Short answer yes while both are mainline games Legends Arceus definitely felt more alive than Scarlet and Violet and the Biomes felt more distinct as well as the games performance being noticeably smoother now of course there’s more updates coming out to fix some of the bigger issues for Scarlet and Violet and there are a lot judging the games in their current states Legends Arceus is still the better game

The catching/starting battle mechanics in PLA are FAR superior than SV. I get we don’t need to catch a bunch of the same type of Pokémon in SV, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been thrown between Pokémon battles just trying to leave one spot. I want to be able to control going into battle or not. The battles are also soooo much faster and smoother in PLA. The amount of text and long pauses during battles in SV is killing me. 😵💫
It’s a shame really because if SV was properly optimised and bug tested it would really enjoyable.
Let’s hope the next mainline game builds off of Legends Arceus!
I also dont know why they made the mount we ride giant but then made so many tiny pokemon spawn in the overworld there are so many you just dont see and then BAM youre in battle :(
@@FatManVSWild Yes! That drives me nuts! And how they will suddenly spawn right in front of you or de-spawn not too far away! I’ve almost lost two shinies because of these things!
Catching Pokémon in legends Arceus is fun, in SV is a hassle 😩, I hate that they look so small and everywhere you walk you step on one and have to fight it. In legends Arceus you could just escape, if not you would be attacked! Hahahahaha

Arceus. It just looks and plays so much better. Catch / battle mechanics are so good and was a breath of fresh air. Unpopular opinion but I think SV story is trash. Sure, Arceus isn’t fully “open world” but the environment was so much better in each area.
I love Legends Arceus, SV just hasn’t resonated with me in the same way.
Let’s just hope that Gamefreak get more time to work their magic
I loved both, but found Arceus mechanics were more fun. but SVs story was the best. Arceus was fun because the mechanics for catching are fun, made catching multiple Pokémon good fun, it had so many side quests that varied the goals so much and rewarded you with "the real ending". Both could do with more post game stuff to do.
Merge the best of both and that will be an incredible Pokemon game.
Legends arceus is peak pokemon.

The story in Scarlet and Violet is definitely better. But I enjoyed the _playing_ of Legends Arceus way more! What I miss is the action component of PLA. Including the catching and the fear when having to dodge attacks (because since this was my first ever action type game, I was terrible at it at first, but I still loved it so much!)
I haven’t finished the story for Scarlet and Violet yet but I can’t wait as everyone is saying it’s soo good! PLA has set the standard for Pokémon fans I think now, everyone wants more action RPG
I will say though I didn’t like the boss battles, just throwing stuff at them and dodging was a bit lame

Scarlet and violet story is terrible, no plot until you reach area zero.
Legends arceus has an actual plot, memorable characters, and tough fights (as your pokemon are probably under leveled due to lack of trainer battles)
The story for sv is terrible and by far the most boring thing I’ve played through ever, it’s all repetitive and doesn’t become enjoyable until the end, it’s bland and the gameplay is again. Repetitive
@@shadowoflugia sorry for the late reply, I don’t know how I would’ve done a boss battle for a Pokémon game and because of that I think overall they did a fairly good job. It blends your traditional turn based battling with an actual action RPG fight. That Arceus fight was tough!
Im surprised you didnt mention the other quality of life things arceus did that SV dropped. The fluidity of the whole game and menus was great. Thinking about the way you cycle pokemon, items, map waypoints, and even the way your pokemon learn/forget/swap moves was so much nicer. I hope the next mainline pokemon game after SV takes all these great things from arceus and combines it with what the *tried* to do with the story of SV.
100%, the next gen needs to combine the best elements out of both of these games. I completely forgot about how good the menu systems are in PLA! That would’ve made the quick battle mechanic in SV more enticing

