Seems like they could've gotten an Amharic translator for Tola so he could express himself more fully.
@@jdy89 the other thing is that Bashir's English is just suberb, which made Tola look worse. Apparently the dude speaks ~five~ languages.

@@Dasycottusthe Somali lives abroad Tamerat comes from a small town ! So sad ! On top Somali was an ex English colony like Kenya ! Ethiopia negg be ef got colonized so we do speak and write our own language like Chinese would do ! So I find this very disrespectful from the organizers !
He doesn’t speak Amharic fluently as well he speaks Oromo and pretty sure he would rather speak English than getting Amharic Translator!
Tola looks like he speaks Oromifaa it's oromo name therefore he could have gotten an Oromifaa interpreter even though all Ethiopian are same people

He is born and grew up the same city Mustafe Omer the somali region president hails from but us in the somali region don't believe this Ethiopian fairtale. Ethiopia is the next Yugoslavia so no we are not Ethiopians we will build republic of Ogadenia very soon inshaAllah.

Why they do not provide translation ? Why athletes are presumed to speak English which is not their mother tongue ? Very sad ! Ethiopia being never colonized we do not speak English school are focused on our own language ! I find this rude for the athletes and not respectful esp that he not only won but break the Olympic record in marathon !
