- Glazed pork ribs, venison back steak seared over an open fire, wild meat stir fry's and a trout cooked whole. Between successful hunting, good food, great mates and decent weather this was one hell of a trip filled with plenty of laughs. Watch along to follow our 5 day adventure hunting and fishing from the comforts of a jetboat in a remote New Zealand high country lake.

Loved the mirror images on the water. How lucky were you getting about by jet boat. Enjoyed hearing the bird chorus & the Morepork after dark. Plenty of trout to pick & chose from in the Lake. I’d rather be chomping on them than the venison. Haha 😂 Gotta say I get my Kiwiland hunting kicks from you guys. I do miss what I once did there. Cheers from SE Qld around Brizzy way. Cheers 🍻🇳🇿🐨

What a trip! Looks like awesome country. What do you like about hunting with silencers? Just curious
Mainly for our own hearing! Can be a hassle getting in ear plugs in a timely situation.. Another bonus is alot of the time the animals can't work out where the shots come from.

Choice video. You had the concept right for carrying the deer but you need to find an old meat hunter to show you how to do the legs right, he might even have a sharp hook for your lure. LOL

Gidday Paul, our zoom camera is the nikon p1000. It costs about $1500 and weighs a fair bit, they do a p950 model which is a touch cheaper and lighter

Can ya get an outboard boat through the channel at loch Katrine or do ya need a jetboat??
I'd say you'd be able to get an outboard through there, there's a few shallow sections but plenty of people get there boats in there
