True but if you think about it, the whole BR thing is still in its infancy state. Still very new and not many of them out there, if you actually think about it. At the same time he isn't wrong. As much as you hate BR's, they do bring a ton of longevity to games from both playing and watching.

@@Silvercx Well halo is literally my favourite game and I still play it all the time and any given chance I’m not a professional but I know that docs just taking the piss to try get them to cater for him because he likes the game really. he just thinks he won’t get the same viewers=money. Honestly it would make so much sense with the Halo mechanics. I’ve loved the arena gameplay for years but it’s basically the same old same old for this franchise yet again.

Bruh, this dude plays nothing but BRs/Warzone and he's saying this game's target audience is in the lower teens? Saying "Halo was for the split screen experience, never all that much about the campaign!" Idk what games he and streamers like him have played but their takes are honestly hot garbage when it comes to Halo. They so badly want a BR which can work don't get me wrong, but Halo as a franchise really dosen't fit that type of game. Halo has been an Arena style of shooter and not an arcade or "realistic" style like CoD's games or BF. It's just amazing how people will cut this game down just for not focusing on a BR
Plus if you want a BR, there is such a thing as Forge which Halo made hella popular and custom games
Infinite has problems but lack of BR isn't one of them. Not being a BR is almost the entire appeal of Halo these days. Hearing about input playlists has piqued my interest back in the game. I can play Halo really well on controller despite not normally using pad but I have a really bad injury that makes mouse the only healthy long-term option. Mouse on MCC games is possible but you're nerfing yourself, even if you're cracked on mkb.
Halo 2 online changed the world of competitive FPS forever, one of my most favored childhood memories. Grinding ranked until 4am with friends. Ahh nostalgia

Anyone calling for a BR in Halo doesn't understand the premise of the game. Ask battlefield how their BR tanked.
A BR has nothing to do with the premise of the game. Halo multiplayer has nothing to do with the premise of the game. It’s Spartans killing each other. Multiplayer is there for players to keep coming back to and for the game to have content beyond a single player regardless of whether it makes sense. Same as a BR would do. Battlefield BR tanked bc it had a lot of problems…..not because it was battlefield. If they do it well it could be a lot of fun….just a bigger halo multiplayer mode. There are plenty of people who probably know and understand Halo more than you ever will and still want a BR. Don’t state your opinion as fact.
@@pope-swaggerton4800 indeed opinions are not fact, and in my opinion the BR format is kinda over-rated with out a top of the line anti-cheat, nothing worse than sweating your way through 20 minutes of looting and getting loadout just to get your cheeks clapped by a god damned cheater. It's why if you take 10 minutes of your time to do any research CoD pvp players will call halo pvp and pve slow. Nothing about how halo was made says BR and I'm glad 343 said there will be no BR.

Halo doesn't "Need" a BR to be successful. Just because a game has a gun doesn't mean it's a BR waiting to happen. Again just look at battlefield.
What halo "Needs" is a flowing campaign and an ever evolving PvP. Btw does destiny "Need" a BR? They've been around a long time without it and have been very successful.

Even if Halo had a BR, loadouts wouldn't really be a thing. All weapons are the same you can just get different camos if I'm assuming correctly
I think the campaign actually looks really fun, but I don't disagree with the Doc where he said with a 6 year or so development cycle, and having the most expensive budget in gaming history or whatever, that Halo: Infinite sorta needs to stand out more. This is more on the management side of things, as far as what direction are they going to take the game in. And given all the development troubles and a (reportedly) lack of cohesive vision behind the scenes, that's probably why this might not be a 10/10 masterpiece GOTY or whatever. And it doesn't necessarily need to be that, but if it's Halo, you sorta want/expect that at this point. Either way though, I'm looking forward to the campaign and am pretty excited to give it a try.

I think it does, just a separate game mode, that's it! The same way Cod players can grind on Team Deathmatch, Domination, or Search and decide to switch to Warzone BR. I don't see why Halo can do the exact same. I wouldn't mind in the near future they release the BR a few months after Launch the same way Call of duty did. If halo does have the Battle Royale in the works, I believe it will be game changing.
It would take the effort and dev time away from making improvements to the multiplayer and story dlc. Not every game needs a BR, the streamers are just deluded into thinking any game with a gun needs a BR.

Still seems like the same ol halo tbh. Ive been praying for them to allow weapon customization like in cod, i want a battle rifle with a silencer, no scope, and fast mags please! Unlocking attachments and trying new mods is the only reason i play cod at all tbh.
Halo 5 had that in its Warzone game mode, plus a ton of advanced movement options. Thing is Halo 5 is also is regarded as the worst in the series by fans. Honestly sounds like like Sandbox focused FPS’s just aren’t your thing. It sounds like prefer straight gunplay in an FPS which is fine but it’s not really what most of the Halo fanbase wants.

Battle royal is a Trend that will eventually die out as trends do, Battle royals take up a ridiculous amount of recorces to create and maintaincand hog a lot of thoes recorces that could have been used to make a game that has an identity that will stand for the rest of time beyond this Trend. What will happen when Battle royals die? What will happen to all these games that invested so much time and effort into this trend. The servers will eventually all go down whether that be in 5 years or even 20 years. But Halo ce, that has lasted 20 years because it is a good game with the only intention of being a good game, so many online multiplayer based games are released and yet I know that eventually the servers will go down and I won't be able to play them anymore. It happened to Halo 2's multiplayer, and sure we have MCC, but that isn't the point. Halo 2's campaign will last the test of time because it's a good game while it's multiplayer died. I'm not saying any of these multiplayer based games aren't good games but they're games are made to takes as much money as possible of a period of time and then die when it looses popularity. Warzone will eventually die and all that will be left are Call of duty's excellent campaigns and a half baked multiplayer, or maybe thoes multiplayers will be dead as well, this is why Halo Infinite does not need a Battle Royal because all a that would do is chase a Trend and a half baked game

TTK was a bit too long for my taste but other than that it was coo. Now when it come to Br that genre has became OVERSATURATED and honestly not even fun anymore. That's why Rebirth saved Warzone. If it wasn't for Rebirth half the player base would be gone, including me. Rebirth gives u BR mixed with team deathmatch which gives u the best of both world and its more enjoyable in my opinion. The whole, loot, die, and back to the lobby style of gameplay is irritating and has ran its course with a lot of people..

I don’t think people understand what Dr and Tim are saying. They aren’t saying that Halo needs a BR to be good, they are saying halo needs a BR to have longevity. Personally I always liked the Halo campaigns, but FPS’s now need more in order to make them last. 6 v 6 team deathmatch doesn’t cut it for the masses atm.
So many butthurt Halo fans.. lol.. why does it matter if it has BR or not? You can play your outdated multiplayer TDM, it will have the same amount of players with or without BR, but having it will definitely give the game a bigger playerbase and that should be incentive enough for you to want to have it.

See I do like a good campaign. Halo 2 and 3 were THE shit. (Obviously multiplayer is in a different league)
But if that's what they are bringing to thr table....I'm not impressed. Not impressed at all. Obviously trying to cater to a younger audience completely turning its back on their original fanbase. I get it. A lot of them are now adults or geriatric in docs case 😉 but that core fanbase is still there.
