Enjoyed your pictures and thankyou for putting up. 7-14 and 40-150 pro lens changed my photography. 7-14 also good for astro. It's built like a tank, taken it into the mountains with no fear.
Great video! I own the 7-14 2.8 PRO and it's a fantastic lens. I also own the 8-25 F4 PRO as well and it's my current go-to landscape/traveling lens. The range of that lens is excellent for all types of shots and I love having that 25mm on the long end for shots of the family. Unless you need the extra light from a f2.8 lens, the 8-25 is killer!
Any time I travel i don't limit my self to one camera and one lens, the last few years when I travel primary on a plane, my carry on is a photo backpack with two 4/3 camera bodies and a few different zoom and prime lens. For cameras 📷 i choose from Panasonic G9 and G95, Olympus OMD EM1 MKII & MKIII AND EM5 MKIII.
My favourite combo for traveling is 12-40 f2.8 PRO + Laowa 7.5mm f2.0. Laowa is excellent for video because you can use filters and it is very lightweight.
For video, the 7-14 almost never leaves the mount on my GH6 or Gh5 before that✨ That said, the main drawback is the focus-hunting - noticeable in post but hardly visible on the monitor. For photography, canon r6 all the way🥳
I am glad to hear your thoughts on the 7-14mm, because I won't be in a hurry to buy one. I am also curious about the 8-25mm which does accept screw on filters. I will be interested on the comments about the 8-25mm from the other viewers of this video. After watching more reviews about the 8-25mm lens I think this will be my choice for my next purchase!!!!
Honestly I think such lenses are getting obsolete.. you can take that cash and invest it into a top end smartphone that can take equally or better images for wide angles..
can you elaborate on that. at the moment i dont own such a wide angle lens but i do own a smartphone with wide angle ( not a high end though so the results on lower light situations are bad ) have you worked with both such lenses and high end smartphones ?
Hello! Thanks for your comment and opinion. I own an iPhone 13 PRO I think and there's definitely pros and cons to using a smartphone for photography and videography and a camera. For myself smartphones have come a long way and I do use my phone for a lot of video and photos but I still favor my actual camera for a lot of things.

I use the STC Optics screw-on lens/filter adapter and filters for the 7-14mm pro lens which are great.

Hi Esko! The 12-40 pretty much goes on every trip I take. Such a great lens :)

Hi Mike! I’ve watched a few reviews about the 8-25mm. I wish there was a local place where I live where I can rent and test for myself.
I am currently traveling Central America with my newly purchased 12-200mm,great versatile, goto, do everything lens
That would be a very versatile lens!
The 12-200 mm.
