. That means he can easily take over the bass line when Tim sings lead. I've noticed Tim seems be put onthe lead more often now that he he isn't as limited to the bass line as he used to be.

Ok *Chuckle* Now you know why the Fry's want our reactors to wait on it a bit . We all have felt that level of shock and awe so we want you to also. Now Adam Chance Use to be a Bass with Street Corner Symphony and They placed 2nd in Sing Off Season 2 the year before PTX won and HF won Season 4.

There is a video from the Sing Off where Adam beatboxes with Layne & someone from one of the other groups. Adam completely blew them out of the water. They were not even close to his league.

Adam Chance is a super bass singer, He is actually a bass but sings bass-baritone in this group mostly because Tim handles the bass. He started his career in the a cappella group Street Corner Symphony for "The Sing Off" as their bass. He joined Home Free in 2016, after Chris Rupp left the band. In my humble opinion, (I will get flack for this) but Chance was a big improvement over Chris Rupp (I wasn't a fan) "However" I think his brother Adam Rupp is the best in the world!
Now you need to watch the video taken by an audience member "Mayday (Live)" - it's quite different from the studio video and really astonishing!
Chance will take over bass when Tim is in lead..
