REMOTE Solo Wild Camping in the Lake District- Alpkit Soloist

The Solo Summiteer - Lake District wild camp - it was a last minute decision to head for the mountains on a beautiful Bank Holiday weekend. I arrived late in the Lake District and had my eye on a remote area within the mountains giving stunning views of the Scafell range. En route I came across a walker with an injured dog who was unable to walk and needed help as she waited for the mountain rescue team. Once the mountain rescue guys arrived I continued into the mountains and got the Alpkit Soloist pitched up in the dark. The little tent performed great in winds of up to 25 mph. I returned the following morning by the same route in reverse. An 11 mile walk with 3650ft of ascent.