Legends Arceus made catching Pokémon fun! The story was so interesting and mysterious. I love how they used Arceus and the alpha Pokémon, loved that Pokémon had different sizes! And the Pokémon there felt real! Like they would attack you if the spotted you entering their territory. It was truly a unique game and I hope they make a DLC, or a second part, would love to see the Kalos War and everything connect with the paldea created in the next legends game
I love legends arceus, but I want them to take the mechanics out of this game and implement them into a traditional title (except again and strong moves). They killed PLA off in a month. As soon as that daybreak update and SV was announced it was done which is sad because there’s so much more that game could’ve gave and I think it’s because it’s a spin off. That’s why I’d love them to use the great things from PLA so we get longevity with these mechanics
One thing i love so so much about arceus is the simple fact you can physically *catch em all* in one game and theres no stupid version exclusives so i can for once in my life feel truely accomplished in a pokemon game
The pokedex and catching is core to PLA in a way that's convinced me to pursue it in a way I've never done before in pokemon. The free camera in battles with wild pokemon really makes it feel in the world, especially when you run away. It mainly suffered from a lack of trainers and bit jumps in difficulty that made the actual battling and training pokemon take a backseat.
SV was going in more of a right direction by having more trainers (and I think the 3-story structure was brilliant to liven up gameplay)
but it felt like it went halfway in both so neither the battling nor the catching feel as satisfying.
PLA is the more cohesively enjoyable experience to me, but SV makes me excited for the next mainline pokemon game. I pray pray pray they give it enough time for development so we get a world that's fun to explore and catch pokemon in it alongside trainers and bosses that are fun to fight. Everyone's said it by this point but The Pokemon Company are shooting themselves in the foot by crunching their games and leaving them just short of incredible.
You’re absolutely bang on there. Both Arceus and SV are enjoyable but if Gamefreak was given more than 3 years they could really get a chance to innovate
The problem is that the games are scheduled to tie in with merch and the anime as Pokémon is a lifestyle now. They really had millions of people walking the streets to catch Pokémon in the summer of 2016
3 years development time, not to mention it was 2 new open world games which is brand new to Gamefreak as well as a remake throw into the mix
Pokemon will always remain relevant so they just need to give them more time
They should transport more other Pokémon from different regions in Pokémon HOME.
My theory on why some of the mechanics in PLA were dropped off in Scarlet and Violet is that Gamefreak split their 169 developers in half, and made each one of them work on each game, with each team having their own idea on an open world Pokemon game but with limited contact to not have copied aspects, but rather similar aspects that work differently.
Kind of reminds me to the story of Sonic 2 and Sonic CD in how both of them were made with the idea of being the sequel to Sonic 1, and had similar ideas, but they were executed in different ways that sometimes they're not the same a lot of the time.
Yeah I think that’s a good theory. I feel like PLA was a test to see how fans reacted to the experience. Realistically 169 developers isn’t nearly enough for a modern day open world game which is why SV was so poorly optimised
I love Arceus, that said I think it should be a parallel focus for GF. I think mainline games with their competitive scene should stay but Arceus was a much better single player experience.
I’d love them to focus on experiences like PLA more!
Legend Arceus has better wild area gameplay (catch outside battle, run from wild pokemon), battle system (agile/strong move, speed meter), character customization, graphic stability... Scarlet/violet has better storyline, number of pokemon, complete pokemon elements (ability, held item, gym battle, etc)
Overall Legend arceus better than scarlet/violet, but gamefreak probably too lazy to create more perfect title
The perfect game would be a combination of the best features of these titles, the thing is it would take more than 3 years to make and I don’t think Gamefreak get enough dev time so they work with what they have
The attack animations in PLA are way better the SV, arguably than best in the entire franchise.
I actually started a new game for PLA last week and I haven't played violet since
Arceus is a better stand-alone, 1-time play-through game. SV has much more replay value which is important in games without multiple save files
A few months ago, I wouldn’t of agreed but now I’ve finished SV, 100%. I can’t and don’t want to restart PLA as the core of the game is centred around catching Pokémon. SV is just your traditional game and I love the story and team building so I’d happily restart it now and replay it
@@JamaTheGamer I 100%ed PLA, waited a month then started a new 1 and didn’t even make it to the Kleavor fight. I’ve Nuzlocked SV at least 6 times since it came out
With Scarlet and Violent once I beat Area Zero I did the Gym Rematch, 1 school torment, caught a few shiny paradox thanks to sandwiches...and then drop the game. I didn't even go fight the 4 ruin pokemon. I just got 120 pokemon in the dex and then just stop.
With Legends I did EVERYTHING. The post story, the complete pokedex. Fought Arceus himself, get all research to 10 for the shiny charm. Shiny hunted days and days on end.
So for me: Legends Arceus was better because I enjoyed it and played it way more.
Legends Arceus is my favourite out of the 2. I just feel way more involved in the gameplay and I’m struggling to return to the traditional gameplay
@@JamaTheGamer yeah after the year of dodge rolling and chucking balls to catch, being unable to do that felt weird. Especially since the hide in grass still there.

