- The fifth-most populated city in the state, St. Petersburg is known as “Florida’s Sunshine City.” Did you know it averages 361 days of sunshine each year? In fact, between 1967 and 1969, St. Pete logged a world record for the most consecutive days of sunshine. 768 straight days of nothing but sun and fun.
St. Pete’s downtown area is dynamic, always evolving and reinventing itself to attract a younger demographic. When it comes to the best things to see and do here, it’s all subjective and even locals would tell you there’s so much, even they haven’t done everything.
In this episode, we’re showing you what we think you should see when you’re visiting St. Pete, the best things that should be at the top of your list.

One of my favorite places! Nothing beats the sunsets at St. Pete beach.
Moving there next month! Can't wait to begin exploring!
You might have included world class Florida Orchestra, St. Petersburg Opera, and the American Stage or Free Fall Theatre productions.
Excellent preview for our upcoming trip. Looking forward to visiting all the sites.
Thanks Judy! Glad to help!!
Saint Pete Pier is awesome and the views are breathtaking
Mazzaro’s Italian Market. So good. Worth the visit!
Next time!
Have you ever been to Mazzaro's Italian Market? It's just a short drive from downtown. Might be nice to highlight one day, if you haven't already. It's a real gem.
364 days of sunshine and you chose the one day it rained to shoot this video? 😂
Don’t control the weather
Yea!! Ft De Soto!
I ❤ Saint Petersburg. My apartment overlooks Mirror Lake with the fountain in your opening video. I've been to some Rays Baseball games at the Trop. We're a small business city with Lots of restaurants & small businesses. I buy local. Beach Drive between 5th Ave North & 1st Ave South have Fantastic restaurants with a view of the bay & pier. The Pier is BEAUTIFUL. God BLESS you. 😊
St. Pete is a beautiful city!
Chad, when you get a chance, you should take a Bay Area Info Tour.
St. Petersburg is a different town/city from St. Pete Beach, FL about 30 minutes+ away. When you say Bay area, it's specifically the Tampa Bay area, just to clarify.
This video only covered St. Pete itself, not the beach area. We have other videos on some of the neighboring beaches.
@@ChadGallivanter St. Petersburg doesn't have much of a beach, just along Vinoy Park where volleyball is played in the sand, and just south of that area. Looking to the east towards Tampa, the sunrises are photographed each morn by Ambassador Al.🌅 The CITY of St.Pete Beach, FL does have a larger beach than St. Petersburg, FL. Looking to the west, the sunsets are beautiful. TY for posting.☀️
Let me know when you’re down here next Chad! We love all your videos! 🤠
Will do! Thanks Matt!

Make sure you are living on a boat.
Looks like you went on one of those rare days with no sunshine? 😂
This particular visit to St. Pete, we had been in the area a couple of days recording content for guides on nearby beaches. Downtown St. Pete was our final day and the skies opened up early in the morning. Our process doesn’t always stop because of the weather.
