We have the 2014 version of this in a limited edition - Swift Classic Danette. We've had it from new and we still love it! We're a family of 5 and it's perfect for a family. The children get some space to at the back and the front will seat us all comfortably. For such a big caravan, it is not too heavy and I think the design and colours have stood the test of time.
Hi mark and crew. When looking for our first van and watching your channel with outstanding reviews we managed to get a swift exclusive 6td 2017 and wanted the extras that comes with a dealer special. Having two toddlers it was the best IMO that suited us. Found one with one owner, full service, CRIS reg, motor mover, excellent condition thought out water barrels and waste, new battery for less than 15k. Best thing I’ve bought for years. Love the channel and keep up the good work.
We have a 2021 Swift Kudos 530 SB ( Preston Caravans dealer special ). This van was imported to New Zealand new and we are the first owners. Its a brilliant caravan and we have had no issues at all with it. So far we have been all over the North Island of NZ and are soon heading to the South Island.
We have the 2019 Swift sprite major 4sb. Can't fault it . The sprite range are classed as level entry vans, but I think they're more than that. What with Swift command system with DAB built in, duvalay mattress, 3 burner hob with oven and grill. They don't seem a level entry van . They don't come with external bbq point or 230 socket but these can be added. I can't fault ours. I know some owners have had trouble with their vans, but we've been lucky so far.
Just bought a brand new sprite major td6 2023 model but new old stock. Absolutely love it , so spacious and a beautiful van all together. Upgraded from a 2004 bailey pageant Moselle 4 birth. Some difference 🤣🤣
About to pick up our 2023 major td6. We say goodbye to our 2001 Elddis Avante 505 which served us well these last 7 years. Looking forward to the substantial upgrade.
hi mark we have a super major 4sb,8 feet wide' bought in 2022 we love it i have added extra sockets solar panel and sat dish. only gripe i had was the finish off inside around the front sockets the plastic beselle screws were countersink which looked rubbish so went round and checked them all.i didn't bother taking van all the way back down to essex. sorted it myself.😃Cheers.
We had to choose between an Sprite Major 6TD Vs the Basecamp 6. It was a tough decision, but ultimately came down to the exterior styling - the Basecamp being funkier.
Bought 2 new Sprites, Alpine 2 in 2007 and 4SB in 2019 with both being brilliant with little trouble ie niggle with Alko bad brakes that now made in China that had all makers replacing them under warranty. Best value for money there is, you can pay many £1000’s more for really very little.
We've got a 2018 sprite alpine 2, no wood at all, none in the floor even. It's a cracking little van, all year round use, a little awning as well to give us a bit more space.
Hi Mark, great vid thanks. We’re looking to upgrade and we love the Sprite range. But Bailey Unicorn Vigo has caught our eye as well, 2018 onwards. What are your views on Sprite Vs Vigo?
Lovely looking van, we've got a 2005 Sterling Vitesse 540 and the weights are pretty much the same and still within the legal towing capacity of some modest family cars
We bought our first caravan - a 2021 sprite major 4eb (cruach dealer special) for £21k including motor mover in apr-21. Can't fault it. Same caravan now is £27k +. We think it's a great entry level for a brand new caravan.
Had a 2014 Sterling Eccles 586 sport so essentially the same van. Loved the design inside and out, it looked great but had so many problems with it, cabinets falling to bits, internal walls coming away, axle collapsed. It ended up traded in back in April for a new Coachman after just over 2 years. One thing to note with this layout and the blow air heating, the washroom and rear end always struggle to get warm. I insulated the pipe that runs under the van and added a butterfly valve to some of the front outlets to force more hot air to the rear but only marginally better, ended up using a small oil filled rad down the bunk end for the kids over night.
Hi bud, what are your thoughts on price increases for next year and 2024 models, any word/rumours on the grapevine? We are on the edge of buying now but may just hold off. I also presume the Swift command system can’t be ordered to add at factory stage?
@thecaravanplace I placed the order in 2021 before the release i think they are marmite, would have been more annoyed if i had bought the challenger. But your right I did plenty of research and for a 1st van you can't go far wrong with a sprite.
Thanks Roy, the prices are changing every few months so it's not relevant to put the price sorry. It could make it look very expensive in a few years time if that makes sense. Again most of them had a top layer of wood in the floor, but this changed as they get newer.
Caravans like cars have just got bigger and heavier over the years - I mean the outgoing Fiesta would dwarf the original Mk 1 - the current Sprite is worlds away from Sam Alpers original vision
My first Sprite had two gas rings, a gas light, a sink but no water and a grill. It was a 1967 Alpine. I seem to remember 12 foot and 12 cwt. No insulation or double glazing. Made by CI. It was no warmer than a tent.

Hi Mark, nice to see your company got a silver award in the practical caravan owner satisfaction survey well done .
Hi Gordon, it wasn't us unfortunately, we never entered as we are a bit too small, but we may try our luck next this year 😉

Yeah a great van to own, ours is a 2016 and it's got everything you need in a great layout for our family of 4.
Have a 2022 Sprite Major 4 SB. We love the fixed bed.
Love my 2022 model Excellent first venture in to touring 👍
I have a sprite alpine 4 2015 I love it. for an older person on their own its so easy to set up and very comfortable. easy to tow cant fault it.
Thanks for your comments Lesley
I'm a total novice
A caravan brand tier list would help out massively

I do love a base camp

We currently own a 2018 special addition model 6td, so much storage, cracking caravan
Looks like a really great family van. 👍🏻

Cracking little van 👍

The Vigo is a higher spec with more luxury, but very much down to what you want and like really 👍
I worked on Sprite some 40 years ago changed a bit
I bought my 2022 swift sprite major SB September last year can't fault it a really nice caravan for the money.
Thanks Marc 👍
Lovely looking van, we've got a 2005 Sterling Vitesse 540 and the weights are pretty much the same and still within the legal towing capacity of some modest family cars
Thanks Ste v

I really think they are great 👍
Not too obvious as to who the original dealer was
That’s the caravan me and my wife would like
They are very nice 👍

Apparently around 3% on average so not massive jump. Not sure on the Swift command sorry.👍
@@thecaravanplace ok thanks mate, keep up the great work on the videos, all fantastic :)
Picked up my 2022 4eb last easter for 22.5k added atc movers and external power. Lovely caravan just a shame no swift command.
Less to go wrong, have to look on the bright side lol. Lovely van

Iff so good value then how much is it.this chanal seems to gave problems telling how much it is.
And has it got wooden floors that rot still ?

How much is it?
I think we have some under £20k and some over www.thecaravanplace.com

Very true 👍

We've all gained a few lbs Darren 🤣
There is no wood at all in these Sprite vans. All composites.
