Troian Bellisario reveals a major truth bomb about the original, and much darker ending of Pretty Little Liars, and she has a message for all the fans who weren’t too pleased with the ending.
So just FYI, if you haven’t yet tuned in, which I don’t know what’s taking you this long, MAJOR. Spoilers. Ahead!
As if the shocking final moments of Pretty Little Liars’ final episode weren’t already a lot to take in, as Alex nearly murdered Spencer, Toby identified the REAL Spencer, and Mona now holding Alex and Mary hostage as living dolls, Troian Bellisario has just revealed an even darker original ending (as if it wasn’t already dark enough).
She opened up to Entertainment Tonight saying QUOTE, “Originally the ending was supposed to be a little bit different where Alex had kind of gotten away with it a little bit more, and the only person that was onto her was Toby. But I think that ultimately would've left things too much up in the air and we would've been worried for Spencer. So it was really fun because this way, Spencer got a happy ending, and all the girls got a happy ending, and Alex got to be with her family - which is great, but also in a little bit of a tricky situation.”
Another kicker is that the show’s creator Marlene King, originally questioned a different character to be A.D., but changed her mind at the last minute, saying, “Originally my mind was going to Wren as A.D., but we had to be realistic and there have been times when we really needed a character who wasn’t a series regular and we couldn’t get them on the show.”
But everything seemed to play out quite perfectly in the end, and Troian agreed, saying that she hoped what many PLL fans already knew in that Spencer and Toby were going to end up being the most ‘badass domestic partners’ and that she felt like it would be a much more quiet elopement, similar to how Hanna and Caleb did, or even just end up non-traditionally dating for the rest of their lives. She said QUOTE, “They would have children together, and they would live together, but they would also be like, ‘We are independent people.’ If he needs to go backpack through the Himalayas for year, he could totally do that. And if she needs to go live on her own in Paris for a year, she could totally do that. But I think that they would always end up coming back to each other.”
But ultimately, Troian knew that not everyone would be 100% pleased with the finale, and that it would be impossible to try and make the entire PLL fanbase happy. She apologized for not giving fans exactly what they wanted, but did have this to say: QUOTE, “The thing I want to say to those people is: I think the show was supposed to end in year six with Charlotte revealed as ‘A.’ When we decided to continue working on it and decided to create a new character, it’s a genesis story. It’s going to be a genesis story because somebody had to pick up the lead from Charlotte. I don’t know what to say other than I’m sorry. I’m literally trying not to go on social media because I know that people are going to be brutal.”
Another thing she wanted to point out to fans is to take a step back and look at all the things they DID get. She said, “I know that the show means a lot to people and they’re going to be passionate either way. I would also say to look at all of the other things that you got. You got your Ezra wedding. You got Haleb. You got Emison. You got Spoby, even. The writers broke their backs to make sure that they gave so much to the fans. Even the last good-bye scene and all these little nods were in the finale, because I know Marlene poured her blood, sweat, and tears into making sure she gave the fans a really beautiful love letter.”
All in all, Troian wants fans to take away the beauty of the show as a whole instead of focusing on that tiny little detail, when fans could focus on seven years of with these characters you were able to grow with, root for and eventually say goodbye to in a beautiful way? Well I can’t argue with that! But I want to turn this over to you guys - were you pleased with how the show ended, or would you have preferred the original ending? Share all your thoughts in the comments, and after that, be sure to subscribe for all the latest updates. Thanks so much for hanging out with me here on Clevver News, I’m your host Renee Ariel, and I’ll see you next time.

I just want to know how the moms got out the basement
Tia Patrick henry is that u?
Tia Patrick What happens in the basement stays in the basement
Tia Patrick Leo orbed them out.
EnterTheAttic AHHAHHA
did you notice when Holly marie comb's character was with Ezra's mom she moved her hands like she was piper and looked like she wanted to blow her up?
Troian should not be the one apologizing....
Pokemontas I agree, she did an amazing job as the actor she is. She did not write the storyline. Troian should absolutely not be the one apologizing..
Pokemontas Marlene should be apologizing. She's the one that fucked up the show. Sara should've written the show because after all, she did write the books
if sarah wrote the show you would've gotten stuff like: toby would've died very early on and been the rapist not jenna. not to mention the books are shit compared to the show (or at lease the first 4 seasons of it)
TVOCD Toby was a bad guy in the books ?!?!?!
don't you mean that the books are good and the show is bad the show should have never have been produced or at least cancelled early in the series rather then have it drag on the ruin the memory of the brilliant writing of the books Sarah should be angry with Marlene for destroying her series as a fan of the original books I am angry with the way the show turned out because it started to be close to the original books with the friend going missing and everyone finding her body years later and getting threats to tell there secrets and everything that made the books great and a good book worth reading with all the suspense and drama the show the plot was messy the characters are nothing like how they were supposed to be in the original. Another thing is that in the books you actual feel sympathy in the characters drama and it makes you feel like it was in real life not just a fictional book with the show you don't feel anything for the characters and you can't feel a connection with them just my opinion but I feel like with the show they focused to much with the fictional couples then the actual mystery and drama with the girls struggles with a but in the books the couples were tied in with the drama and did not overpower the mystery and drama and the show they missed some of the crucial family drama and the show made the parents seem like good parents like Emily's parents being good and accepting where as in the books they were not and sent her away for being confused about her sexuality and the other girls were coming from broken homes as well. also for Ali I feel like the mystery for how she became friends with the girls were taken out that was the point for the whole books that Courtney under the amused identity of Ali befriend the girls as a means not to go to the mental hospital and appear to be using them for her own benefit but really deep down loved them and the rivalry with Ali and Courtney was the whole point of the books manipulation and control for own gain and trough unfortunate events revenge to death. See with the show the revenge to point out was only to play games but to never actually kill them and say they were her dolls but in the books dolls were never a thing or masks bit real Ali had some pretty elaborate ways to kill them and get revenge such as burning them alive and poisoning them where as Charlotte had no real motive to be angry with the girls where as Ali was and was truly scary overall the show was very poor in quality it could have been good if they stuck closer to the original and did not drag it out so much and I am sad for Sara the author because she has to face that this is what became of her beloved books once show allowed the horrible show counterpart to be produce. Also I dislike the way relevant characters who had big roles it the books were non existent in the show and vice versa like noel he had a big role in the books and was a good guy and in the show they decide to make him a villain because the thought Ezra was more interesting but I thought it was a disgrace to switch the roles of Ezra and noel let me know what you think
"but we had to be realistic" - And an evil twin is realistic? Wtf.
Der Kieselstein in deinem Schuh if they mean stick with the book's concept, then yes it was. It was always about Alison's twin, but they made a twist and gave Spencer the concept of the bad twin.
That's exactly what I thought... such a disappointing finally
I think they meant they had to be realistic in terms of which actors they could get for the finale. Most likely the actor who played Wren just wasn't available.
Farfallama but yet he was available to still film scenes of the final episode lol
It´s literally the biggest cliché ever.
AD should´ve been a character we know from s1
Exactly.
