One of my favorite "Dallas" scenes. Jrs "And you my dear, can walk the streets before I'll give you a dime, " line is one of my favorite lines he had. Poor Sue Ellen.
Two of the most underrated actors in the business. Watch Linda Gray's subtly nuanced expressions when she looks at little John Ross. Her face shows the entire turmoil of emotions her character is going through, from sheer panic to a melancholy foreboding of loss. Yet nothing is overacted. Hagman delivers one of his most powerful JR moments of the series, every word punctuated with perfection, his face alternating menacingly between a whole gamut of sneers, snarls, grins and glares. Wow!
It always impressed me how Harv Smithfield was a general practitioner attorney for such a wealthy family; as he seemed very knowledgeable with family law, business law, and even in civil matters, too. Years later when the Justice Department went after Ewing Oil, and the value of the company was calculated at around 2 billion dollars [US], you'd think a company of that size and value would have a legal department of more than just one lawyer.
You got my 'thumbs up.' Harv had a way about him that reminded me of what a general practitioner medical "doc" was like back in the 1930s into the 1950s in America. With my temperment I would be on the same page as JR ..The test results would determine rather she stays or goes. and it would probabably be better not to get attached to the baby until U know. Save yourself from the double whammy heartache. Although legally he is the father if married upon delivery.

That’s the kind of comfort and reassuring Miss Ellie had in mind, J.R.

My goodness 😳 the quickest divorce in the state of texas! Man that's big
Who else loved Harv Smithfield.
He was great !
The scene where he reads Bobby’s will in the dream season is a wonderful piece of acting. It’s only him speaking for the entire long scene
You got my 'thumbs up.'

“The quickest divorce in the history of the state of Texas.”
The child is just chilling up there by himself, looking at a toy. Never, ever would happen.
I've always marveled how well-dressed the Ewing family was when it came to breakfast; as the wardrobe seem to mirror what they wore for dinner.
harv smithfield was also eddie haskells father
And Ralph Kramden's friend.
Love n Hate.... ALL the things Sue-Ellen hated about Jr was ALL the things that attracted her to him......She was devastated when he died.
1:38 strong, independent woman
Told her off...
Sue Ellen so beautiful.

Notice Sue Ellen did not say "It is not possible!"
😂😂😂
Harv couldn't have done that at the office?
Harv lived in Braddock too. It was on his way to town.
I saved this.
