There should be 2 different color bars under your toolbelt that show your hunger and thirst they are kinda hard to see(at least for me)and i wish tfp would use the ones df uses

1st Dont waste points on Lucky Looter, it gives you 5 points, you start at 1, You loot stage chages around 50-60, I put one in my Main Weapon to get more books of its type, 1 Put 1 in Lockpicking (It also increases chance for Forge ahead books), 1 in Parkour, and when solo 1 in Iron Gut so I can eat less desirable stuff with less dysentery chance, if in a group, We each pick a skill for Cooking, Farming, and Crafter. ... 2nd the base game Does have Water and Food Bars, its the Blue (water) & Green (Food) Bars dead under your Tool bar, and the purple on over tool bar is your XP. ... on a new Play I generally Pick a House Quest Close , to make it temportary base for Day or 2, till find a better location ... PS when your friend said he was Thirsty you ran right by a Lake, drink out of it. if you have to better than no stamina
