ZL1 1LE | Can a Tire Change FIX its biggest problem?

- If you've seen auto journalist's review on the ZL1 1LE, their biggest complaint is that the suspension and ride is just too harsh. In this video, I change the tires to the Goodyear supercar Eagle F1 3 tires, a 220 treadwear tire, vs the factory Goodyear supercar Eagle F1 3R tires. Let's see if it makes a good difference.

As a ZLE owner - the most comfortable street tire is the Conti ECS.
Dang, that camera quality and pip view is a nice new angle. Almost looks like a grand turismo game.
You also put 18" on the CTR from the original 20". Less hard on the road.
My winter tyres are 18" and are way more comfortable to drive, but less grip, which is fine with me. 😅
To me i feel like if you are driving a camaro zl1 1le why are you trying to soften up the ride? If thats the case just get a regular zl1. I understand changing the tires for the road conditions such as weather and probably even longevity but its always good to experience the car in it’s native form. I love The supercar 3r’s I wish people would stop trying to trash the tire based off of what they’re trying to make the car be instead of what it is.They are the the most rigid and most responsive tire to use on the camaro zl1 1le and when brought up to temperature they stick. The camaro zl1 1le is not a drag car its not a comfort luxury car its a track car use it as such.
Also I’ve driven with the 3r in heavy rain and as long as you aren’t driving it like you have 4’s on then you should be fine i wont recommend doing it all the time but in cases where you do get caught in rain you will be fine . Drive the car with consideration.
I came across your video in search of an alternate tire. But the thought of the side walls not being as stiff as the 3r’s kind of turned me off of the 3’s. I may change it for longevity or for weather conditions but i dont daily drive the zl1 1le i use it occasionally and more specifically on dry days. Drive the car like it’s supposed to be driven its a track car not a comfort luxury car or a drag car.

None of these near cars give you the smile the sport hatch or type r did
the issue with the ZL1 1LE is that it's a monster with a business suit. It's absolutely serious about setting the track on fire, passing all the Porsches and BMWs, and eating Apexes for breakfast. I just got the newest Type R, and you're right, the smile on my face is obvious.
