No not really Achilles but I struggle with ankle flexibility and the plantar fascia. So this stuff and eccentric calf raises have made a massive difference, an area I’ve just started to improve
I lived in Glenview so began swimming at the park district pool when I first started. Once I got serious I trained a lot a Sky fitness in buffalo grove and had a lifetime membership at one point as well!
Yoooo - enjoying the videos! Thanks for the content! Quick question - what bike box do you use for the QR? I have a 58.5 VPR and looking at the Bike Box Alan but curious what you are using. Thanks!
Question surrounding the gym session/Achilles rehab: I’m assuming during rehab you focused on Achilles and ankle strengthening, do you still do those same exercises in your gym sessions?
yeah, 100%. Minimum 1x per week i'm in the gym loading the calf/ achillies with heavy weight. i usually do this on Friday's alongside some core and upper body work. i have it to a place where I feel pretty good about the strength but the mobility still isn't 100% so I'm doing mobility on the ankle joint everyday. in the off season I may bump up the calf strength up to 2x per week. we figure right now I have quite a high running load and the achillies itself is getting a decent amount of stress through that so don't want to over do it
haha perhaps. i think i was kinda on my muscular limit remaining in aero. out of aero i could have gotten more out of myself I think power/ output wise
Let’s go🫶💯🦍

nice, these are some of my favorites!
being a chicago guy, where did you swim when you lived here? 50M pools are tough to find, and indoor 50M pools are unicorns.

Did anybody understand what this video was supposed to portray?
Why are you confused?
Yes I did. A single video can contain more than one activity. This is not hard
