Hello, I would suggest checking out their complete discography, going chronologically, seing their beginnings, the place they started at and moving with time. Have patience, each album is different from the next one, they are very versatile and creative. My favourite one is their first album, Greatest Lovesongs vol 666. It is a masterpiece, totally unique sound, raw, beautiful, tight. Be sure not to miss Overdrive unplugged performances here on YT from that album, it is a real gem!!!!

i think the album is awesome,,different but i love how they made changes but remained the same, im pretty sure the next album will be way different than this one and we'll all be in shock once again.
Well romantic...depends what you see as romantic. HIM has their own special style that they've named love metal. Meaning that their songs are about love which is a subject matter that few metal bands go for. But they're not the basic "I love you" type songs. HIM is more about the dark side of love and the pain and suffering that comes out of loneliness and bad relationships. But they're great. I would recommend something like Wings Of A Butterfly, Killing Loneliness or The Kiss Of Dawn. :)

I just received the deluxe edition album with the lithography and I'm loving the acoustic versions much moire than the "real" album, it just sounds soo bubblegum pop!!! :( Btw, what's wrong with Ville? I just read an interview yesterday saying "he was never a huge fan of hard rock/metal music" What's going on here!!!??
Love HIM, not happy with the new album. I too was hoping for a Love Metal/Razorblade/666 album. This is a bit too commercial sounding. :( Don't get me wrong, the album has its moments but, I am a little disappointed.

I'm a huge HIM fan but i have to say this is their worst album to date. It's pop rock! they now play in the same league with Tokyo Hotel and it's SAD.
