- Stop letting them get away with throwing fancy kicks --
stop backing up so you can kick their legs out from under them.
Hit the kick before his kicking leg lands for more damage. Before or after full kick extension too.

Great video :) i'm really interrested in learning how to defend against kicks (High kick, Back kick and side kick) but from southpaw stance .
+Lebanese Guy Thanks! I just released a video on some ideas from southpaw for you.
As much I like this it’s not gonna work on someone who I decent. Spin will come too fast to fully step out the way and ppl don’t tend to throw a back kick on its own unless they have it down. The side kick counter is good but once you’ve done it a couple times it’s an easy faint to set you up for a spin kick you walk right into.
So you basically just use a leg catch or a hand parry and pivot.

Do you have any tips on how to defend against the lead side kick to the front knee? I've seen Jon Jones in the UFC use that attack, and I have yet to think of a way to punish it. Any tips would help - thanks!
