So story time, this song is the story of alot of break ups. My ex and i turned reall toxic, not like hitting eachother but it was pretty much exactly as described in the lyrics of the song. We got into a real big fight, seperated again and i found out she was moving in with another guy acrosd the country. I was so angry, hurt and destroyed but... as time went on and i heard from here from time to time the pain went away and the missing kicked in for both of us. Today we are real good friends, close hell we even tell eachother nsfw jokes and even spend days just saying sorry to eachother for how childish we acted. This song PERFECTLY describes that breakup and would be perfect in an album going through the stages of a toxic relationship and eventually getting into a healthy one
I'm not trying to be that "wow this is so much better than the original" guy, but as someone who _hates_ the original version of this song (part of it is definitely retail PTSD lol) I wanna put into words why how much more I like this one. Both the delivery and especially the use of the back and forth just adds this tangible level of *spite* that isn't there in the original for me, and turns what felt to me like a dime a dozen whiny breakup song into something that really feels like genuine messy breakup lashing out. You guys both killed this!

It makes me want to hear a full “Misery Business” cover by him.
I was so happy it was in there. In my mind, the two make the perfect duet.
I have a head-canon that misery business is actually sung by the "new girl" from good 4 u "Found a new girl and it only took a couple weeks."
And good 4 u is sung by the girl who has "body like an hourglass" from misery business.
And that both songs are written at the same time by the two opposing women in the same story.
Gotta admit when I saw the title I wasn't expecting it to hit home very hard, this year I experienced many losses each taking me down to depression when I got dumped it wasn't a good way to start facing my troubles, made me feel like I didn't even deserve to be around anymore.
But honestly your cover songs are have helped me cheer up and keep facing my troubles one by one.
Songs can be pretty magical like that
I've spent the last few months in love with someone who has been doing nothing but hurting and trying to replace me, doing everything I can to rationalize how i can still become close again and regain what we had, but like... hearing this songs finally gave me the words to realize I am... livid. I've given everything to someone who told me I was the only one who ever got him, someone who got in one fight with me and starting dating one of our mutual friends within the week. As much as I desperately tried to stay in love, this song finally broke me out of it and made me realize that he doesn't deserve forgiveness he never bothered trying to earn in the first place.
When not only lyrics, but the emotions they are sung with, really connect with you it can put a lot into perspective and help realign you so you can start facing your troubles, and I think that's pretty incredible

You know, it seems like the first therapist wasn't quite enough.
I was introduced to this song from TripleQ's "Good4U is an original song that doesn't plagiarise at all" Mashup, so hearing the Paramore spliced in there sounded so natural that I think it would actually sound weirder to me without it there ahaha.

I love this song! Tbh I'll be honest I didn't know who this lady was but now I realize she's definitely an unappreciated person. She's got more talent then a lot of the biggest channels.

I really liked the inclusion of the Misery Business lyrics for the duet portions, works really well with the angrier feel of the cover. and that instrumental? incredible, really upped the drama and made it feel more like an argument/dialogue than one person venting to themself
