@@alexvillarreal3947 turning 30 this year 😂😂 Seriously though this song brings me bittersweet tears of the friends , relationships, people I’ve known, the memories and late night talks while this song was playing in my soul. everything and everyone changes for the good or bad ❤️
This song is raw and intense. Has a great message behind it and empowers the youth. I can't say this is traditional hip-hop but in every sense of what hip-hop was founded on, this brings the message back to the culture.
Now don’t get me wrong, I love Raury’s music and personality. That being said, this song or at least video doesn’t empower the youth at all. Literally the only things done in this video were Smoke and drink around children, randomly destroy things, steal liquor, then do drugs at a bonfire, Cocaine, Pills, Weed, etc. look I still love Raury’s vibe but don’t get it twisted.
I had started the movie "Lucy" and fell asleep, awoke during the credits to this song. Maybe it was just my "high" thinking, but, maybe this is really special. I jotted down some lyrics, as I knew I was too high to remember them for the morning. Just googled the lyrics and found the song/artist/video. It wasn't being high, fuck, this kid is, just fuck, talented. I'm inspired; "I hear God's whisper calling my name" possesses me, is challenging me. Oh, and I'm a 56 year-old gay white man. I studied classical rhetoric including the rhetoric of poetry at Berkeley as an undergraduate; this kid is in the league of the inspired thinkers, and has the talent to express his voice.
Mike Thakar I was also deep in the credits of Lucy when I discovered this song, I ended up dancing around my lounge to this still playing on the credits lol
Definitely brilliant. To him, God's Whisper was his intuition & natural calling in life. He views himself as savior because he spreads that message to others because they have Gods Whisper or their natural calling in life too. He feels what's going on in the world mostly because of us 'old people" & our mentality. He says kids his age should do what they want and not be indoctrinated by schools, religion etc. He feels his generation should focus on living "a fearless life" He said we just want them to go to school, graduate, have kids and die. He feels that's living life on his knees and he refuses. Growing up already having thr internet gives these teens and younger access to so much knowledge that they're already tolerant of race, sex gender & they're not limited to knowing only the city they live in like us old heads. Lol. A brilliant young man.
I can't believe this is something I haven't found or so long. I'm in love with this song so much. Thank you DARK, for having it featured in one of the episodes.
I just finished watching American Honey and this song is at the very end. I’m glad I was able to find it so quickly after googling the words I thought I heard. The lyrics and the instrumental are so powerful. The video is awesome! Thank you Raury for your art!
ik its intentional but the fact they're drinking in front of a dead end sign stands out to me, the symbol, the message, the picture it paints. Raury need more recognition💯
This aint for black, white, native Americans, orientals, or any other race in particular. The angst I feel when I think about our SPECIES is overwhelming more often than not. We NEED more people like this.
I think anyone who does not allow themselves to be distracted by the inconsequential things in this world do have concern for our species. Personally, I'm more concerned about how much destruction we will cause the world and everything in it before we commit species hara-kiri. Peace.
Which is the best kind of freaking music. If it's too literal there's no imagination behind it. When you're able to come up with your own meaning to it, it makes the music and song way more memorable. I just found this man tonight. Will be buying absolutely everything he has to sell.
I was astonished when i first heard this song. It is very deep. He says he is his savior because Indigo children, such as myself, believe God is in all of us from conception and before. We believe we are born into this life because we chose this life. Including the choice of who we want to have as parents. (why I chose the ones I have, is beyond me) lol Indigo children also feel like they were born in the wrong era, or are much older than there chronological ages. I felt this way as a child, but never knew why. This song speaks volumes about that because Raury sings as though he is much older and wiser despite the fact that he is very young. If you read up on Indigo children, you will definitely understand this song. Very powerful words. :)

Seriously though this song brings me bittersweet tears of the friends , relationships, people I’ve known, the memories and late night talks while this song was playing in my soul.
everything and everyone changes for the good or bad ❤️
This young generation is fighting and speaking about injustices. It's time for CHANGE!
Not if u want my weapon
It’s been time for change since we were created people are just finally opening there eyes to how bad the earth has gotten
Lol, that applies to every generation. And the world is still f.cked up.