I have a theory it could've been Maya if she faked her death because she wanted to be with ali ( they had previously met) and ali said she had to fake her death to be with her, then ali came back and left maya and when maya started to see a relationship between emily and ali she wanted payback
_ Eve _ exactly, I was really disappointed that it was someone we did not know
Alessandra Kaderavek This would have also made Maya actually relevant to the story, why Emily often bore the brunt of A’s worst (along with Hanna) bc of Allison’s feelings towards her, Garrett’s murder could have been linked to her since she was scene getting in the car with him the night she “died”, and gave the whole maya knew website storyline so much more relevance.
@@emma-ln2ed Sara Shepard said Maya was considered as a red coat in the books
So this basically proves that Marlene didn't even have a game plan for who AD was and just winged it. Great.
my thoughts exactly! poor directing and writing
But said she knew about Alex for three years
Madison Miller that's what I thought too but I don't wanna blame her for something because she did give us a great show all these years even if our twisted minds always expected something more. But Troian did say that the story after the reveal of A was simply to give that something more to the fans and not because the writers really felt like they still had something to give
Madison Miller it also proves that all of us who believed Wren was AD were right lol 😂😜
ALEX WAS A.D!!
Melissa being A.D. w/ Wren as her accomplice would've been wayyyyy better
MalySports: Right?! Instead of that Scooby Doo-style "Melissa mask". Like, what the actual hell was that?! Lol
MalySports but they don't have a motive
Basic xoxo Lmao and Alex does?
LMAO did you even watch the last episode? She clearly explained her motive
MalySports not really. We already went through Melissa and Wren and all of that bullshit. Spencer having a twin was way more exciting than that would've been
anyone feels like the end was like " we are running out of ideas, lets just make shit up along the way. oh lets add a twin, that we never saw in the show." basically. We are never going to find out that night or the other missing plot.
_Dygarcia _ it would’ve been acceptable if they had loose ends to tie with alex. Like things Spencer’s did throughout the seasons but the idea of alex didn’t even exist yet which is dumb bc the whole point of the show was A
so true
Well Alex isn’t apart of it the whole time. It was Mona then CeCe took over and it was mostly her the entire time with help from Alex towards the end. She didn’t even know about the girls til a lot later in the plot line.
_Dygarcia _ but the thing is it would make sense we already know spencer mum was a twin so it would make sense if Spencer’s mum had twin baby as it already runs in the family and it was way more unexpected
@Pharell Rayshawn
Well...just because Spencer’s mom had a twin, that doesn’t mean that she would have twins too, that’s not how it works.
They tried to outsmart us by making A.D. someone we had never seen
I have so Many Questions!?
1) Who Killed Garret
2) Why was Melissa helping A.D??
3) Why was Casey's name on a grave?
4)Who did Mona think A.D was at the beginning of the episode?
5)How did Spencer, Aria, and Hanna's mom's escape the basement?
6)How did Mona get Mary and Alex out of prison and to Paris?
7)Where was Mike during the Wedding/ Why wasn't he in the rest of the season!?
8)What happened to Wesley/ Where was he for the wedding?(Ezra' s brother)
9)What did Maya know for her to get killed?
10)Why did Charlotte kidnap Sara??
11)Why did Eddie Lamb recognize Aria?
12) What happened to Lucas?
SO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS!!!!🤦♀️🤦♀️
Caleb's Name on the grave!!
Yes to all these and many more.
I can only answer the Maya-question, but she was killed by that weird "cousin" of hers .. And so it didn`t have to do anything with the whole A-plot at all..He just killed her out of jealousy
IssaMint. Miah 5 gets me so hard lmao
Well, for 3) there‘s actually another Serie called Ravenswood, where they show Caleb‘s time in Ravenswood and what happened to him and Miranda (it‘s actually a completely different story and kind of Serie, but what we want to know is explained). The problem is that almost nobody knows this haha
Didn't Spencer date a guy named Alex
xxkittycatgirlxx Omg, yeah! I forgot about that guy! And I think he was played by Diego Boneta. Smh, he should have been A.D.
xxkittycatgirlxx yes
xxkittycatgirlxx yes
xxkittycatgirlxx when i heard AD was someone named Alex i thought it was him xd and i was like wtf
xxkittycatgirlxx that's what I thought too lol
Wether you loved the finale or you hated it, you can't deny that Troian was amazing. She played both roles so well. Even though she was the villain, Troian made me fall in love with Alex. We love you TBells💗
Yes! Exactly! That's what I've been thinking while seeing all the negative reactions... Thank you for the amazing comment :)
well i didnt like the accent but other than that it was good
But I just can't take A.D seriously with that annoying accent. A.D just seems like a joke to me now. They should've kept Spencer's voice or just chose a better accent.
Jonas 6032 Same. I didn't get the point of making her English either. Why couldn't she have just been born in some other part of the US?
+Kylie Flowers Because she had to meet Wren ( English, lives in London ), then Charlotte ...
a twin being the villain is a cop out, and bad writing period. any writing class you take the teacher/professor will tell you don't end with it being a dream or a twin its just bad.
And PLL did both, lol!
Still, I enjoyed it.
@@JLvatron not a dream but ye
I mean, in the books Alison was the bad evil twin and Courtney was the good twin until she died which I like so whatever floats ur boat fam.
@A Queenoftheunderworld
But you can’t compare book pll to the show. In the book Courtney and Ally where complex twins, the tv show had like what? 3 twins which were all presented in such a horrible shallow form.
Clearly! Adjunct prof NYU. Student undergrad double major there as well. That was piss poor unoriginal “creative writing. I wouldn't even cop to that when I was just writing not writing, editing, branding, PR, consulting, model, etc. And if I hearb”Anyways…” 1 more hd time I will implode. It’s “anyway.” No more, no less. It’s the same singular+pluralsingular+plutal which is why teaching something as boring as ESL is beyond friustrating .
I would have liked it if AD turned out to be someone who had something to do with Radley, the night Alison disappeared or the whole Bethany Young thing
EDIT: Thank you for the many likes
Karina Hernández EDDIE LAMB!!
Yeah, I mean, what has happened to him? He should probably get his own series with all the mysteries being solved haha
Karina Hernández Well, Alex was born in Radley to an inpatient.
Karina Hernández for the ending I was thinking AD was Lesli or Mike
Imo A.D. should’ve been Aria. I always had the theory that she never was in Iceland with her family but she was a patient in Radley (since Eddie Lamb recognized her). She has a similar handwriting to A and Mona calls her “Big A” it would make sense if Mona was helping her. But idk that was just my theory
So they couldn't pick Wren because he was not so much in the show but introduce a bad twin we've never knew of in the last episode? 🤔
Naima Elmo Right 😓
Naima Elmo HAHAHA, ikr!
No they couldn´t pick Wren because Julian Morris wasn´t available...well this leaves a bad taste in my mouth to only have a Plan B ending after all these years.
no it's that they couldn't get the actor who played Wren on the show for more than a day because he had commited to an other project
ikkk they only dropped the twin a couple of eps ago....
