Suicide Stair fix!!

- When we built the Wayne's World garage nine years ago, I pushed the builder to install "pull down" stairs that went up to the attic space. The shop itself has a ceiling that is 12'6" high, give or take, so going up or down these pull down stairs ended up being more scary than driving around downtown Baghdad on a Thursday night....
So, while checking the Interweb, I stumbled across these electric stairs that slid up into the attic and disappeared from view, but at the click of a switch they appeared and you were good to go, with stairs that have steel handrails and are not as steep as a ladder!
So... the next Monday I called "Majic Stairs" in Ocala Florida and spoke to the owner/founder Ron. The next day i sent him some dimensions, and Friday night my stairs arrived!
So this is the story of how these things work. For sure, they are stable!

Wayne, That’s a real good setup. Dave
Thanks Dave! I can finally use some of that space. Although it's going to be an over up there! Maybe I should kiln dry some wood in it!
Outstanding video!!
Thank you. It makes that space useful!
hi there nice set off stairs . john
Yes, it works!
Are you considering getting a lift from the same company so that you do not have to carry heavy items up and down the stairs?
The idea entered my mind, not sure I will.
What a clever system Wayne. I know you are self critical and feel you could have installed it slightly better but, Good Job! 👍 Stan (UK)
Thanks John!
I've also got ~12ft ceilings which makes carrying stuff to the attic with a ladder a little precarious. What kind of rise and run do you have? This looks like exactly what I need.
I'll measure it and get back to you. But, the stairs are built around your specs. So they look at the height and how long of a run you have. This worked out great. Thanks for watching.
Wayne
You going to carry those huge Powerwagon tires up there now?
I was going to get Army strong to help!
