I thought this win was pretty dominate actually. It just pales a little in comparison to the type victories achieved 2 to 3 videos back. Those were awesome. You had right units at right place most of the time. The Germans are catching up finally in armor quality with these latest fights.
Absolutely, looking back while editing the video, I realized it looked bad bc I was always looking at the things that needed attention. The 105mm Howitzers did so much of the leg work.
great game, great content in general. I'm not quite caught up on your American conquest, but for future thoughts(just my opinion): the m24 chaffee and m8 75mm HMC are great early to mid-war armor. For infantry, i love the later 82nd squads w/1919mg and the 101st, can't go wrong. The 1st Special Combat Section is great if you're more infantry focued. Also, I'd just like to throw out some advice I find useful that i've told @sirjellybean @gaminggrognards @generalshiba and a few others, which is, as the americans, loot the germans for anti-tank mines, smoke, frags etc. One last funny thing; did you know you can mount BARs, 1919s etc. on german lafayette mg mounts and put mg 34/42s on US tanks with removable mounted mgs? Its silly but fun. I'm going on almost 300-350 hours of mostly single player on GOH. I love it, and thanks to you and all other GOH content creators(especially vanilla conquest games.) Thanks you and all the rest for a lot of great binging on yt. Good day sir, as a fellow american: "praise the lord and pass the ammuniton" as the WW1 phrase goes and keep your powder dry. keep putting out top tier content, there are far too few people that showcase GOH. Have a good one.
Small thing about what you said at 2:40 you're mistaken but partially on the right track. That thing at the end of the gun is a muzzle brake. Unless I got my facts mixed up, the late war hellcats were equipped with the M1A1C with a threaded barrel that could accept muzzle brakes (usually nothing was fitted on these guns and they just had the thread protector fitted) and later the M1A2 gun with a muzzle brake and improved rifling. However the muzzle brake doesn't increase the velocity and/or range, however what it does do is dampen recoil from firing and divert the muzzle blast from firing to the sides to limit dust getting kicked up and obscuring visibility. Not having to wait for the dust to settle after firing would allow for quicker effective follow-up-shots as well as the improved rifling would probably affect accuracy at longer ranges. As for how the game incorporates modification, I'm not sure but goddamn the Hellcat is a sexy tank.
In general I've really enjoyed the amount of machineguns on the American tanks, especially early on in campaigns with the M1917 Browning on the back of the M3 Stuart for example. Great bit of free firepower if you throw an infantry man on them! @@PuggoRebornChannel
Nice defense! Don't forget to bring double the tank crews, as the tanks come with an empty slot for the 50. You have to manually assign a guy onto that unfortunately. (If you didn't already know!)
Yeah the Marder is a tank killer for sure at quite a distance too (let the howitzer deal with it?) . Many of the engineers carry TNT so any wooden bridge can be blown. put it down then high tail it out fast or you'll lose the engineer. on either side of the blown bridge put AP AND AT mines because some of the wheeled vehicles and all enemy soldiers can cross the water. Then you can funnel all their armor to less areas that you can focus on. Great job they were really going for broke there, wasn't pretty but it was a "W".
Great defense.. the AI pushes hard, that for sure.. Now, onto a bigger topic, the blown bridge.... I wonder, could one "takeout" the bridge with the demolitions satchels that the 82nd AB troopers are carrying.. Might need to test that tonight... thoughts?
@PuggoRebornChannel we've found that some rivers can be "too deep", the crew jumps out if it is. That really does expand the tactical options for funneling enemies into killzones.. way more manageable and predictable if you can force the enemy in a direction you want..
This game seems designed to push the player to the point where they are feeling desperate and then the AI pulls back a little allowing you to regroup, repair and win victory. I think that is a good formula to keep us players entertained and keep us playing.
@@PuggoRebornChannel oh praise sweetbaby inc. Jesus for that. Just gotta prevent your boyfriend from saying Stewart wrong and all will be well with youtube in time for Christmas.
A very minor point: You keep saying what sounds like "Ma-rau-der" (3 syllables, synonym for Raider) when referring to a vehicle that is actually called a "Mar-der" (2 syllables, German for Marten). FWIW, this means "Marten" in German, which is a bushy tailed weasel.
@@PuggoRebornChannel Cool. I wondered if maybe it was an inside joke name, like the Nipple-Whippers, or whatever you've been calling those just for fun. Maybe call these ones "Murders" after what they did to you in this episode?😄
Bro, you deserve more attention.
Thank you, sir!
That intro clip was awesome! I cant wait to see the rest. I appreciate the upload!

nice man i like the comprehensive breakdowns
Not exactly a pyrrhic victory but this one was hard-won for sure. It's great to know that bridges can be blown, that'll come in handy in future maps.

Yes! I was mixing it up and trying to remember the correct terminology. Hellcat is gross lmao love it

Yea, I just get caught up with everything else, haha. You'll see I do it from time to time throughout the series. Good looking out

No idea how you pulled that off! I would have collapsed for sure.
great fight, i would've surely been screwed if those tanks were coming my way

Absolutely, I had no idea it could be taken out. Either way, it could make for some great tactics

Where are you getting marauder from? Marder means Martin, it's a big weasel.
Idk why I said marauder lol. I already address this in next episode. I listened back and was like wtf haha

Tomorrow's episode, I talk about it. Lol I listened to it while editing and was like wtf. Ik better, but for some reason, I let it slide

An ugly win, is a win none the less! lol
You can say that again haha
