Hey Kaity, I’m in New Mexico, USA and I love watching your videos. Especially when you show us the different fish and wildlife in your area. Be safe and take care!!
Brisbane doesn't have crocodiles as it's too far south. Broken glass or sharp sticks in the creeks would probably be the worst things you'd come across. Oh...and maybe a snake hiding in the surrounding grass. :)
It amazing that this ecosystem still thrives, despite the change from last visit. I watched that two years ago. I once kept those Mogurda purple spotted gobies and they spawned. They get big and have a powerful bit! In a separate tank, I kept a beautiful male empire gobie, vibrant orange in breeding dress. Both gobies were kept with lage new guinea rainbowfish. Enjoyed watching your adventure. Thanks
Life lessons. Triumph of the indomitable spirit!!! Even after no traps, dried up plant-clogged creek, dropped microphone, nothing but gudgeons... You suited up and got back after it, and were rewarded with unexpected treasures. Mark of a champion!!! I am a subscriber and today I joined. Your authenticity, integrity, and persistence are why you WILL get above and beyond 100,000. Keep it up!!!
This was a fantastic video. Very cool to see what's in the local ponds in your area! I also loved the video when you were out with others checking all the tide pools. Love your channel! Thanks for all the time you put into your videos!
Absolutely amazing video. Keep up the great work and you'll hit 100k no problem. It's such a thrill for me to see the wild waterways of Australia, and the beautiful wild life. I think even if it were a boring trip your narration would make it well worth going. Love and blessings Kaity, from the USA
Hi Kaity, love your videos, especially the catch videos. I’ve always been fascinated my Australia, it’s landscapes, fascinating wildlife and fauna. So more on Australia’s fascinating underwater creatures is a big plus. Love your tanks too. African cichlids are some of my favorites aquarium fish but also love to learn and see Australia’s endemic fishes
Fun video Kaity, and I'm glad you show warts and all when you forgot your fish traps! Things don't always go to plan and your solution with what you had was genius! Great work as usual, and I hope that you get rewarded with your 100K subscribers soon.
Thanks Kaity, it's really entertain, I really enjoy your exploring fish in since I also like to see fish in wild nature 🥰 hope can see more of your exploring fish, I will wait your next video..
After one of the first videos you made about fish trapping, well, I was "trapped", lol. I went out and caught a whole tank full of emperor gudgeons... Brand new sterile tank, so I wasn't worried about introducing diseases or anything, and all except 3 went back to the creek... 3 remain in my community tank now, and everyone is happy. I love the fish catching videos, keep them going! Would like to get out to some more remote creeks like you have, and find some different native fish. Thanks again! You're a Gem :)
Hahaha, I love it! That is seriously so awesome to hear - I'm so glad that you've been able to enjoy these beautiful fish too :) And thank you for the support
This reminds me of my childhood,,, Me and my younger brother used to catch fish in our towels... I kinda enjoy these videos more than the aquascaping ones.... This is so refreshing...
Totally enjoy what you do with your fish, the tours and all. You are so ‘real’ about who you are that even when things go wrong, you just carry on in your most pleasant way.
Amazing video Kaity 🤩‼️ Survival 101 on that first outing 🤣👏That creek has definitely been overtaken by milfoil or hydrilla of some type. Good to see that multiple species are still thriving! Looks like a Common Saw-Shelled 🪚turtle 🐢 ‼️
Ultimately a successful catch! I like to see these videos if at minimum to see another environment we're trying to create as fish keepers. A lot of effort was put in, so just want to say it's appreciated.
12:39 miight be able to see what looks like a mic there at this time stamp, but it also might be a random square stone too 😅 but thank you for sharing and stay safe-ish!
I've never been to Australia, so I don't know any good places there, but I find watching your adventures and what you discover to be very interesting, especially when you tell us about what the kinds of fish you are catching are, and when you give us a little insight into the fish and their lives. I also enjoyed seeing the king fisher. Any wildlife you happen to see is worth seeing as far as I'm concerned. The turtles were fun too! My pet turtle was watching that part with great interest.
