amazing lakes where you are fishing. i miss these type of spots. please keep posting such an amazing videos.
I received my order and I did a few testing with them. I would have a few questions.
First of all the quality of the floats are amazing! Definitely superior compare to anything within USA. It was such a pleasure getting these and test it. Brought back so much memories (25+ years float fishing mostly with match rods in Europe from common rudd/Carassius/breams to carps) Congrats! amazon design! the tube is such an extra details! absolutely love it! As soon as i can i will try to test these with carps too.
questions:
1) the float tip is available in only red. now based on light condition neon green and black colors could be better options. I understand that in the USA probably not that many people paying attention on this or do finesse float fishing with this aspect however it would be great if the Tip would be replaceable. It would be easy to switch to any color and it is easy to paint the neon to black. Are you considering release neon green color? replaceable tip?
2) currently the tips either 2/3 mm. would you consider to make a float with 4/5 mm tip? My eyes are not that good and when i am fishing 20+ feet away with a little wind and waves, it is just difficult to see. I would happily sacrifice that level of sensitivity for visibility.
3) Jigs are fantastic quality as well. Are you considering to make size 8 jigs?
4) many times i use trout slayer craw or familiar size plastic and I would prefer larger jigs. Are you considering making long shank version like trout slayer hooks? with size 8?
5) Beside the 21-bellezza-prototype (GBLZPS-612UL-T ), could you please recommend any mid / high end SUL rod with cork handle and 6'+ length? I am looking for like the megabass destroyer windbuster handle. I love this rod and would like to have familiar. I already have daiwa presso and gloomis as well with cork handles. weight of the rod is not preference for me.

what boat would you consider to buy these days
1. I know in UK the green antenna is very popular but all of our waters have green tint and the Orange stands out much better. I WILL have a green option available in the future, but Orange is just so much more beautiful. If you think about the water in this very video, Orange looked amazing and Green would hardly stand out.
2. I have never seen 4mm tip, not in England, not in Russia, and England and Russia have the best variety of floats. I find the performance of 3mm already too slow for my taste.. the 2mm recovery is significantly faster. A 4mm would have even slower recovery and will be very susceptible to wind. Even the 3mm is vulnerable to wind actually. I'm afraid 3mm is as far as i can go.
3. Size 8 is already in the works. But this is the last size of this series, as this is a BG jig : )
4. This particular series - the BG-1 jigs- will be coming with the same hook, only different sizes. Next year i have plans for completely different jig for swimming Keitechs. I have even found a hook for those, and that hook has a longer shank, as it is needed to support the swimbait. Those jigs will start at size 6 hook and go bigger from there
5. Not familiar with Megabass and i find that brand undeservedly expensive. I have tried many mid size rods but usually its better to pay a little more and get the $300 rod. This rod is the first mid price range rod that i can wholeheartedly recommend.
6. Yes, pontoon, because its cheaper than boat for some reason, and u have the space for carp landing gear, alarms and all that.
@@ifishcatfish Thanks for the detailed reply. In Hungary there are 4mm+ floats, mostly with wagglers for carps. true the casting distance is 40+ meter :) but i understand, this would bring the float a bit farther from BG fishing :)
size 8 will be perfect :)
@@happyfishing3454 ooh, i think i know which floats have 4mm antenna! But those antennas stick out of the water only 5-10mm! In that case u can afford a fat antenna. My antennas are supposed to be 35mm above water and that creates a lot of leverage. And catches a lot of wind

I have a feeling they sent you the Panfish Magnet instead of the Trout Magnet. I have both, and the panfish version is noticably smaller than the trout version. Maybe they made a mistake at the factory and put them in the wrong package? On a more positive note, that place is so beautiful, I wouldn't even care if I didn't catch a boatload of fish. Sometimes it's just good to take in the environment! If I ever get a new kidney, I'd love to come down and fish with you one day if I'm able. I currently have to go to dialysis 3 days a week, so traveling is way too hard for me right now. Thanks again for the great videos my friend! They really help me get through everything!
No, i bought the same bodies ive been buying for years. The packaging is different now and they said they changed the pigment in the oaint or something..

@@jimpeterson3806 As much as i love the 6'6 presso.. the two rods are absolutely incomparable. Feel, weight, sensitivity, casting distance... everything is not one but two levels higher. Honestly, the $60 Presso feels like an ugly stick compared to this rod, if we are talking about swimming a lure or twitching. If we are talking about float fishing, then OK, but for any other application they are in different worlds

I caught a 16" walleye, some white bass, some Large mouth bass, warmouth, crappie, lots of 9" bluegill and some yellow perch on the bg-1 with the Ozark trail baby swimmer smoked silver flake this weekend. Just a great weekend of fishing. Man I had 2 walleye shake bigger hooks last year and this year I am 2 for 2 catching them on bg-1 😮😮

I must add another comment, if you will excuse me. I have been watching your fine videos for some time. I use the BG1 exclusively and won one of your tackle auctions. I have just had the most amazing fishing day of my life thanks to your advice.
I used my Presso with a Kestrel and felt washer your grease, BG1's with buffalo trout magnets. catching bigger than my hand size blue gills for 2 hours (I'm in east TN). I hated to leave but had to.

For days like that I took Randy the trout magnet man advice and got a Diwia Iprimi xx ultralight rod . you cant do much but throw small beetle spins but its a lot of fun.
Beetle spins is not gone work well for these fish. U need like 7” plus for that..

@@ifishcatfish it’s the 6’6 UL Fast action. It’s the 2023 model. So yeah it’s the most recent one. I think it’s 10 months since it came out.