Why is there so many Scarlet and Violet haters? It’s the only reason I didn’t buy them till 3 days ago but I’m absolutely loving them I didn’t like any of the switch titles especially legends arceus. I think these games are amazing. Give it 4 years and the nostalgia for Scarlet and Violet will be better than Legends arceus. I thing Legends arceus is way over rated in the Pokémon community that game was so bad. Which sucks because I love the Sinnoh region.
SV is let down by performance, visual and some creative issues but still. It’s a really fun Pokémon game. PLA showed us the catching mechanic and then it was forgotten about. Personally, I was mad when I realised they didn’t bring it to SV and I think others felt the same to. I love both games for different reasons, why do you dislike PLA?

@@JamaTheGamer I know you said that you didn’t want to compare performance but personally for me that makes arceus 10x better for me. I bought Pokémon violet and instantly was disappointed with the clunky mechanics and terrible animations and terrible graphics. Let alone I get a solid 20 fps the whole time I’m playing. Huge disappointment for a game that could be so great

if it was a mainline game then there would be a way to fight players online and go up in ranks and cause of the turns and styles its too much of a change to competitive

Haven’t watched the video yet, but pokemon legends arceus is peak pokemon, it has memorable characters, actual (and amazing) plot and story, and i like to shiny hunt, no matter what you say, you will not change my mind. Legends arceus IS peak pokemon.
Just being able to catch Pokémon without battling is enough to set it apart from the pack

Both games are slow to begin, but at least PLA speeds up eventually. SV feels very repetitive, and after I defeated the gyms again, it felt like there was nothing to do. SV was so laggy, my game constantly bugged out, and had to restart the game (but that may be a problem with my switch). Catching Pokémon felt very boring. I tried to complete my pokedex, but it was just so boring, and the fact that the luck factor was taken out like how it was in gen 7 and before that, I just gave up halfway to though. The graphics were bad, and the game felt clunky. On PLA side of things, the graphics weren’t great, but after the game opens up, things really get going. If you wanted you could just catch a Pokémon a leave, there were almost no problems with lag, and completing the pokedex was fun, because of the way how you had different ways to do it at your own pace. There was a lot of life in the game too, and my unpopular opinion of the game is that I sort of like the games graphics. They weren’t great, but it matched the theme of the game itself (old fashioned), and I found the world to be quite beautiful at times like sunset
I think PLA looks and runs better than SV without question. PLA is a great game, I just missed travelling through new locations and gym battles.
SV is great due to less restrictions but it could’ve been so much more
The next game in the series is crucial and I hope it gets the care and attention it needs as hardware is no excuse for a game to be so poorly optimised