Thankyou Kaity. Nice video. Really enjoyable to watch these. As someone said please be careful out there though and make sure you always have someone with you. Cheers... John
making fish traps out of whatever you can find is how I spend many days around ponds. it's like a fun naturalist engineering challenge. so far the bet I have tried is a 2 liter bottle with the top cut off and inverted to funnel the fish in. ps the turtle was an eastern snake neck turtle (Chelodina longicollis) very cool and one reason herping Queensland is on my bucket list. also moving to either Brisbane or the gold coast.
Also this is amazing as we - fish keepers, are so focused on water clarity and quality and in real life fishes are living and they are healthy in such a swamp :) F...k that no water change this week ;) (just kidding) ;) Greetings from Poland
The baby Turtle you found is commonly named a Saw Shell Turtle otherwise known in latin as Myuchelys latisternum. They are found from as far north as Cape York down through into northern New South Wales
That was so chaotic 😂 I can't believe you managed to catch something with a bucket, random cable and hair clips. Honestly great video and good on you for going back again with all your gear.
This brought back memories of my childhood also catching neon like fish in creeks on the island of Mauritius. It's a shame to see the degradation of the waterways since your last visit. love your positive can do attitude and your approach to fish keeping. Thanks.
I love to see your catching fish activities because im doing kinda same thing on my YT Channel ... Im exploring local rivers to find some nice interesting fish too
Hi Kaity that was other great video and the fish that you caught looked amazing can’t wait for the next video. Ha Kaity are you going to add any new cichlids in your African cichlid tank.❤
Rainbows are my favorite. I have 3 varieties, with my boesmani's being the oldest at ~8 years old. You're so lucky to just be able to go out and catch them.
Literally went to this same spot yesterday to collect some rainbows. So good to see so many purple spot gudgeon as they are pretty rare had to take some home. Great spot and great video 👍
@@Kaityscichlids personally I love seeing the out in the wild stuff. Always entertaining and informative! One of these days I’ll go to Australia and see it for myself in person.
TURTLES!!! Sorry, turtles are my favorite animal. I liked that glass fish, though he was cool. Are you allowed to keep those? These **Kaity On Location** videos are fun. It's fun to see your personality shine.
Reminded me of my childhood in Nether Wallop, Hampshire. Looking for Sticklebacks, minnows and trout in the Chalk stream Wallop brook. Also famous for water cress because of its crystal clear water, something very rare in the Uk now unlike other polluted streams and rivers.
Hey Kaity love your catch vids, should try out Mt Crosby ,lake Manchester , tymolun ugly gully area very pretty creeks with plenty to see and catch, 10 awesome spots all within 5 minute drive , these are my go to spots, basically 15mins from the spot at Kenmore you have been in the past. Love watching local content, i love my saltwater fish and reef keeping, i have a large reef system but also keep chiclids and some other freshwater species. Keep up the content.
hey Kaity, you should try catching some fish at Rocksberg Swimming Hole up near Caboolture. My partner and I have been up there a few times and have caught heaps of rainbowfish, gudgeon and what I think are spangled perch. There's also some baby eel-tailed catfish up there atm!
Back in High School (80's) I used to catch swordtail guppies in the creeks near the soccer fields in Stones Corner, Brisbane. Here in British Columbia, Canada, you can't take any native or invasive wildlife - fish, birds, animals etc and keep them as pets. You have to get it all from the pet store.
I did a lot of fishing for native some years back quite a few good spots around Woodgate near Childers particularly Blue Eyes - have you tried the Schulz Canal at Toombul there used be a lot of stuff in there Regards Roy
I love how, even though you forgot the traps you thought “ hey what can I make one from!”
Always a pleasure to watch your videos.
Thank you 🙏🏻

That’s Azolla floating on the surface, it’s a native plant. It both filters and shades competing against the algae. It’s a good thing
Awesome love that

How big do they get, suitable for an aquarium? I'm guessing no and that the larger one was the same species?
