I'm happy that 86 is finally coming to the channel! I don't know if you noticed that Shin's VA is the same as Kiyotaka's from COTE, also Lena is the same VA as Ubel. Oh and the band that sings the Op is the same of the OP2 of MT season 2.

Both Sawano & Kohta Yamamoto are responsible for the 86 OST. Yamamoto being responsible for a lot of the attack on titan S4 OST they also worked together on the seven deadly sins ost
I don't know if I understand, but I also dropped 86 twice to watch it. I dropped the first season and 2, but in the end I ended up finishing them months later. I gave it a second chance, it's a good anime. There are still 10 episodes left for me to finish season 2 of re:zero. As I'm watching with my sister it takes longer.
86 is pretty good. I give it an 8/10. Apparently season 1 covers just volume 1, so its one of the best adaptations of light novels (for reference, the first cour of MT covers vols 1, 2, and 3)

Okay I wasn't aware of the Ubel VA at first.... Kiyotaka I could notice, but man does her VA have some depth!

This new unit is called Spearhead. 86 is what they call those people/soldiers. Kinda like how Code Geass calls a certain people Elevens
The opening changes throughout the series, so if you ever continue viewing the opening, hope you look out for it.
