I have been spoiled for everything onwards from Shadowbringers but at that time i didnt play the game and i really wanted more info on the cute redheaded catboy so really, i did it all to myself and tbh i dont regret it one bit. Everything still makes me cry like it did one year ago when i was dying over that elidibus scene at the end of SHB quickly followed by getting more info on said catboy. Boy was i in for a fucking ride.

I remember sobbing at one specific scene in Thav in Endwalker Early release.
I've had a hard road these past few years, and as stupid as this might sound, this game and despite everything.. Has given me a lot of hope?
It makes me cry. A lot. My gf and I call it "crying fantasy" but.. It also helps me cope with a lot of RL shit.
It sure can be uplifting. That "there's a light at the end of such a deep darkness." thing I needed to hear then and now.
      You're not alone.

Got out a multiple messy and (some more abusive then the previous) relationships, was single after a 6 year relationship that wasnt going anywhere, got covid from helping my cousin (who didn't believe he nor his child should get vaccinated, (even thought he's in contact with our grandmothr who's in her final stages of cancer, and wants to be around for 2023 to see her great grandchild say her name.) I got to the last 20 quests on Endwalker by this point. I was passively suicidal, not caring if the flu meds i was gulping every 4 hours over lapped from day ot day. I had lost my job in 2019, and had 2k left of my savings to just survive. I figured it'd be best for everyone if i didnt eat, then if i did go outside my room, then, it just decided one day that i'd finsh up my flu bottle, drink a days worth of medicine in one sitting and let my organs fail and be done with it all.
the peopel i loved wher eonly using me,and the being that didnt used me weren't able to talk to be beause of being infectious, luckily I never went through with it. it might feel like an answer when you hit you lowlest low, but it is a poor answer to give, because it's permenate.

My dad had cancer during my play through of EW and it was a…..tough time getting through some of it but the part that made me actually ugly cry was when the soldier told Julius “it’s the little things that make life worth living”. I think it was at that moment I realized he was going to pass and I had to enjoy the little time I had left. That scene and the feelings I had stuck with me to this day. @@SilverxWingx The combined "For those we have lost. For those we can yet save." starts as something Minfilia says, I think post Moenbryda, then is the title of a pair of quests in Heavensward, becomes closely tied to Haurchefant and Alphinaud starts saying it, and then eventually we get one or more opportunities to repeat it to others. It kind of just becomes the unacknowledged motto of the Scions.