The sneaking, throwing outside combat and such is excellent this they should keep for major games in the future. In regards to story and world Scarlet and Violet is better. I prefer the modern world. However I would love for Gamesfreak to make the combat less clicking past screens. I dont need to know my pokemon has confusion five times in a row I can see it on the mon perhaps or as an icon, I would prefer they moved combat effects and such onto the mons and as an icon rather than constant screen clicking. Keep it cleaner and smoother. I also want the Pokemon championship to be a big tournament with rivals, battles, cutscenes and a bigg thing.
Yeah they really need to double down on presentation, quality of life changes and filling the world with content. Let’s hope they get enough time to do that in Gen 10!
for me personally - PLA feels more realistic in terms of catching, throwing items, rolling, moving in the battle, and the overall danger you feel around aggressive and alpha pokémon (specially at night) whereas in SV it just feels too automated, it is almost the same as the previous titles where you are just repeatedly pressing the same buttons without thinking or strategizing. the only thing i loved about SV was having my pokémon outside of their poke balls following me and the whole Area Zero part. however, other than that, i prefer PLA. if Pokémon can combine the best of both games, we could have an excelente new game in the near future
Personally, I love the OG battle mechanic of SV, the other things PLA did it way better than SV
Yeah, I do like the traditional battling more than the strong/agile moves. They just need to take the best features out of both these games and expand on them

Regarding the PLA catching mechanic, there was no good reason to get rid of it. If they were worried about exp, they could have made it so you get no exp for a catch that doesn’t use the battle mode.
The catching mechanic in PLA is miles better than this quick battle mechanic in SV, I genuinely have missed it
The only reason I see it not being in SV was to make it more of a Legends Trademark (like the Lets Go Games)
I think a hybrid of the two would be good. Like the best of both worlds type of deal.

Arceus was my first pokemon game that I dont played in rom. I first think that the mecanics were bad, but lately I enjoyed it too much is one of my favorite games, apart of the DS games (3DS I dont find a god room soo recomendacion please)

There are other towns, but only the D/P settlements, which are more like little sanctuarys than full-fledged towns.

@@JamaTheGamer There are a few quests, but the most important thing is the Clans Treasure's. You can only get these quests after defeating Dialga and Palkia

PLA is the better game, but scarlet having pokemon trainers to battle and gyms makes it more accessible and less boring imo.
100%, PLA doesn’t have replay ability simply because the focus on catching Pokémon. Even though I probably like PLA more, I’d probably replay SV over PLA
I never finished a pokemon game since Y. Bought couple games after that but the motivation was just dead and barely made progress.
I heard of Arceus few months up to its release, but didn't care. I figured it was some cheap spinoff. Closer to its release I finally seen gameplay and it looked very intriguing. Reviews came out and I decided to finally give pokemon another chance. And wow... Color me surprised. It was such a refreshing experience. Different time, different story, different role, revamped mechanics, immersive gameplay. Very unappealing looks but I had over 100 hours of fun. Can't complain.
I bought Violet after my renewed faith...totally regretted it. Back to the same formula with outdated battle mechanics, and embarrassing looks and performance on top of it. I just didn't care to play past 10 hours. I'll be looking forward to Legends 2 if that's a thing.
I hear you on that. Legends Arceus is the direction that the games should build off. Problem is as games get bigger, they take longer to develop so I doubt we will get a sequel to legends arceus. I hope we do or that they implement the great mechanics into Gen 10
Legends Arceus may too hard for children but really fun and good game.

(Also SV graphics and real style(?) character art are so... not good... )

I think we underestimate kids and what they can do but I do agree that SV is far too easy and the graphics are poor
I was thinking the same thing. While the Pokémon and people look better in SV than Arceus, the art is inconsistent. You can’t have nice textured/ detailed Pokémon and people in a world where the landscapes look like they were made 15 years ago… In Arceus, the graphics were consistent. Both need polishing, but I definitely prefer consistency.
It’s funny I mention the texture n detail of Pokémon because for some reason metallic type Pokémon look absolutely fantastic I did whole steel mono run just so I could see all the different textures