The ending was way too rushed. The whole 2 hour episode was just drawn out and all the "action" was in like the last 5 minutes. They couldn't even do something original??? Toby having to choose between Spencer and her evil twin. That's been in too many other shows. Marlene should have gone with Wren as AD
Mylissa Elaine that was even on Hanna Montana when oliver and lily had to choose which was Miley or her cousin
Does anyone remember when Caleb came back from ravens wood and wouldn't tell Hannah anything about what happened there, and that grave with his name on it never got explained. I'm still curious as to why they put that in the show if it wasn't a part of the story line
Jazmin Fredericksen there is another show called ravenswood about that. Never watched it, but I heard it sucks.
Yeah they were probably thinking of doing a crossover episode between the shows but decided not to. That would've been way too weird.
Ravenswood was good in my opinion. It had a really interesting story. There was actually an episode where Hanna crosses over from PLL and visits Caleb.
but the show got cancelled after season one so they never got the opportunity to tell what they wanted to with this second story, they rushed it like the original show, you get a little tiny piece of information in the PLL episode where he comes back, it makes a little bit more sense after having watched ravenswood but you're also left with too many more questions like you don't have enough already...so you can just decide what questions you wanne have because you will have them nevertheless
Jazmin Fredericksen lol yes wtf!?
I really dont like how it starts all over again at the end with Addison and her friends. Like literally the same dialogue and the girl with the blonde hair and glasses was such a terrible actor.
Wasn't that how "Gossip Girl" ended...ish?
I know and I really hate Addison like she was a b*tch and they just had to give ali’s story line to her like that was clique
@@iancampbell6499 yeah but it was different. GG didn't have the exact same dialogues, scene. Plus it was about the fact that there would always be outsiders wanting to fit in and try to reach popular people. It had a more general, realistic value. At least that's how I understood it. PLL was just the exact same scene but with bad acting, with a bitchy girl with a similar name to Alison's mysteriously disappearing in a barn.
I think it was meant to show how the show came full circle, rather than starting it over again tbh.
Last time I was this early Cece Drake was still A
Ljmp Tgb last time I was this early the only horrible reveal was cece.
Ljmp Tgb Cece is still A, or was because she's dead, whatever. Alex is AD
Ljmp Tgb 400
LMFAO!!!
7mnee 3 The Cece reveal was wayyyy better then this crapy ass reveal
PLL Hack - just watch up to season 4 and pretend Ezra was A.
Perfect! 😂
Nah Cece's reveal was good actually
I watched till season 6 just for Mike. When I saw he wasn't in season 7, I gladly stopped watching it.
I think Marlene really messed up the whole finale and show. for 8/7 years the ending did not give us much answers that we've been wanting since season 1. I am glad that all the couple's are back together in all, but again with the questions, I was mostly confused throughout the whole ending and was a bit cringy.
AD should've either been Melissa or Aria, cause it honestly doesn't even makes sense how that guy in Radley recognized Aria so well and Melissa has always been a sketchy character and a part of every major event so it should've been her god dammit ughhhh
Sam Marie i think even wren would be good
I know! Having Alex be introduced in the last episode was crazy, and honestly I would rather have A.D. be someone we already knew. It would make a better ending.
Totally could not agree more! When Melissa appeared in the ending as A D I gasped and thought I knew it was her all along ! I could not have been more wrong the story ending was a bit far fetched and I love PLL 😍
Ezra should've been AD. It would have been the most logical ending.
Alright so... Eddie Lamb the guy from radley recognized Aria cause of all the times Aria had gone to visit Spence
1 hour and 30 minutes of the episode went to ships and 30 minutes went to actual answers. That's why I was so disappointed
miranda sings fan club every ship but spoby smh
miranda sings fan club and spoby deserved the best ending🙄
For me Ezra will always be AD. Would be a better end
yeah
Stephanie Oliveira ugh no. HELL NO
Helene melissa would be the Best A
Shut up it's alex
Stephanie Oliveira and could be done.ezra was in that dungeon.he could have been revealed as A.D. in that scene where Alex and Spencer were fighting and toby held the gun.i imagine someone (ezra) screaming "enough" and everyone turns and its him in the black hoodie.also, there is this moment where they took two different paths and ezra shouted "spencer, here" or sth. That could be A.D. leading spencer to the ''right'',(wrong) direction where they would be trapped.or anyone who was in there could silently leave the group as they were searching the house and then appear as A.D.
Does anyone else still not completely know what happened the night Ali disappeared
Nope, I have clue what happened that night. 🤷🏾♂️
I think I do, I will try to come back tomorrow if anyone is still interested and try to help.
Once the girls fell asleep, alison went off to harass all the people she was blackmailing and messing around with lol. And when she was finally on her way back to the barn, charlotte hit her over the head with a rock because she thought ali was bethany young (who had taken the extra set of clothes and was dressed like ali). Mrs. D saw this and thought cece had killed ali so she buried her. And mrs. Grunwald found ali buried and still alive and tried to take her to the hospital I think but Ali fled in fear because she still didn't know who was after her. Of course that's not every detail, but that's what I remember in regards to ali going missing.
Yes, then Carrie: After Ali fled Mrs. Grunwald, she was found by Mona. Mona took her to the Lost Woods Resort to rest. There Mona gave Ali the idea to let "A" which was Mona at the time, think that you are dead. So Mona helps give her a disguise and get away card and Ali runs away that morning!
So to put the whole story together other the night Ali disappeared, read Carrie's comment then mine.
Spencer having schizophrenia would have been MUCH better. The people who didn't want a Liar to betray her friends would easily have been placated, and the people who did want AD to be a Liar would have gotten a plausible reason behind it. It would have filled in a LOT of plot holes (even as a last-minute answer), and been a great twist, yet believable for a thousand and one reasons.
Ruth K that’s a good one. I’ve always thought if one of the 5 girls was behind all of it, it would’ve been so good. But, I’m kind of happy that didn’t happen, I mean, it would’ve been heartbreaking because the friendship those girls have is just beautiful and real, It would’ve crushed me if one of them was A or AD. Melissa was my choice but, it was a satisfying ending
I think it would be better a Spencer with Dual Personality
Yes!!! That would of been so good!!!
yes but then it trivialises mental illness when schizophrenia isnt like that for alot of people
I get what youre saying, but one situation doesnt apply to all. You could say the same for guns, Christianity, Islam, or anything else portrayed on television.
the minute we saw wren drawing redcoat, I was set on him being the main person being behind everything. making a character that had a lot of contribution to the first seasons A.D. would've been much smarter than making a character we only knew for less than an hour A.D.
Marlene said in one of her infamous interviews. That Cece and two other people were options for the A after Mona. I want to know who the other two people were because if it was Wren he would have been way better.
So picking Wren as A.D wasn't realistic but having an evil twin is? 🤔
YUP
Gabriela Rivera yes...
THE ACTOR WHO PLAYS WREN WAS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR LIKE ONE DAY OF FILMING SO HOW WOULD THAT WORK SIS? Plus i don't think we understand the intricacies of show writing and story telling to know how much they worked towards the finale. And love the finale or hate it, you cannot doubt that the rest of the show isn't completely amazing and probably one of the most entertaining shows of the 2010s. And people tend to forget that and be ungrateful.
Gabriela Rivera this :((
It wasn't realistic because he would have barely any connection to charlotte. So the fact that it ended up being a half sister of hers actually wasn't realistic either but it was one hell of a plot twist. Wren wouldn't have been much of a surprise. His babies were tho!
it took Jenna and a horse to figure A.D. out! How sad really.
