It's now 2024. I just got one from Best Buy (as a throw-away junk drive just to temporarily move around some files) for $9.. it's incredible.
I have one of these, but when I plugged it in today, it says it's write protected. However, I l've used it since the day of purchase and it has never said that. And, it doesn't have a switch on it for me to unprotect it. Not sure what to do.
Kingston USB flash drives are one of the best brands out there for optimum quality.

Sandisk is very good quality. I have ones from more than ten years ago that are in good shape and still works fine.
i just bought one off amazon, 32gb for $10. I noticed it came with two files already. 1. SanDiskSecureAccess 2. SanDiskSecureAccessV3.01_win I don't remember files existing on USB flash drives before you buy them. Is this normal?
@@loopy221 That's for you to store encrypted files. In the past you can set a password in U3 Launchpad.
Nah it won't. thumb drives or usbsticks or usb whatever you like to call them, are for easy transfer and read things on the go. ex hard drives are for storing things, mostly if you are looking for storage and transfers id go for a ex harddrive. which can go way beyond 128GB. so dont mistaken it for small= good. its not, there are two different uses for each.

Most flash drive have a blinking light when saving data, this one does not. Is it defective if it doesn’t ?
PS3, I don't know. Xbox, Yes, but you can only use up to 32GB. I'm currently using a 32GB Cruzer.

hi i picked this up for $100 aud after 12 months i thought it died but it was just my hub. no probs with this except that i hate the cheap plastic casing on this, it feels like you can crush it with one finger but nice job scandisk. 32gb version is cheap as and better for compatibility in my opinion
a read/write test would have been appreciated
Bought it and tested it myself. These were the read/write results: 26mbs/7.8mbs. I would only recommend it for storage not performance.
2:10 minutes to write 1GB. 17:43 minutes to write 10GB. 0:39 seconds to read 1GB.

1: I got my 128 GB SanDisk Slider Flash Drive at Walmart for 35 dollars and 2: I am having trouble setting mine up, when I go to the vault it keeps saying I need to insert a SanDisk flash drive even though mine is in my laptop and the light is slowly blinking. Is there something I am doing wrong? This is my first time using a flash drive so Im not sure if im being ignorant or not :/

I just open my 32gb and I plugged it in my PS4 and something happen when I was saving my game saves and a error popped up so I couldn't delete the save data afterwards. Now a blue light is showing and I can't save anything to it and it says it's locked so how do you unlock it?
I never had any problems with my other USB sticks with my consoles but this one I did so can someone help me out or tell me what happen. If it can't be fixed then i'll just take it back to Wal-Mart and get a new one.

Thanks for the video. I have a short home video on our computer's storage right now. It is maybe 30 minutes long. I had a professional put it on a 128gb for me. Now I would like to copy it to another 128gb. I purchased another from Amazon. I have tried to drag the movie from the other Sandisk to the new one. Nope. It says the movie is too large which cannot be since I have 10 movies on the other 128gb. I have tried to drag it from my computer to the flash drive. Nope.
How do I get this to work? I simply need to move the movie over to the new Sandisk 128.
if there is sufficient storage space available on that drive, then the drive is probably formatted as fat32 which doth not support transfers or writing of file size greater than 4GB for any single file to drive. reformat drive as exfat should solve problem.

Have you solved this yet? If not, let me explain you very quick. The first one is a document that explains you how to create a password to protect your files and how to move them to your USB. The second one is explained in the first document, but it’s basically where you create your password.
@@Vaporish104 I ended up trusting it and figured they’re adding files now but I deleted them hoping that my usb doesn’t corrupt. I heard this brand is good and won’t corrupt easily. Thank you for the info!

there is a 128gb model, if you were really gonna buy it then you should have looked for it online because in some areas they dont have up to that much of a capacity, i live in canada and even then it was hard to even find this drive here, i had to preorder one.

Well 3.0 is a shit ton faster believe me so a lot faster.

They are alright but EXTREMELY slow. It takes about 10 minutes to copy anything from your pc to the flash drive, I really didn't think it was possible for these things to be so slow. And my pc is very fast, I can download 5GB in seconds but copying to these USB flash drives is painfully slow.

The Cruzer Blade128gb gets EXTREMELY hot when running apps installed on it. Does this one have the same problem?