Came after watching DARK, why this songs doesn’t have billion views? WHY??????
Let's make this now !!
IT DOEN'T HAVE 1 BILLION VIEWS BECAUSE IT WAS NEVER THE REAL VERSION :-)
Because everyone is listening shit 👋
They do, just not now :)
because that would be 1 7th of the worlds population. that's why not. good song though but there are more important songs out there.
The perfect blend/chemistry of rhythm, flow, lyrics, and just the music video is amazing! Fit perfectly in American honey the movie 🙏
Here because of American Honey. Heard the song at the end and was absolutely captivated.
Love that choir like sound in the background
M.A.S it’s so amazing ❤️
Devil's whisper:- devil is the nightmare
God's whisper:- god is the reality, god is waking up and being grateful.
GOD IS CELEBRATION.
❤❤❤
🙏
Or they're both one and the same. The beginning and the end. Heaven and hell both on earth.

God is time
This song is raw and intense. Has a great message behind it and empowers the youth. I can't say this is traditional hip-hop but in every sense of what hip-hop was founded on, this brings the message back to the culture.
As a Christian I can't condone his message but in terms of style, I really like it. Thematically it's a great counter-part to Devil's Whisper.
Rathanak-
word
Now don’t get me wrong, I love Raury’s music and personality. That being said, this song or at least video doesn’t empower the youth at all. Literally the only things done in this video were Smoke and drink around children, randomly destroy things, steal liquor, then do drugs at a bonfire, Cocaine, Pills, Weed, etc.
look I still love Raury’s vibe but don’t get it twisted.
Joey Martinez look at it from a different point of view bud.
Indigo child bringing messages to the sleepers. Absolutely beautiful ❤️

Lol im high right now
Mike Thakar I was also deep in the credits of Lucy when I discovered this song, I ended up dancing around my lounge to this still playing on the credits lol
Crazy shit,I discovered it the exact same way...
Hey, you should watch the serie Dark on Netflix its very good
And also ur the same age as my dad so take care!
Lol. A brilliant young man.
who else came from the Hawkstorm map hehehe ever since i heard it ive been listening to it on loop

I just finished watching American Honey and this song is at the very end. I’m glad I was able to find it so quickly after googling the words I thought I heard. The lyrics and the instrumental are so powerful. The video is awesome! Thank you Raury for your art!
x2 exactly now... the same
Spotify suggested it in discover weekly like a few weeks ago.
ik its intentional but the fact they're drinking in front of a dead end sign stands out to me, the symbol, the message, the picture it paints. Raury need more recognition💯

Just watched American Honey movie and this song was the last scene. Good movie and obsessed with this song!
When this song come on I feel super human frfr. This song that deep.

Dark brought me here . Great series with great music .
This aint for black, white, native Americans, orientals, or any other race in particular.
The angst I feel when I think about our SPECIES is overwhelming more often than not.
We NEED more people like this.
wtf are you even talking about? when did race become part of the song?
+patrick starshooter wtf are you even talking about? when did he say race had to do with the song?
Rion Rich yep yep yeppppp
and like yourself !
I think anyone who does not allow themselves to be distracted by the inconsequential things in this world do have concern for our species. Personally, I'm more concerned about how much destruction we will cause the world and everything in it before we commit species hara-kiri. Peace.
God's whisper and Devils whisper are both subjective. We listen to our own intuition and see what we get from them.
Which is the best kind of freaking music. If it's too literal there's no imagination behind it. When you're able to come up with your own meaning to it, it makes the music and song way more memorable. I just found this man tonight. Will be buying absolutely everything he has to sell.
+Josh Kirby I love a song where there is only one meaning. 1 million people can develop 1 million wrong opinions.
+Andrew Roy well, that is also true I suppose
Andrew Roy they aren't wrong,
This sounds like kid cudi had a baby with a folk band I'm ok with it
You pretty much gift wrapped that one lol
Discovered this song after hearing it on Dark S2 yesterday, then played it while driving. Was like "this sounds like Cudi so much"
Yeah Lil Nas X made a baby with Neil Young
@@sred937 Raury goes beyond!!
Perfect description!
This song is perfection
What if everyone is an indigo? But i dont think so because if aura dependecy...
wendi, all true - plus, raurys girlfriend is the most gorgeous thing on earth -
Keith Richards, she is a person, not a thing. Semantics, yes, but the distinction is that important to be made--any time we're talking about *people*.

In my opinion I don't care for the lyrics or this video yet the music was very cool. I get why too ..... perfect closing song for the movie LUCY. Very deep. There's a much BIGGER picture to this small life we know so little.

I felt so sorry for those kids. They had no where to go. It was all so aimless. They didn't know who they wanted to be. But I think they were figuring it out. It was a beautiful film. Reminded me of Larry Clark's 1995 film KIDS.
It took me awhile but I came to realize this is one of my favorite Raury songs. #Indigochild
