Been waiting years for iracing to refine trackside sounds. At the very least , add some reverb. It doesn't have to be perfect , that would be asking a lot , but surely some basic reverb based on distance to car and surroundings isn't too difficult ? As it stands , Raceroom has much better trackside ambience. Come at me fanbois !

Next episode needs some F1 heading up through Eau Rouge, Trucks at Mosport, Prototypes on the banks of Daytona, SK Modifieds at New Hampshire, Pro-4s at Crandon, and either the dirt or classic Street Stocks at USA.
This is seriously weird, but also very cool. Suggestion for next time: Try to setup camera angles which don't look like a video game. If you are careful, you can avoid background details, and focusing which makes it look like a video game. Camera depth of field in particular can help avoid exposing a lot of fake looking things in the background.
Excuse me if this is a dumb question as I've not been subbed for a while - but have iRacing finally upgraded the sound engine like they promised to 5+ years ago?
@@LucasBE1 Well, that's subjective BUT it's not how I see the world. I do not think "if it works don't break it". I think "It works, but how can we improve it to make it amazing". And the sounds aren't. In my opinion basically the last one of the list of competitors
No Corvette C6R GT1, no Aston Martin, no Audi GTO, no Nissan GTP, no Lotus 79. Would be cool if you make similar video with r̶e̶a̶l̶ ̶c̶a̶r̶s̶, I mean classic cars ;)
The road Atlanta and red bull ring clips were just perfect. Haven't been able to make it to Mosport the past few years becaue of covid and i missed this sound so much. Also I never realized how good the sound was. You don't really get a sense for how it sounds as a spectator when watching the tv cams or onboard when you're racing.
The one thing i like about iracing graphics is that they don't tend to be overly dependent on cinematic color grading. That is how you know that the graphics engine is good when the color grading is natural and still the shader looks realistic. Not very heavy with gamma or tints.
I fall asleep to races. The engine sounds sooth me. Time to start being soothed at work. :)
