We always recommend blue painter's tape! In our experience it does not pull off paint from previously painted areas. If the green tape is available, it's a good second choice!

my sister has asked me to paint a very large mandala stencil on her wall in gold. The stencil she has (I think)will need a pin (?) so that when you do the first stencil - once the first section is done, I am guessing you keep moving it around and taping as you go(?). What is the best sort of paint to use for this project in gold. I am a nurse, but like to do furniture art, but I have NEVER tried to paint a stencil. I feel very nervous about it. WHAT is the difference between using a foam roller and using a stencil brush? HELP. Thank you, Wendy
Hi Wendy, Here's a video that might help. I would use a bit of spray adhesive on the back of the stencil as well. Modern Masters make some pretty nice metalic golds but you can also buy regular craft acrylics too. Absolutely use a dense foam roller as it's a real time saver.