Maisie IKRRRR ughhhhh
Having a.d be a new character no one would be able to guess is disrespectful considering all the years we've put into watching this
Gianni Mitchell Exactly! I felt my loyalty was disrespected. I felt so betrayed. This isn't the first time we've been disappointed, but we stuck with the show for it to be revealed some random twin is A. D. Thanks Marlene.
And... I still wonder why Eddie Lamb recognized Aria, where are my fucking answers?!?!!?!?!
Lisa F ikr! and i wanted to know what happened to eddie, he just disappeared so strangely!
Lisa F They should've made Eddie Lamb A.D. I'd be so fucking satisfied with the ending then because it would've been a complete shocker. Tbh the twin thing isn't a shocker because it's basically paralleling exactly what happened in the pll books with Ali's twin
Supergirl That's sooo true. I actually thought it was going to be similar to the book in the way that the complice alias a d would be Ezra because in the books there were kinda 3 as: 1. Mona 2. alisons twin sister aka cece 3. alisons twin sisters current boyfriend and alisons ex boyfriend whom I suspected to be Ezra
Yeahh, I have to many questions as well. I really, really thought this final episode would reveal A.D. as someone who's been there all along and not just the last two seasons. Really, really dissapointing. I always thought Aria and/or Ezra should've been A.D.
Matilda K well I guess one can say marlenes work wasn't as detailed as everyone thought it was gonna be ... #disappointing
ALISON SHOULD HAVE BEEN A DUH A AND A.D WTF SHE WAS SO DEVIOUS AND LOVED TO LIE AND PLAY GAMES BEFORE SHE DISAPPEARED AND THEN SHE WAS BORING WHEN SHE CAME BACK IF SHOULD BEEN ALI UHH
omg ikr i would rather it be one of the liars stabbing everyone else in the back that would be epic
Maddie Earls Alison is A in the books but I feel in the show her twin Courtney should've been A because it would be too sad for Alison to be A but Courtney makes so much sense
Supergirl spoiler
Alison and cece in it together! Only people who liked to play games and punish all the liars!! And cece drake not that Charles's bull!
Maddie Earls If Alison was A or AD, why would she go into loads of trouble to prove she is not? And why would she send A messages to herself. That doesn't make sense. 😂
I love the show... I don't love the 'evil twin' thing... for A to be someone we've never met until the last episode was a bit underwhelming... I've always thought the ultimate A pulling all the strings should have been Ally D. ... AD right ;-)... to me that would have pulled it all full circle and given it that twisted ending that I love ... anyways... it was a great show and a great ending and we will all have our ideas ... but kudos to the whole cast and creators... will always love the show :) Tuesday's won't be the same without it. xo
tbh i'm just mad about spoby
Juliet Zall why??
Juliet Zall what???
Because they never really stated that they were dating again. So everyone is either married, engaged, but SPOBY wasn't official at the end.
same spencer and toby should've at least been dating
When they were doing the big CeCe is A story there was so much that they tried to make sense out of that they were contradicting what had happened in other seasons... like Toby's Mom's death.... she died when he was a teenager!! Clearly stated in a flash back episode in a scene between Emily and Toby when Jenna first moved in with him in season 2 episode 13 "The First Secret" 4 minutes and 45 seconds into the episode... ... ... And the whole Bethany story line was just grasping at straws.... the books story line flows so much more coherently, just has the girls much younger starting out with a bigger time jump between Ali disappearing to her body being found....
I just wanted to know why they made so much mystery on Bethany's life and then didn't even bother to hire an actress to play her role as an adult. Melissa still buried someone totally dressed like Alison from head to toe and that still doesn't make sense.
Black Lily That someone was Bethany. Cece told Alison that Bethany stole Cece's clothes (which is the infamous yellow top) to hurt Jessica because Jessica was having an affair with Bethany's dad. Mona saw Bethany, thought it was Alison, and hit her in the head. Melissa saw the body and thought that it was Alison and that Spencer hit her. She buried Bethany, not knowing she was actually still alive. That's is. That's how Bethany's story ended. idk why people still ask for Bethany
I know it, it's just that I find that hard to believe! Bethany was wearing even Alison's bracelet (which Alison happened to be wearing at the same time, how's that even possible?). Even the heels, Bethany had them on just like Alison, and on Bethany's letter she mentions that somebody had sent her those items (she thought it was Alison), and anyways, how in the world would she know that Alison would be looking EXACTLY like that, that's what I wonder. It would have been much more interesting if Alison (or Cece) had given her those clothes because they wanted to have her killed. I personally still ask about Bethany because that explanation was just poor and I still don't understand why not showing Bethany's face as she was being buried... all that mystery for nothing!
Exactly! And the whole Bethany thing, did we ever find out why everyone thought it was Alison's body for like 5 years? How did she pass all those DNA tests and stuff? It makes no sense.
Angelin, yes! I think it was said that A 'did something about that', magical and omnipresent A bla bla bla, but it doesn't make sense really. My guess is that originally Alison would have a twin (like on the books, Courtney). Alison was suposed to have a crazy sister locked up at Radley. One killing the other would make much more sense, but no, they put Charlotte who was Alison's cousin (so not a twin) and then Alison's mother and Spencer had twins, WTF? And the poor Bethany, we didn't even see her face! So much potential reduced to being just a body buried in Alison's backyard, pff...
Black Lily It would have been good if AD was Wren and wren was Bethany's brother.
"tiny little detail" ?! I'm sorry, wasn't the whole point of the show who the real A was?
First A cece and then later came AD and that’s is Spencer’s twin, Alex
There were several people who were "A: at different times. Mona was the First A. She started it, Cece met her and "wanted to play the game". Then Alex Drake. In between and during, we had many nasty minions. I laughed myself sick over how Noel died. That was completely and utterly impossible, but just so campy. Someone was watching the final few films of Joan Crawford's career, they are fans of old movies at PLL.
Maria Larsson A.D = Allison Dilirentes?(idk how to spell it) A.D= Archer Dunhill? Those are what i thought
Ian Campbell wasn’t there a A team tho
I dont care what they or how many different ways they put it but that ending was trash
AMEN!
Exactly
As much as I love the show, I think it should have already ended after they found out Cece was A. Everything after that was just too complicated and too much.
I knew it was supposed to be Wren. That twin story just dropped out of nowhere.
SRM_20 not out of nowhere, there are still many fan theories about it
SRM_20 dude not really read the books lol
Veronica Paige Yes really, Courtney and Ali were always apart of the books and the readers knew about them. However, Alex wasn't added until the end.
Nah, it was supposed to be Melissa with Wren. Marlene admitted that she loved that idea, but didn't go with it because they were both preoccupied with their own shows.
There weren't any clues on the show that Spencer had a twin. It was just revealed in the finale to have the twin as AD. In case you haven't noticed so far, the show deviates from the storyline of the books lol.
