What over acrylic sealant is it possible to use ? At the moment, no retailer in Europe as the Jesmonite sealant :'(
hey lovely .. I am so sorry my best advice would be to go to Home Depot or a hardware store I know someone who is using Tile Sealer they said it is working x
You didn't say what the new texture was? Was it plasticky?
After sealing .. the texture is not smooth like before but a roughness to it
Hi, love your videos. Would it work with soap dishes? Or would you not recommend ac100 for soap dish? Thank you
heyyy lovely ... I have done a video on soap dishes ... it works as long as they are sealed good ... and then sealed every year ... AC730 would be best for soap dishes x
@@ClairesCraftyCorner thank you so much for your reply xx
can we use any other Acrylic sealer like Mod podge spray ? or should be Jesmonite?
hey lovely, if Mod Podge is an Acrylic sealer then you can use it x
Have you made and jesmonite pieces with a shiny finish ?? Would.love.to.see this
heyyyy lovely .. no not yet x it is a very MATTE product x so it would need a gloss spray or resin top coat x
This was super super helpful, thank you!🙌
Thanks Hannah .. so glad you found it helpful xx
Hi there, I was told by another jesomite maker. He uses a beauty blender to apply sealant , might be worth a go Xx
thanks so much lovely .. I use beauty blenders now too .. although I used a kitchen sponge this week and works a treat also x
. I made a silly mistake by attempting to sand the jesmonite trays immediately. The terrazzo ‘tiles’ that I made turned out so thick that I need a heavy duty puffer to sand down the rough surface. Any suggestions? 😔
Ohhhh I always sand immediately too ... the best way is to start with a low grit and work up to a higher. I usually start at 240 it isnt that low ... but then i go up to 400 odd ... to get a smooth surface xx
@@ClairesCraftyCorner I think the 1000 helped me the most, the other ones were too weak 😆 I would like to show it to you if you are willing to give some feedback. Your IG handle is the one in the caption, correct?
I wonder if you could pour that in a mold for a flower pot?
Heyyyy yes yes perfect for pots xxx they are weather proof when sealed x
@@ClairesCraftyCorner oh wow! That’s exciting, think of the possibilities!
Thanks for this amazing experience and informations 😍😍😍 may I ask what do you mean by tacky 😁😁😅? And how much time between the two coats should I wait? + you mentioned that it’s better to use a sponge instead of a brush so that it doesn’t leave streaks on the surface, but did Jesmonite Ltd told you to use a brush ?
I would be grateful if you answered me
And again
Thanks a lot ❤️❤️
Heyyyy lovely ... I waited about one minute between coats. Tacky means Sticky ... but it never did get Sticky. Jesmonite never told me to use a brush no .. xx I just watched a couple of their you tube videos where they used a brush so I though I needed to.
Thank you so much for the very informative video..AGAIN!!🙏🙏
I really wanna(need) start doing this for a living , I went crazy and spent around 2000 euros on molds, colors, materials, resin, jesmonite 🤪🤪... I even got the silhouette cameo 4 . I need your help, what do you think it's best at the moment, the jesmonite homeware, resin homeware or resin jewelries. I still can't decide 😵😵 and I'm honestly too scared to start 😨😨
Heyyyy Sevsen .. wow you really went for it ! that is incredible ! I would say try both and see which one works for you .. but Jesmonite is quicker and ECO so it depends what you're going for x I will also say that Jesmonite has sold out across the Globe and it has a 6 month SHLEF LIFE ... so you don't get long before it goes off x
Thank you Claire. Question - Can Jesmonite be sealed and or domed with UV Resin ?
Oooh good question. It'd be great if you could, then you could combine your two loves @claires_crafty_corner!
Heyyy Terry .. yes .. you can use resin but im not sure about UV xx I wouldnt risk the UV xx
@@ClairesCraftyCorner So i guess a person would have to try it out in order to find out for sure.
@@MisterTee2010 I know for sure that Epoxy Resin works ... just not sure about UV xx I don't use UV 🤣🤣
Hi claire, just wondering, did you seal one side at a time?
heyyy lovely .. I only seal the tops mostly .. but yes for AC100 I do one at a time.
Hello, I am begginger in making jasmonite should I buy the sealer now or wait ?
Hey lovely ... I think if you love it and know that you want to continue doing it ... then get sealer x
@@ClairesCraftyCorner thanks you have inspired me 🤍🤍🤍🤍
@@ClairesCraftyCorner hello Claire, I have a question. I'm going down your list of things needed (thanks for that) I'm just wondering What would I see the wet and dry sanding paper for? & what is the heat gun used for ?
And also, is there a sealer I can buy from Amazon?
Thank u so much sorry for all the questions I'm actually purchasing all the stuff I need from Amazon right now I finally purchased the jasmonite off Etsy $500 down. Investing all my money hope this works out
And also, is there a sealer I can buy from Amazon?
Awww, you're so helpful ♥️ thank you

Hiya Claire - how long did you wait for the jesmonite to cure before applying the sealant?
Heyyyy Maham ... 24 hours wait xx
Que tipo de barniz utilizas?
been watching from your first jesmonite video, is jesmonite just cement lol?
thank you so much ... It is very heavy like cement ... but Jesmonite is the brand. It is an acrylic resin ... but very similar in texture and weight yes xx
Hello! Is it possible to seal jesmonite with the varnish? 🙈
heyyy Lily ... which varnish ? I have tried a couple of techniques but definitely using the jesmonite sealant mostly with a sponge x
@@ClairesCraftyCorner thanks for answer 😊 I can not find jesmonite sealer here in Norway, so I was wondering if I can use varnish used for acrylic paint. Sends picture of it 😊
@@lilypa73 ohhh ... ok yes the website says you can use any Acrylic sealer or varnish... I just haven't tried many xx
Ok thanks dear. Tell me if you want or have done it one day 😊🤗
Love your Jesmonite series, honestly amazing 👏 do you have any links for brushes or sponged that would be best used to apply the sealant? Also do you just measure out sealant ans then add 10% water of the amount? And for the second coat you don't add water to the sealant? TIA xxx
Heyyyy Amy ... thank you so much .. I have links to the sponges I now use in my Amazon Storefront .. and yes the advice is 10% water with first coat but I honestly just eyeballed it .. I didnt measure x 2nd coat needs to be no water at all xx
@@ClairesCraftyCorner thank you, super helpful. Sorry, how can I find your amazing storefront for those links lol, I can't find it xx

Can you tell me how long do we have to wait before we start the sealing process?
Hey lovely thankyou ... oh no did I did not even say this in the video ? How rubbish am I honestly 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sealing needs to happen 24 hours later when it is fully cured xxx
