Dear Mikrotik, please release Audience with AX support. But, Audience should have 3 radios as it was in previous version, one for backhaul, and others 2 for clients.
Still seems like a niche kind of device. Better than repeaters, but nothing beats cabling.
@returnedinformation1040 agree with you, but there are situations where you can't connect AP by wire, so for such cases Mikrotik Audience is the best option.
Doesn't seem to be on the radar. wAP ax was on FCC for months before this release.

Great device but since it has AX3000, why doesnt't it have 2.5GbE port? It would be a killer device if it had multi gig LAN port
because it only has 2 chains (=max 80mhz channel). The 1gig port is not the bottleneck.
How about the device IPv6 forwarding performance?
In Mikortik documents, I see faked/incomplete performance measurements left and right for forwarding, but how does it perform with few very simple IPv6 firewall rules, and passing very simple max MTU packet transfers?
Shouldn't you guys be releasing WiFi 7 products right now?

All fun apart, I'm happy with my wap2nd. However I had to change it's OS to v7 due to some strange issues. No access to this WAP; ntp client not working, decreasing performance (despite low cpu load). ROSv7 solved it apparantly. Never had this kind of flaws. Could it be the mix of ROSv7 (CAP AX) and v6?

Why are there 1Gb ports vs 2.5Gb/5Gb or at least 1x10Gb poe with 2.5GB port 2? AX needs more wired bandwidth. If you put 1Gb on WiFi 7 I'm gonna lose my marbles.
Please, less 1Gb ports on AX or newer WiFi, 1x10Gb port minimum! Preferably 2x10Gb poe++. Tp-link has wifi 7, eating your products for breakfast.
They are moving towards 2.5GB albeit very slowly but to be truthful you won't get the full bandwidth of WiFi 6 anyway. Although they haven't released any WiFi 7 devices I prefer that over the rushed products that Tp-link and other companies released. The wAP is designed to be an outdoors product and is built in a certain way to prevent overheating and I think 10GB ports would be super unrealistic for this product maybe for future cAPs but I can't see the WiFi 7 wAP having 10GB ports.
@@WonderinSoulPR if you want to build something different and bigger having the options would be saving us from plugging in more power items. I love Mikrotik, have a client using the 60Ghz setup outside for a dog training business extending and AP 200FT without running LAN. Connected to a Meraki MR53. Basic for security cameras and employee use near entrance of the outside training center. Eager to help test unreleased wireless products!
@@WonderinSoulPR I was getting 5Gb on my s24 Ultra wireless WiFi 7 30 ft away. Issue was the model I used only had 2.5Gb LAN, I have 1Gb or 10Gb and no Wi-Fi 7 card on the desktop (32core 3970x 128GB RAM dual 10Gb Ethernet)...anyways I'm a network engineer and would love to see dual 10Gb Ethernet for link aggregation, 802.11ay with WiFi 7 for next gen cubes would be ideal. Need to compete with some of the other 60Ghz mmWave providers. They also want 4x the cost.
But 10Gb Wireless 60Ghz + WiFi 7 with 3ft antenna 10Miles sounds fine. Under $1k for the pair.

5 years late kids, wifi 7 or go home! Mikrotik, get with the times. No more wifi 6 and beyond without at least 10Gb port. I dont know why you would give barely 2Gb on Wifi 6. Waste of time.

People always be pressuring hardware vendors to push out 7 8 9 10 idk bro, and I've SO rarely seen even 6 being deployed in public places where they should perform optimally and best.
True. You don't make video editing with files on NAS with a laptop with 17" screen, that you would need such speed. For phones, UA-cam, Gaming and casual file transfers WiFi 6 is more than enough for now. I mean, it's nice to see more then 1 Gbps on gigabit when you are doing speedtest, but useles in common usage. At least for now.
What about 4g or 5g support in upcoming wAP ax models?

@@miankamran802 well, you described your problem with crap, so there is only so much one can do. Buy UI device and your problem should be solved. I have 5 Mikrotik APs arround house, controlled by Capsman and no problems.

Damnit MikroTik, you guys need to start polling your actual end users. What is the point of the 2nd ethernet port if it doesn't do PoE out?.....
This would be good if it could go into a hotel room and also be used to power a VoIP phone/intercom right next to it, but without PoE passthrough its a port that 99% of people will never use

Absolutely! We need PoE out as in cAP series, for powering 2nd AP in big apartment, or Voip phone, or IP camera. Please, fix it in new release /R2

Wi-fi 7 ???? Almost every manufacturer has it, but not here! These devices should be presented, not wi-fi 6!!!
If there is only 1G port that means your product can not outperform any Unifi or Grandstream AP, again mikrotik you make awesome routers, but your wifi sucks.

This is a WiFi only device, there is no modem slot.

Now we just need wAP ax Pro. 4x4 MIMO with 2.5Gbit SFP for a GPON Uplink, and 5x 2.5Gbit Ethernet with at least 2x PoE out to power the likes of wAP 60G or an IP Camera.
This would make it ideal for providing Public/Municipal WiFi.
wAP with 5x2.5G? At that point it’s not wAP.

Dear developers, fix the errors in RouterOS 7, your WiFi stack is buggy. Devices are disconnected every 10 minutes
I have been running a hAP AX3 for almost a year.
Had issues on 7.14.x, but otherwise Wi-Fi stack has been solid for me.
Super basic setup with WPA2/3 and AX speeds, but been rapid and stable.
7.13.x and 7.15+ all tested with hAP AC2 as well... Seems fine to me.
Without 100% working capsman your wifi AX devices for large projects are useless. So sad.
Good news then, CAPsMAN is working 100% :)

@@zapy-85 yes, google wifi alliance webpage, product finder, you not found any certyfication at any MikroTik devices, when your a customer have got a card terminal it cannot connect to your wifi ! you must use cable. 50% of terminal in Poland have problem and in all logs you see only a mac try to connect and no more logs, case close. Thats why we use over 10y not MTK for wifi. Many ppl have many problems with MikroTik wifi, check forum.
WiFi alliance does not mean anything about compatibility. It is only a sticker to put on the box. In reality all our products are compatible with any wifi device.
Any card terminal in Poland is compatible with MikroTik WiFi devices, old and new. If you need help with setting up, drop us an email to support at mikrotik . com

I bought the MikroTik Chateau 5G for 500 Euros to improve my internet speed and stability in central Riga, just 500 meters from the tower. Unfortunately, it's been a major disappointment. The user interface is incredibly complicated, with endless configuration options-unless you have a master’s degree in IT, you’ll be lost. To make matters worse, the signal strength is five times weaker than what I had with my previous Huawei router.