Agree, graphically they just don't feel alive. Which is crazy for a game about creatures. Also they lack atmosphere for large portions of the game. I'm playing it with my son, and so much is just boring. If you are going to have large maps it needs to be pretty to look at and interesting to explore.
100% not enough time was given to the developers to really flesh out this game that’s clear. Pokémon will continue to be like this if they release a game each 3 years as development takes longer these days with the advancement in technology
I hate empty villages.... every other games you could go into every building. But the world to me just feels dead =(. Also i really really hate when they give us stuff we really love in one game and then next game they take it away. I loved outfits in shield and sword. I also loved the hair styles in sword and shield more as well. They hair styles in scarlett and violet are well.... meh. I like long hair been a girl... but the only option i get is horrid.
There’s a lot of issues with the later Pokémon games and it’s clear to see. They are transitioning from the 2D era to 3D with the same resources, timescales and mindset. It’s a real shame, let’s hope Gen 10 gets more time to be fleshed out
Scarlet is fun but what makes me feel bored is when every fight is too easy. It because they give you freedom to choose to fight any gym leaders or quest you want. Its like level 1 to 8 in other previous pokemon game and the difficulties increase every time. But in SV, since i started to fight a higher level gym,then my pokemon are overpowered with some others gym. It would be nice if the create a mechanic that let the gym or any enemies level synchronize with pokemon that we have. That way, there'll not be a fight that's too easy. Or to make it simple, add difficulty level starting at the start of the game.
I agree, they do need to level gate some areas but they need to do level scaling to make sure it’s a consistent level of challenge.
I mentioned a similar thing in my previous Pokémon video!
If you head to the strongest areas first, I guess you know the rest of the game's going to be easier (that's the challenge). I kinda feel if every gym/trainer/pokemon changed with your level the game would either be too easy or too hard throughout. But you could probably get a middle ground if there were still more things that were level-dependent, like Nemona's battles raising in difficulty regardless of where you challenge her.
Personally I feel both are on about the same level, though I have spent more than double the time on SV than Legends 😅
Really? I thought PLA would’ve been the longer game. What’s the sort of thing that has kept you playing SV?
@@JamaTheGamer It took me about 55 hours to complete all the stories in Violet, but after that I began spending more time exploring the areas I haven’t been to and completing the dex. Now I’ve been investing time into completing Tera Raids, dabbling in EV training and shiny hunting
@@Pixelite_ I wish they had a battle tower, i want to do some team building and go through challenging battles. I hope they bring something like that with the DLC

i'm trying to sell my copy of violet i honestly detested it, especially after legends. imo the story, world, catching, pokedex, music, gimmicks, difficulty and overall enjoyment of legends was way better. the pokedex has you actually research pokemon! in SV they open the world up to you but if you spend 30 mins autobattling you are overpowered the rest of the game as i was sadly surprised by. also, i know ppl love shinies but i caught 4 shiny forretress just walking around! i had a full party of shinies in a day. should not be possible and completely ruined the excitement of finding them. the graphics not being the best in legends also just weren't apparent to me at all, if anything it fit with the narrative and aesthetic of the past. SV is sposed to be the future of pokemon and in every instance looks a distractable degree worse than pokemon stadium to me.
I have yet to finish SV. Every time I play it I get frustrated at the bugs, performance issues and game visuals. What frustrates me the most is they have just announced DLC to take more money from fans while it runs like garbage
@@JamaTheGamer i got close but it's hard to look at those ugly tiled textures spanning whole mountains that clip in and out constantly and asking $35 for more of the same is insulting but of course ppl want it to complete their pokedex so they'll sell a lot. i realized i had forgotten that the school in SV does have you research pokemon too but not as engagingly and seamlessly as the legends pokedex, i skipped all the classes after the first cause they were just boring onslaughts of text. also, I feel like once you face one gym/star/titan/raid you've faced them all which rlly drained my motivation, i forced myself to get to the post game just to find out it's more of the same and that it was def not worth my time/money. idk if the competitive players are happy but the multiplayer being so heavily reliant on the metas to succeed has personally never been my thing.
haven't played scvi but i can report that PLA's battle system is absolutely atrocious
free revenge kills, inability to move for turns at a time, the styles consuming more pp forcing you to go back and heal absurdly often or carry around leppa berries using up expensive bag space, spread moves being deleted despite the multiple story battles where you fight multiple pokemon at once
Yeah all that’s frustrating, the battle system didn’t need to be changed. It should of remained the same
they felt like pokemon going 2 different directions
one, experimenting new grounds. going into the past and being more pokemon focused along with all the classic items we've come to know and love like the pokeball. how they came about, how cities we know developed. etc
the other. the opposite direction. adding new stuff. leaving the past behind. being more human character focused, with pokemon just in the background as the setting. not aiming to flesh out the world, lore, or stuff. but instead just focus on 1 or 2 legendaries, and the human drama.
i hope we get more legends games. they are much more appealing direction with ALOT more potential. from Johto and the burnt tower, to the Unovan war, the Kalos disaster, and more.

