I remember when I did this recently with my friend and a bunch of other crews. We were doing a fort of the damned, until one stranger (with a skelly curse) was originally intending to keg our ship, but later changed his mind and opted to get us wrapped in the Glitterbeard "Ritual". It was a lovely time spent with one another.
What an incredibly well done video! The music and story are as compelling as the game. Proud to be your newly discovered millionth subscriber! A moving experience of friendship and heart-warming connections which are few and far between these days. Who knew? Only thing missing is the invitation to like and subscribe because we need to be reminded and we forget! Awesome!
Yeah 99.96% of my player interactions are being verbally attacked for sinking someone or being verbally attacked for being sunk by someone. The only non-toxic interactions I have are with my friends I got into the game which is mostly derping around on the ship while we sail between fights and or quests.
I still have to do the last part before I cannot play the game anymore, will probably have to site off Plunder Island with the Glitterbeard sails as some form of beacon when I can
Now while I agree that being friendly is fun, in the journals themselves they even say that fighting each other is also necessary. There has to be a balance, not necessarily leaning one way or the other. The game isn’t all about doing world events without any fear of other players, but it also shouldn’t be a game where you can’t at least try to talk to someone first. You need both for this game to be as good as it is. You need the good and the evil to achieve the balance. Without balance the game can fall into Turmoil, with the side for good complaining about the evil, or the evil complaining about the good. You need bloodthirsty combat AND fun friendly antics. Not one or the other.
Well the journals pretty much say the man who was "Glitterbeard" tried out Reapers and it wasnt his preference. Although we here at the shovel gang are all sweaty blood thirsty pirates 99% percent of the time. I don't think we disagree. The video pretty much conveys the same thoughts.
Personally for me the most impactful side/expansion mission in a game was Echoes of the Eye for Outer Wilds. That game is so emotional and the story so deep that it will change your life.
I think the best and most rewarding thing I have done in-game was just giving my loot to another player. I was going to help him out more but a giant crab monster vapourised me.
I believe it is after you find ALL the journals or when you find the last journal. I can't remember exactly but I would find the last one first, then if you still don't have it, find the rest.
I'm sure if you really wanted you could look it up. There are plenty of people who weren't supposed to stream it but did anyway so now the information is out there.

It is absolutely still in the game. It requires more than 4 people to do. That's as much as I'll say... There are plenty of guides online on how to do it but I would recommend just experiencing it yourself and trying to figure it out. If you can't no shame in it.
The crew we met to do it the first time had to look up a guide that was posted 1 hour before we got to the stage cause it was super complicated and not easy to figure out.
Remember! its just a game and you get something out of everyfight you get info on how to handle situations better and at the end of the day if you let a new player kill you once in a while you may just morivate them to keep going and then youll have alot more good fighters on the seas.
If you still haven't been able to do this, you can sometimes find a "Looking For Group" post of someone trying to complete it. Or make your own post for it.
It's too bad about Sea of Thieves. My wife and I won't play it the way it is now. We first met in World of Warcraft 13 years ago when we were both over 60. Give Sea of Thieves a more PVE way to play, and I will pay full price for two copies of the game.