The last quote is exactly the problem "the writers gave fans what they wanted".... the STORY should be what dictates the ending, not ships and creating fan service to make Tumblr happy. Marlene legit said "I made Twincer cause fans wanted the villain to be a Liar, and since that made me too sad I did this instead"... so she literally had no clue what was gunna happen and just did what we all wanted
BAD WRITING
Alexa Ofelia MARLENE COULD'VE FUCKING USED COURTNEY FROM THE BOOKS BUT NOOOOOO SHE HAD TO PULL THIS TWINCER SHIT. Marlene is honestly dead to me she tried to be original but always screws shit up
Alexa Ofelia which is total b.s. cause the fans didn't want some random person we never met!!! we wanted things to be done with no potholes and to actually make freaking sense !
PREACH omg
i wanted the show to end like the saw movies do like where at the ending it shows how everything ties together with that scary song playing lol like i just really hoped everything would've tied together i honestly didnt care who was gonna be A.D cuzz i knew a.d was gonna be a disappointment i just wanted my answers 😪 lol
She also store the Twincer idea from fans
I so wanted Alison to be A. D.!! It all started with her! and she needed to end it herself! Doesn't matter how Marlene did it. This series ended differently in my mind by Alison being behind all of this. Think about it. If Alison was A.D. everything would make sense from season 1!!!!!!!!!
No, They should have changed the story a little. Like When Alison fell at school she would have lost the baby and since there were no records of her going to a hospital to show she was pregnant they could have shown that she faked it to get emily's attention because she was always her favorite! and she always likes to play with her friends like dolls! You know she always acted like they were her properties!
mahnazha They should've implemented her twin from the books Courtney, and made her A.D. It makes no sense for Alison to be A.D.
It does!! Think about it! She always wanted to play with others including her friends! She blinded Jenna. She was in a relationship with Ian. She was mysteriously with a lot of guys manipulating them like toys. They could really use those things. But sadly they decided to go with something completely unrealistic and nuts.
Just look at alison being A.D. theory! It's amazing!!!!
Ali being A is way to simple
I’m still confused on how Aria never was threatened by A when she killed Shana, the rosewood police didn’t even care about Shanas death. Oh and I also wish that Aria would have been AD, it would have made the series so much better.
Well, yep. Shana's death occurred in NYC tho...
I would hate it if Aria was AD because that would just ruin the friendships and I would probably cry 😂
black lives matter ✊🏿
I just wished they had planned a story from the start... I mean we had seasons 1-2 that led to Mona being A and pll kept going with Cece as A (don't even get me started on that) being revealed in season 6 and now seasons 6 1/2 - 7 leading to Alex Drake as AD or the new A. It's like the show had three parts and it wasn't all planned from the very start. Honestly, I felt that the show was beautiful until the episode where Alison was revealed to be alive (which will always be my favorite episode). After that, it went a little downhill but I was still satisfied in season 6 with Cece as A because at least it had a backstory. When I heard that the show was gonna keep going, I was very excited because I thought "Uber A" would finally be revealed because to me, Cece isn't Uber A. I thought we would get an ending with the Uber A reveal which would connect dots all the way to the first season and that would fill in the many plot-holes in the show. The ending just wasn't good, I'm sorry. Like I'm angry because the story line is so original and could've been made into something so beautiful and thought-provoking and emotional. They took a beautiful concept and finished it with a rushed and poorly and suddenly planned ending that was just unnecessary. Like after season 6, it's just unnecessary. :(
Couldn't have said it better myself 👏👏👏
Just pretend that 7x19 is the real ending of the show and 7x20 doesn't exist. That's what I do
Which "Alison revealed to be alive" episode? There were many... Also, the ending of 7x19 left me unsatisfied, questioning EVERYTHING that was happening.
I mean, I just don't understand the whole "Alex" thing. why introduce us to a character last min then make that person be AD. There was no connection anywhere. And how they all figured everything out so quickly was odd. It's took them ALL season to try and figure out who it was, but then all of a sudden they just automatically know who it is and where exactly to find them. And why did Alex even want to kill Ezra first??? The whole thing was just too idiotic. It was jumping the shark, honestly.
Adriana Barron Yeah. It's a bit stupid
Wren was a better final villain ... I think
Lucy Seay and it would make sense also the least suspect
I dont think so, but i believe Wren is a better option for Big A than Cece
I dont think i could deal with wren as a villain especially AD. dont get me wrong I love Spoby and i hated when they broke up but ive been a diehard Wrencer fan since the beginning
They wanted Wren but he was unavailable for filming so they had to go with something else, they only had him on set for 1 day
The writers could of done a better job on the ending but it wasn't troians fault, The writers should be the ones handling apologizing to people. And some people think that's it's really cool that Marlene thought of who should be AD at the last second, but seriously that's just sloppy in my opinion.
I feel like Marlene was just up late on the wrong side of UA-cam one night, and the ending popped into her mind and she somehow thought it was a brilliant idea
😂😂😂
Wren would have been a better ending than Alex
I suppose so, yes. But this ending was kind of brilliant, all the times we saw Alex and didn't even know
_꾹토끼 but I m confused! I mean they didn't give all the incidences when Alex was pretending to be spencer.. it's sort of mixed up in my head as to which scenes actually had SPENCER. :/.
xxkittycatgirlxx Wren legit has no motive dude. Get over it.
Wren's actor was only available for one day of shooting so they couldn't make him A
God no, wren as a would be so boring
What irks me is that Marlene never took any risks with the show. Literally everyone got a happy ending. The finale would've been 10x better if one of the liars was A.D. along with the death of another. That would've grounded the show so much more and given us the ultimate final twist. What a waste.
I hated fan theories and ships. But the one theory that convinced me was Aria. However, it would have been interesting if Allison was A because she had the motive. And the intelligence. She's a master manipulator. Plus it would have been interesting because I feel like they brought her back but they did very little with her character.
IKKK she should have taken so many more risks
i could see Aria being A.D for sure
Umar come on dude, they all tried to turn in Alison to the police at one point, plus Aria even conspired with A.D. at one point. And as far as death goes I think Alison should've died, it would've been very poetic since the show began with her "death". And Alex's reveal as A.D. Totally nullifies the first six and a half seasons PLL was always Alison's story and it should've ended with her either dying or being part of the A.D. reveal.
I was soooo convinced it would be Hanna! Just because she acted dumb but then we found out that she was actually pretty smart when she got her SAT results back and stuff
Pll’s ending was actually really satisfying. If you read the books, A was actually Alison, because spoiler alert, in the books, Ali had a twin who spent the majority of her life locked up in Radley. When the twin sister, whose name was Courtney, came home after Radley closed at age 9, she was so jealous that her sister had a better life. Courtney was jealous of the aura of “I’m Ali and I’m fabulous” surrounding her sister, so occasionally, she acted as her sister. So when Courtney came home for a weekend, she dressed as Ali and sent the real Alison to the sanitarium Courtney was supposed to be sent to. Now at this point, someone needed to be Ali, so enter, Courtney. After reading Ali’s diary, Courtney ditched Ali’s best friends, because she knew that they would call her bluff, so enter, Aria, Emily, Spencer, and Hanna. These were “Ali’s” new besties, and the real Ali hated these girls. So as Courtney was her sister, Alison kept trying to convince the doctors at the mental hospital she was trapped in that she wasn’t Courtney, which only made the doctors believe even more that she was unstable. It all came to an end at a special sleepover that we all remember, the barn night at Spencer’s. After the girls fell asleep, Real Ali confronted Fake Ali aka Courtney. Real Ali hit Courtney with a shovel and killed her, burying the body where the DiLaurentis family was building a gazebo. Alison, the real one, became our favorite torturous psychopath known as “A” and the rest, as they say, is history.
