KWVR "In the beginning "

8mm cine without soundtrack shot by me prior to and during the official opening day of the railway.
Locos include the 0-4-0 Pug, 0-6-2 N2 Tank, 2-6-2 Ivatt tank and the 0-6-0 USA tank.

Worth watching for the atmosphere and character of the early days. I remember, as schoolboy, roaming freely amongst the locomotives and stock in Haworth yard before the present locomotive shed was built. Loved the bespoke KWVR liveries applied to many locomotives and coaches - now as much a part of railway heritage as the original liveries to which most have since been restored.
