I tried Stardust respark. Shock and impact it leaves on opponent never expecting this when theyre about to kill you is invaluable. I actually won few games because of that by summoning stardust warrior from extra.

Astral Barrier allows you to turn attacks on your monsters to direct attacks. So it has something.

I feel like I should try to make a deck with this, and Shadow Impulse. Think about it, they manage to get a stardust or whatever off the field, then you just go into Beelze, or Void Ogre, Hot Red Dragon Arch, Scrap Dragon, or stardust/spark stardust.

It's a decent card, but I feel the card could be a little better since it is restricted to monsters that were Special Summoned. Sometimes your opponent can't kill you and Normal Summons a monster just to get that extra bit of damaged so they can ensure the kill. If the card could negate the attack and end the battle phase I think it would be a lot better overall. They probably could have even included that the Special Summon could not be negated onto the card as well since many card effects can negate Special Summons now.
But it's still a decent card none the less

You won't be able to summon Stardust Dragon /assault mode because it says on the card that it can only be special summoned by the effect of assault mode activate and it's own effect and cannot be special summoned by other ways.

jk844100 ah right. We could however chain this to atk, summon a stardust, upon successful summon (or chain to if need be ) activate the assault mode card and get out the assault mode that way.