I enjoyed sword. It’s the first game that I took the time to complete the Pokédex. I recently replayed Omega Ruby, that gen had some amazing locations. Paldea needed another year or 2 to be really fleshed out
It’s way better in every way except the exploration between locations being a bit awkward in Arceus

Arceus In my opinion obliterates Scarlett and Violet out of any sort of competition, not only did Arceus have an amazing story(which SV did too but I prefer Arceus’) but also had far better gameplay and i hate the fact that we’ve lost the feature for catching Pokémon without joining the battle

They definitely released Arceus as a trial and error to see how we all feel about it.
I feel Arceus was better than S/V, felt like a fresh feel to the game. If S/V implemented the way you can catch/battle pokemon in Arceus it would have been a brilliant game.
100% I prefer the traditional 8 gyms and journey type game but the mechanics in PLA are sooooo good!

@@JamaTheGamer Both Pokémon Legends Arceus and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are fun games to play on my (I also have Pokémon Sword and Shield) Nintendo Switch. I just perfer Pokémon Legends Arceus a lot more because the gameplay is abousetly amazing and the Pokémon are just a lot cooler than Scarlet and Violet. I absolutely love Pokémon Legends Arceus more because you can actually get all three starter Pokémon after you complete the main game and you also get much awesome legendary Pokémon too.

SV is better for me. Cos I like battling with gym leaders, gang leaders and some trainers around the map. Arceus for me is kind a boring because there's not enough people to battle with like pokemon trainers, gym leaders, gang leaders etc and it's all about catching pokemons. And it force me to catch pokemon I don't like, so that I can just move on to another map.
Yeah I hear you, that’s one of the things I don’t like about the game. I missed the trainer battles and gyms. It made the world feel empty in a way
I adore Scarlet and Violet(mainly for the story), but Legends Arceus is much more fun to me. I really like the art style in it too.
Yeah I love SV’s story. I wish SV got the time it needed to really flesh out the world. You can see what they wanted to do, they just didn’t have the time to execute it and it makes me fearful for gen 10
Legends has plenty of nice character designs, and maybe some weird ones. An academy-centered region does not work in a Pokémon game that it is weird when being a Pokémon champion is the school assignment, and the characters look too much like dolls with heavy makeup on than anime characters.
@@LuigiTheMetal64 the academy setting is strange but I do love the 3 stories and how they converge into 1. There’s something about these newer Pokémon games where I don’t feel like I’ve been on an adventure like the older titles
@@JamaTheGamer Kids play video games to be on adventures in an escape reality, not to be in schools. Schools work in the old Pokémon games because they are minor places like training modes. Even the Kalos region makes me feel like I am adventuring because Miare City was made to be the hub world where there are branching paths that even the caves have the said paths, and you can get back to the city after winning badges. The Galar region is the most linear where there is like 2 junctions, which is just stupid like you are touring. I am fine with the story being about becoming a champion, even if that is already done. I just love being in Japanese-inspired regions with different Pokémon and characters that I support Pokémon being a Japanese series that is already worldwide, and never need an Ethics Department.