Katie Keller yes I loved the books but you forgot one thing that Alison framed Courtney to be mentally ill and sent her to Radley in second grade
@@christinefosberg9637 it's like they gave this story to her mother and auntie in the series then?
I've never read the books but this is great. Well greater than the evil twin that no one knew about until the last episode thing
@@uyas5402 yeah I think that would be the case
damn this would have been way better
They focused so much on the fucking ships but no questions were answered
They shouldve known who it was going to be since season 1.... there was no emotional attachement to Alex and they didnt even say how wren died. What a waste
Yeah...Alex said that she was tired of being her and she wanted Spencer's life. She said that Wren was in love with her and she didn't want to be her anymore. She got tired of him just wanting her to be Alex so she killed him and made his ashes into the diamond necklace around her neck.
apparently they had a scene where alex killed wren but sadly the actor who plays wren, julian morris, wasn't available to film anymore so they had to do the whole diamond thing.. but i agree that they should have planned out better. was not happy with the finale..
I liked the ending, not because it made perfect sense because it didn't, but because it's been 7 years, and at this point I'm exhausted. I am just happy everyone ended up happy and together. But mainly, because Mona got her happy ending too.
Same
I agree, I thought it was a nice fit for the show as a whole. Did we ever expect pll to make sense?
well a good chunk of the show is about the hastings and the dilaurentis' problems, connections, and drama. PLL might as well be called keeping up with the Dila-Hastinngs. :D
Tbh, I'm fine with the ending, but I'm still a little upset about all the plot holes they didn't answer. It even goes all the back to season 4 where they never answered if Toby actually tried to kill spencer in the shower, and she somehow forgave him. Marlene is a good writer, but I'm just a bit disappointed. I get that they couldn't make all the fans happy, but I personally would've liked wren being AD instead of some random character popping out of nowhere. And we ever even got to see a final spoby scene.
These are just my opinions. I really enjoyed the series overall though.
I think the biggest issue was they were far to concerned with pleasing ppeople in regards to giving them the 'couples'. I don't give a damn about the couples -.- SOO much time in the finale was wasted.
I thought the same, especially the more intimate scenes I kept thinking "really? Why are they showing so much of this instead of giving us answers?" Those scenes went on for way too long.
HONESTLY
The Aria/Ezra wedding crap was unnecessary. I actually found the finale a little boring with the exception of Alex and Spencer and I always enjoy some Haleb scenes! "Diamonds are forever". Alex was so messed up that it was funny. She just said it so matter of fact...'Oh No...I couldn't have done that...I always have him near me.'
Billie Fisher yesss especially that five minute sex seen with all the couples.
Billie Fisher they really left all the important parts for the end and it seemed rushed
I feel like the ending was decent. Don't get me wrong, I'm upset that Alex (a character never brought up until the VERY end) was A.D., but what really made me mad was the ending barn scene with the new high schoolers. Because, the entire show is based off of bloodlines, affairs, and the terrible things that Alison and her gang did. I found that completely STUPID.
THANK YOU!
The whole adison thing was just completely unnecessary
They are making a spin off show called the Perfectionist I believe. But still shouldn't start out the exact same way as PLL
I'm gonna be honest I didn't really like how A.D turned out to Alex. Who wants an actually alternate ending but with Wren?
Judy Gonzalez, yes!! Also Wren acted so weird in the last episode.... like he didn’t give me a single Wren vibe from his actions..
Chilling With Chipper // K.J they literally basically shitted on wren. like he was such a great character since the begging and had so much potential and they did them SOOOO dirty. i’m not saying that him turning out to be a.d would be better than an evil twin sister but either way he deserved much better :/
I wasn't too disappointed in the finale. I was a little annoyed though. The thing that bothered me the most was the "spin off" at the way end. I hope they don't continue that. If they do it'll make me so mad because nothing can beat the real pll
Ezra being potential "A" a few seasons back was the best plot twist since then its been disappointment. A reveals haven't been compelling in whatever way maybe because most of us have watched since we were 12-13 and 7 years on with high expectations and its just been...meh. Literally Meh....Just watch it to see till the end as time we've invested so much time already.
As for British Spencer...I am British and I won't even continue. One didn't know how to feel.
K that episode of Ezra being A was my favorite. I think that they made the ending so disappointing because they didn't know who a would be before season 6 so they just thought the worst case scenario. maybe because of the books idk .
I also believe that something changed from season 6 and 7 ,I mean there wasn't the action or the agony we were used to feel in previous seasons. it just became boring
stella balou totally feeling your point. it's quite shocking that even the writers didn't really know where they were going with it.
K Ikr , I mean if you think about it and compare the first seasons to 6 and 7 you notice a totally different A. season 6,7 has a poor A with no imagination I suppose because he does nothing shocking and after all these years it's really disappointing. first seasons have nothing to do with the last ones . no A breaking into Emily's house with his car no A chasing the girls in the train no A trying to kill them with every possible way he could thing of. just boring . ugh I'm pissed
Gurl I feel your frustration...it was at season 6 where If I can speak for some of us, we were watching with no emotion and wondering what dumb sh*t these girls would do next that is completely irrelevant...like you said there was no imagination.
Struggling to understand how some people enjoyed it. I think we feel hurt as we feel victimized by this farce...like what happened at the boardroom meetings when discussing the final episodes....not even the final episode but the last 2 seasons?
K I can't really remember what the sixth season was all about but if I'm correct it was about cece coming out as A. I didn't mind it at all but I don't know I think that they screw things up after the dollhouse or after they made a 5year after . I think they shouldn't have make the after A .. generally I didn't like the whole grown up and successful girls..
If they do a spin off series with 'Addison' I might scream...
If they do, please come over and kill me
Vita rimmer I've heard it's already in the works, but I haven't confirmed the information yet
Vita rimmer they are doing a spin off. Believe it's going to be called The Perfectionist
I won't watch it because they are going to take too much stuff from pll and the blond actor that is supposed to be spencer SUCKED
I would watch jt
marlene: “but we had to be realistic”
also marlene: *gives one of the main character’s a twin that was literally never mentioned or even hinted prior to the last episode*
yeah we did have 7 great seasons of the show, but the main point of the entire show is "who is A?". if you f--- up the main point of the entire show and leave a million plot holes it makes it hard to focus on the good parts of the show.
So they didn't pick Wren because they "had to be more realistic"? Yeah, because having fucking twins everywhere is realistic.🙄
She meant they had to be realistic from a tv production standpoint. They didn't give the full IMK quote here, which provided more context. The gist was that they didn't think it made sense to make AD be someone whose actor wasn't readily available to them, and that it made more sense for AD to be one of their series regulars .
trentmcjiivers That's the thing, Alex wasn't one of their series regulars but the actress who played her was. And if they had planned to have it as Wren then that just proves even further that this Twin thing was just pulled out of nowhere. What a mess.
