I liked this full length video better. Pro tip: the closer you are to your compressor, the more consistent your pressure will be. On a high demand, constant pressure bleed tool like this, you want the shortest hose possible. I'd also look into getting a water blaster if you are going to do large jobs like that entire trailer. They work a lot better, stay cool and don't require media that you have to buy, use once and then have a huge mess to clean up.
That one can work as either a gravity feed or a siphon feed. You can see the black siphon hose coming out of the bottom of the gun that is going into the bucket willed with the abrasive media. The red hose coming out of the bottom of the handle is the air supply.
Huge tip is add a oil/water separator from compressor to air hose. Fitting size makes zero difference at 120psi. Also if you have a big enough air compressor you can get a gun with a bigger tip to run larger abrasive materials through.
Baking soda: fine blasting finish Walnut: fine blasting Coal slag: cheapest, not very reusable Aluminum oxide: reusable and very abrasive Glass beads: puts a texture on blasted part, reusable It just depends on what you're doing.
You should use glass beads instead of that black beauty, glass beads works like a dream, Ive used one of these guns with glass and it works great and at my work we have a 8 thousand dollar blaster and it hates that black stuff, it just doesn't flow well.
dude nice video but i noticed something not sure you paid any attention to it,,,true that diffrent grains will fair better than the next but i noticed one thing you were doing which may have compromised the effectivness of what you were trying to accomplish with the tire rim,,,,did you realize you were holding or pointing the sandblaster gun in a awkward position you had it pointing down wouldnt it of been better to have the tire in a up right position because you were pointing the gun downward where the sand which has to flow from the resivoir into where the air shoots from the channell in other words you pointing it down didnt give oppitunity for the sand to flow smoothly,,,,perhaps you found pointing the gun downward to work better but im jus going off what you made it look like to me it was obvious,,,jus trying to present constructive thats all,,, nice video again

You shouldnt be allowed to use tools.
Yáll think that thing will work on my old ladies old rusty pipes too?
Lmmfao. He skipped physics
Well this video is 11 months old now you should be about 1/2 way through that trailer by now.
😂
😂😂😂
LOOOOOL omd
😂😂😂
He's on his 5th sand blaster. He will need 5 more to finish it.
Probably a good idea to hold the gun horizontally so the media can actually flow properly
that's what i was going to suggest ..
Need to be up right gravity fed
I have a home made sand blaster made with a pop bottle and harbor freight blow gun, I use mason sand and mine works fine.

Thanks, I have seen the water blasters. They look really cool.
What water blaster would you suggest? Like do you mean the ductless blasting franchise or a hobbyist model?
You should always an approved respirator when sandblasting.
Yea!
Next time maybe read the instructions since you don't understand how gravity works, or how to use basic sandblasting tool.
😂😂
Calm down u toxic fucker
😂😂😂
So rude
@@CH-px1fw you mean factual?
Totally agree big air compressor and small beads.
That's a gravity fed system you need to have that gun upright at all times
That one can work as either a gravity feed or a siphon feed. You can see the black siphon hose coming out of the bottom of the gun that is going into the bucket willed with the abrasive media. The red hose coming out of the bottom of the handle is the air supply.
@@toshley6192yes
Saw where another youtuber drilled out the hole a little bigger where the media flows thru. Worked a lot better.
It's gravity fed. Stand the wheel up & try it. You'll likely get a more even flow
What is the blue deposit on top. The hose is not the retorn line
Try agitating the pipe up and down that’s down in the media while sandblasting
Huge tip is add a oil/water separator from compressor to air hose. Fitting size makes zero difference at 120psi. Also if you have a big enough air compressor you can get a gun with a bigger tip to run larger abrasive materials through.
Fun fact. This guy's older brother has the Forgotten Weapons channel on UA-cam.
Hahaha out of 100,000's of comments someone finally sees it🤣
For real?
Awesome!
I can sandblast my oem car paint?
Possible, yes. Ideal, no. Depends on what you want to do... Lakeside Auto Body is a good channel for vehicle paint and body work.
When shaggy does DIY on the mystery machine.
Haha yea that's what I do in my free time.
Safety last🤣🤣❤ good video bro
Thanks 😅
Can you use play sand I think i'm gonna try it
NO! Play sand is dangerous. You're not supposed to breathe silica.
Which media do you recommend from harbor freight?
Baking soda: fine blasting finish
Walnut: fine blasting
Coal slag: cheapest, not very reusable
Aluminum oxide: reusable and very abrasive
Glass beads: puts a texture on blasted part, reusable
It just depends on what you're doing.

Glad you liked it!

How much
trailer update?
Just found your channel and Subscribed. Very interesting. Nice video
Awesome, thank you!
Has anyone told this guy he's hilarious yet? Lateeerrrr!
Is that rim too expensive? Why not you just buy new one?
He's restoring the original, that's why.
thats good video. Thank you for it
You're welcome!
Safety last! 😄
Exactly!
Now this man understands how UA-cam works! Excellent job
Haha thanks!
Maybe, just maybe, put that blast media inside the plastic hopper
Dam that rim had some lead on it

Wait so I learned nothing what do I need to sand blast my deck with
Tire should be off the rim DUDE. THEN RIM STANDING UP THEN BLAST IT
Having the gun horizontal should help
Oh wow
Woah!!
Long hose short undersranding of gravity.
Quality video
Very nice and concise
You should hold it horizontal; on the level.
Siphon tube
Dude really use the hopper attached to gun. You defeated the purpose by attaching a bucket to it.
I liked the siphon.
😂😂😂😂 just here for the comments
Me too!
I guess yhe top hopper is just for decoration 😂😂😂
This is going to be a terrible night...
SP:6 commercial blast
Small circles
Soda it's the best thing to sanding, but younhave wrong gun, everything depends form nozzle.
Silicosis any one?
Seriously, that stuff will destroy your lungs. Not breathing is a horrible way to die.
It's silica free. That's play sand that does that
Ooops and I see now that you did wear a mask. 👍🏼
This guys kinda funny
use the hopper instead ffs
Why not just use sand it is a sand blaster lol
Silica gets in your lungs. It's bad for you.
toss that P.O.S. in the trash and get a pressure pot. You'll be thankful you did.
Lol pressure pots are for a totally different use. This is for small DIY jobs.

Well done dude you'll be done with that rim was in a week congratulations
Thanks!
...or just use sand...duhhh!
would not waste my money on it.
uh, yer holdin yer gun wrong
Looks way too time consuming. After all that money you’re just better off buying new wheels
You’ll be there for the next 10 years trying to finish that trailer with that junk. That blaster is trash.
Spay rust remover and wipe off,lol
Its called a sand blaster for a reason, go get some sand from the beach ya crank .

useless tools. I prefer tranditional sander
I'm interested to see how you'll sand in that crease by any other means than media blasting.
No. Just no.
good demo man!