Arceus is a superior game. I understand the wish for Open World but Arceus just nailed story, graphics, everything so much better. Its so underappreciated by fans, and it's hard to understand why.
There's a reason I always restart Arceus. It's just so much more engaging than SV.
I know a lot of people like legends more, but I really didn't like playing it. I felt no incentive to capture stronger pokemon because every battle was a disappointment except for the final Volo fight. They removed pokemon abilities so none of my pokemon really felt special anymore. I don't like how they ruined battle mechanics
Yeah they butchered the battle mechanics, they shouldn’t of messed with that and kept it the same as the traditional games. I don’t think we will see it again in the future
Arceus was better. I don't really get the hate about the graphics there. But also is Arceus the very game, why I hate Scarlet and Violet and Pre DLC Sword and Shield. Its because of the guaranteed "in the game" Pokemon and Legends Arceus literally had only those few, of the Pokemon I actually liked: Eevee + Evolutions, electric rat line, Ponyta line, Lucario, Zoroark and that is literally it. I’ll save everyone 8 minutes. I’ve put 100+ hours into both games. Legends is one of the best Pokémon game ever made, and SV is one of the worst. I’ll play Legends, it has replay value. I’ll never play SV again.

@@JamaTheGamer i think the problem is the competitive they don't want to risk making any major changes to the formula because they dont want to mess up the pvp aspect, I suggest they separate the two let the mainline entries more innovative like with legends but set in a more modern setting and strictly single player and then have a stadium like game that focuses on PvP where you can transfer your Pokémon from HOME and other mainline titles to do battle.
I think SV is very overated. Seems to be getting a lot of love. The story isn't as great as everyone makes it out to be. It may be open world but it's so empty what is the point. The towns are boring, no interaction. The gym experience isn't what it used to be and same with the lack of elite four. The game just feels like a rough first edit.
Yeah I hear you. I really enjoyed the story for what it was but this game is lacking. Because it wasn’t linear, it didn’t feel like you went on a adventure like previous games. They need to start peppering the world with side quests with smaller compelling stories, give us things to do in this open world. Right now SV doesn’t give me any reason for me to continue playing because I hate raid battles and there is no battle tower

I think arceus is overated. Yes the story is not that bad but it feels dead. The map is dead, not enough people to encounter with it's like a ghost town. It force me to catch pokemon I don't like just to get to other places.
If Legends: Arceus has Abilities working in and out of battles, allow you to pick an area without talking to the guard, and simply report to the building, it would be the best Pokémon game in Generation 8.
Even if Scarlet and Violet can function without glitches, they still have old and ugly character designs, routes and cities feeling empty, no female clothes for the girl player, getting stuck in a school uniform, Abilities only working in battles, and no gym level-scaling. Generation 9 is the worst in the series.
Gen 9 is a real let down, I’m disgusted in the fact that they’re pushing DLC down our throat without addressing these other issues

I’d say SV has a better story and overworld than Sword/Shield but the rest Sword and Shield has it beat. Pokémon needs a good few years break so they can have time to truly innovate

idk I loved Pokemon Violet/Scarlet. I get its buggy and bad graphics but i didnt really mind it. it gave a nice feel to it in my opinion minecraft vibes graphics xD but I had fun looking for pokemon in open world. 8/10 game. story was pretty good.
I like SV, it has a solid storyline it just needed longer to cook and I think PLA needed longer as well. Both games have positives and weaknesses and I hope that for Gen 10 they take the best out of both games

Bro the clothing shop is literally the same in both games and on the map screen the gym thing is called victory road. I have played both scarlet and Violet and legends arceus and I think scarlet and Violet would be a perfect Pokémon game if you could catch Pokémon without having to battle but scarlet and Violet hold my top 4 favourite Pokémon and the fifth is in legends arceus

SV are vastly better than PLA. PLA had terrible game play and mechanics that bad the game insufferable to play. In fact, I consider PLA to be worse pokemon game of the franchise.
What in particular don’t you like about PLA? Is it the catching mechanics?
@@JamaTheGamer catching mechanics. Agile style, opponents moving first after sending next pokemon out, drowning, fall damage, pokemon attacking player character, no healing in between fights with Volo and Giratina, etc. There are good things in PLA but are overshadowed by these things that I hated.

From Hideaways, to Ramanas Park, getting Azure Flute due to save data of PLA, Customization, following pokemon, better gym leader/elite four rematches - BDSP was decent enough for me to enjoy. I get why some may not like the games but I personally do.