Well yeah...they created Alex because they had Troian for every episode and didn't know if/when they'd get Julian back for Wren. I think people are taking the "it was going to be Wren" a little too literally, I don't think they ever wrote, filmed and aired episodes where A.D. was meant to be Wren. Seems more that they wanted it to be him in theory but the actor availability issue took him out of the running.
From the beginning of 7A it's pretty clear they were going the Twincer route. I wouldn't be too surprised if they didn't really know what was up in 6B, but Twincer in 7A onward was so obvious, even I saw it coming (and I'm crap at catching clues!).
trentmcjiivers The fact that Twincer was *obviously* happening then that shows it crappy writing. It should been more of a twist.
having a set of twins in the family TWICE is realistic actually, maybe you should look it up before you spat uncalled drama that nobody cared for
i think i would have preferred an ending that actually had some emotional strength - not having the ultimate villain be someone we didnt know! as for everything we 'got' i dont care about the ships i just want it to make sense and feel like the same show instead of a random movie
I'm confused why is Mary Drake locked up with Alex if she didn't do anything wrong ?
She was edgy
Nah pll logic.
I kinda wish there were two endings.. like movies do sometimes... But it would be cool if they did the alternate ending in a special and/or bonus feature on the season DVD.
WREN WOULDVE BEEN MORE REALISTIC THAN A FREAKING TWIN
yes!💯
He could have been Bethany's brother, Beach Hottie, Cece's lover. Cece's half brother same father different mothers. He could have made Cece take the fall for him and she could still be trans but not be related to the Dilaurentis. But no they wanted a twist. A twist for the sack of a twist usually not good.
Tiny little thing? THAT TINY LITTLE THING WAS THE IS THE WHOLE BASIS OF THE SHOW
Dezi Nemo Pea you are so right like just make up your mind of who A is
Alex as AD was a rubbish ending. We didn't even know this person and it seemed she just picked something random out of the fan theories and shoved it in as an ending. The only couple I wanted to see together in the end was Spencer and Toby. I didn't want Aria and Ezra to be together at the end. I didn't want Emily and Alison to be together. I couldn't care less about Hanna or Calebs ending. I hated Hanna the whole way through because she spoke to people like crap all the time. The ending ruined it for me.
I am a big PLL fan for the last 7 years and i will be that forever ( got all the dvdssss )
And i am so happy with the ending
I couldn't ask for more.
I love the whole PLL team ❤😘
I totally understand and respect the writers for giving everything that we wanted with Haleb, Emison, Ezra and Aria wedding and Spoby back together. She's right. The thing is that the reveal of AD was too similar to how A was revealed. Allison and Charlotte were related and we never really knew it and now AD is related to Spencer? Idk, it felt like they were copying it and it got so complicated. And I also didn't like at all when they made Addison and her group. that annoyed me so much. It was so unnecessary.
Brittany Felauer they had to make the group with Addison because of the pll spin off
ThatzJenny Why would they make a spin off and copying the exact same thing from the very first episode??? 😭😭😭 I think it's so dumb honestly
Brittany Felauer it's just the first scene, the whole show will be so different
ThatzJenny Still though, it's uncreative. Idk. I just don't have that much faith in the spin off but we'll see
Exactly how is the ending that people have been waiting for years for supposed to shocking when it's almost the same exact thing that happened in the books? Which BTW Marlene claimed she wasn't going by
Gossip girl reveal was better 😂😂
I didn't like that Dan was Gossip Girl at all. I would've preferred a lot of other people...Vanessa...one of Blair's minions...and my personal favorite Serena's cousin Charlotte "Charlie", who was denied the lavish upbringing. I was thrilled with Blair and Chuck's happy ending so they made it worthwhile.
Nick V the whole series I was staying it's derota I wouldn't have minded if it was her as well... I agee dans one didn't really make sense
I agree. I was surprised by it but it all made sense because he was an outsider and he was writing the books etc.
i loved dan being gossip girl but i hated that serena forgave him after like 0.2 seconds like..
void alison so true 😂😂 they should've revealed it much earlier in and gave them try and forgive him.
Maya should of being A
Noooo that would piss me off, I love her
there would be no reason
There is 3 people who could have been A.D
•Alison Di,laurentes*spelling mistakes
•Archer Dunhill
•Alex Drake
There left so many freakin questions.... why Aria's case wasn't in Jessica's lair ? Why Alex picked Aria when she was sleeping and said that they are gonna be bff's ?? Why Mona said Miss Aria you are killer not Ezra's wife aka Maya knew?? They had such a good oppurtunity to make everything perfect, but they made such a shit, honestly. And not just with Alex and Cece, but with Sara as a black swan and redcout. So dissapointed, Marlene. With all reveals. It is a lack of imagination. Even fans theories were much better than this one. You took too long with the show. Sorry for my English.
honestly i would have wanted one of the main characters to be A, not just someone we had met in 1 episode. I really wanted hanna and caleb to be doing this whole thing
Anna Whiteley actually we didn't meet her in one episode, she was out in the open a couple times before we knew who she was in various episodes. Like when Hanna saw "Spencer" when she was captured and she tried to help her, that wasn't Spencer, that was Alex. When "Spencer" asked Toby if she could kiss him one last time, that wasn't Spencer, that was Alex, the two times her and Toby had sex was Alex as well and there are other moments in other episodes where I didnt think Spencer was Spencer but her twin.
Alison DiLaurentis well yes, that's definitely true, but i mean that we only knew of her in one episode. like we didn't know Spencer had a twin, and we didn't know who alex drake was. that's all i mean.
I honestly wanted it to be Spencer...like a double personality thing.
The airport with Wren and Ezra.
Anna Whiteley no fuck you
People are all down here saying how bad it was, but in my opinion, it's better to leave things unanswered, so a bit of mystery hangs in there, like it always has, and so we are left to wander, they answered most things anyway. I love the show and I am so so sad it's ended, the finale was amazing though❤️
A should have been Ezra! I don't buy his story that he was writing a book about Alison. Just look at his Lair! and what the hell was he doing following the girls wearing a gas mask in Ravenswood. Also, I was Never a Fan of Ezra and Aria.... WHY was this MAN so into teenagers??? How can anyone say that it is okay for a grown man (also a teacher) to date a 15 year old student??? It is illegal for a reason! 2 words to describe Ezra's character: Discusting Pedephile!
Angelisa Hassan in the show it was clearly said that their relationship was illegal and I agree with everything that the other person said. A 16 year old should not be dating a grown ass man. It’s just wrong. She is a minor who doesn’t know any better. Plus the fact that Ezra knew who she was is just disgusting.
In a legal aspect, their relationship was only wrong when he was her teacher. In PA, where this is staged, 16 is the legal age of consent. We also meet Ezra when he “just graduates”, which puts him at 22/23. Really not that drastic. Creepy when it was revealed he knew her already, but he’s not a pedophile. That’s a very serious word for people who jack off to prepubescent children. Going after teens just makes him a pervert, not a pedo.
He also dated Alison. And this girl he was in a relationship with, Nicole, looks younger than him too
this ending just made the first 6 seasons pointless honestly . they should've did a better job at tieing everything together but i digress
Honestly, I was hoping AD was revealed as someone who had been on the show since season 1, someone who we had grown to love and couldn't imagine was A. Someone who made Mona and Charlotte take the A fall! And why the hell did they do a year jump after the game was over before they revealed who AD was! waste of my goddamn time
Cynthia Rutherford the writers honestly just didn't know what to write . the show was supposed to end after A was revealed, but i feel like they got a little money hunger & thought making up a new A would be easy & they learned they were wrong ..
I could live with the Cece reveal only if that made sense! That was horrible on its own! Nothing made sense and after that show everyone left with more answers than they went in with. These 10 final episodes were to give us answers, make sense, tie everything together, be dark, be heartbreaking, be about the secrets getting revealed... not about the couples! The show strayed so much and the writers were the worse in history of any television show of this genre and I can't express enough how disappointed I was by everything! How to get away with murder is a far better show! Heck Ravenswood that was canceled was damn better!
frfr
Cynthia R
I dont give a shit about the weddings! Where are my answers... WTF happened THAT night? Explain damnit!
LoucAnt13 Preach...straight up!
They explained it in the 4th or 5th season, if im correct, somewhere there .
LoucAnt13 you know what was wired the whole sharlet and mona thing and how mona got away with it all and the ending with the mona having spacer mom and sister and it kind of left awn awser qustions
I also wanted some Cape May answers. Who was beach hottie???!!!!!!
LoucAnt13 they did, or did you miss basically all of season 3-4? The show was about people who have formed a strong relationships with each other. You being jealous that no one wants to be your friend, doesn't equate to the show being poorly written.
They should never stop the show! Go till season 50
People who wanted Emily and Alison are crazy. She emotionally abused Emily for yearsssss 🙄
So true, I'm still annoyed that they killed off Maya tbh
spoby deserved so much better omg. ezria got married, haleb is married and pregnant, emison is engaged and they have kids, and spoby got kinda sort of dating and it was kind of unclear. spoby has always been my otp and i'm really angry about how things turned out for them
Emily Rosebrook I feel like it was unfair that Aria couldn't have kids. Because if anything it would have been unlikely for her to have that issue. They never even made hints about her infertility. And she has never done anything that may affect it (I.e. abusing drugs (Spencer) or fluctuating weight due to bulimia (Hanna). I'd anything, I thought Galen were having issues with conceiving so it would have made more sense for her to struggle with infertility. They never even explained why.
Emily Rosebrook I also think it's weird that Spoby's ending was relatively unclear, when they had probably the most solid relationship. It's weird that Emmison got their happily ever after even though their relationship was fairly new tbh. Although, it may be because of Yvonne dying, which made it longer for them to be together. cuz he obviously had to grieve.
I was annoyed that Mike wasn't at Aria's wedding like he didn't turn up to his own sister's wedding ??
Faye 03 me too!
ugh that was terrible, at least a 10 second explanation :C
mayba aria ugly calling him when ezra didn't show up :C
I loved the way that the show ended. I would have been devastated if Spencer would have died or got hurt. She is my favorite character on the show.
I really want to know who's in the coffin in the theme song...
Lisha Murray Bethany Young
Some model/actress/producer's kid I imagine. Remember, Bethany was under the ground for a year... I think the opening was about pretty girls and death, nothing literal.
I think it changes from season to season. It's no specific character, it changes as the story progresses. First Alison, then Bethany, then Charlotte.
It's most likely Ali as the girls didn't know she was alive until S5.
I think it was hinted even in the theme song that spencer or spencers twin was A. Spencer and the girl in the coffin had on the same exact dress almost as if saying that A and spencer are more alike than you'd think. The girl in the coffin more symbolizes the secrets that they are keeping hidden away by the girls... well the biggest secret during the entire series is who A is. Because nobody knows... so it is showing that spencer plays a big part in this secret
I though I would be sad after my favorite ended, but with that shitstorm finale I don't even care anymore lol
Yes it was a true shit storm lmfao
Ok but most people didn't even care about the couples as much as they just wanted answers. Honestly even if who they chose as AD sucked, I would have been happy if the finale didn't have so much bullshit drama and relationship stuff. I, along with most of the fandom would have been much happier getting to know Alex more and having more action throughout the episode and having more of our questions answered. There were too many plot holes in this story and Marlene could have done a better job answering them. I'm sorry but no. The writers were lazy and didn't do as good of a job as they could have.
I only cared about Haleb!
Lissette Perez Hmm, to bad those "lazy" writers are probably making more money than you will ever see. But don't worry, I'm sure they still care about some random persons UA-cam comment.
I'm sure Marlene will care about these "random comments"(AKA *opinions from the viewers*)when she can't get another meaningful script or movie/TV idea bc every executive producer and writer in the biz saw how she completely botched the series & pissed off all the fans! Don't try to trivialize the voice of the people 😀. The entertainment business sure doesn't.
But those rich writers are successful because of their fans. More fans, more people to spend money to buy their crap. fewer fans, less money.
Lissette Perez EXACTLY! A lot of these disclaimers from Troian and even Marlene's, "well, we ACTUALLY wanted AD to be Wren" concession just come off as colossal backpedaling at this point.
Emily's first and only boyfriend would have been more relevant as A.D and that says a lot cause the girl had a bf for what? A few episodes? The first season?
I just started watching pll right when they were still filming the finale and I'm only on season 3 and pissed
Fucking anyone would have been a better AD. It would have made more sense to the story line. They can say all they want but the fact is 90% of your fans are pissed off and this will go down as the worst finale ever.
(It was the writers fault not the cast so don't harass them.)
I'm feeling so sorry for all the actors that there's so much hate on the finale
Perfect 'A' team
Alison
Mona
Spencer
It's like the person that wrote the 1st 6 seasons was different from the one that wrote season 7 like those 1st few seasons were good then it's like the writer stopped caring
Am I the only one that didn't hate the ending?
Ritika Shah me too
Nope, you're not alone :)
I think the ending was great!!! Especially when they started the whole process over by re-doing episode 1 with Addison and her friends i was dying lol
Ritika Shah I liked the ending! I was kind of glad all the girls got a happy ending.
Ritika Shah it ended kinda like the book ended so i'm not complaining.
Mona is such a queen it's unbelievable
“Ezra wedding”?? damn did Ezra marry himself 🥰😍
Did Ezra ever find out that his brother and Aria kissed?
Because that has been bugging me forever
So Pretty Little Liars started being a really good show with a dark and twisted story but ended up being a stupid drama focusing only on relationships because Marlene King wanted to please the fans??? TThe ending was horrible for me, the show ended when they said Cece was A because that was a shit too I'm sorry
usagitsukino16 exactly I was so disappointed
I loved the ending but we deserved more spoby and less haleb coz like wow did caleb became the 6th liar??? He was in every episode wtf
caleb as the 6th liar LMFAOOOO FFS
Ibe Vijle Agreed. Haleb is overrated like they're just natural now it's nothing that makes our hearts skip a beat like "oh haleb is fucking for the 100th time nothing new" I feel like Marlene just left spoby hanging. The Emison story was rushed too like they should've put more depth into it in season 6 and built it up but they literally got engaged in two or three months
I just wanna cry... I've watched this show from the summer and I feel so attached to the characters... I just finished season 7.... I just need a hug :
There were no A boys
