Rockaway is not that bad in my opinion, I think it's a nice area (In 2020 era) compared to some other neighborhoods in New York City. Of course there's garbage and crimes here and there, but that's because there is lots of people that are all squeezed onto one small peninsula. There is covered up businesses and stuff because there used to be much more crime but not much these days. I would totally feel safe walking down the street to a supermarket at night in this area. The suburban theme, beaches, variety of shops, and easy subway connections make me want to move to Rockaway someday.
There's nothing cool about violence, poverty, despair, poor schools , hood life, Hempstead is rough(all over not just terrace Ave) ,as well as about 8-10 other spots in the 2 long Island counties. They're gentrifying lefrak city, putting a swimming pool, tennis courts and all these luxuries for the rich people that'll move in after they raise the rent.
They're ugly, crooked poles with dangling power lines & transformers above ground on every block. Very sloppy & frequent outages after storms or snowfall. Just bad like the roads & lack of roundabouts.
@@MeesterJ Thank you, Im in Germany now but I have lived everywhere in the US for half my life. If I look out my window now... The power lines to the individual homes run from the street lamps to the roof & then from house to house. The street lamp cabling is underneath the ground & the power to them comes from the much larger tower stations scattered in the country side. I think the transformers are in boxes maybe one per street. Anyway, its much cleaner minimalistic looking & you dont hear power companies on the radio every other month talking about outages like when I was in Ohio.
Whatever any of you think of any of these hoods in NYC regardless of what borough it's at, the NYPD owns the night as well as the day. I'm more Leary of them than I am of anyone else who lives in these hoods

how
They're ugly, crooked poles with dangling power lines & transformers above ground on every block. Very sloppy & frequent outages after storms or snowfall. Just bad like the roads & lack of roundabouts.
Very true! They should come to the Netherlands to see how we do that! It looks very clean!
@@MeesterJ lol...to where ? Micky Mouse country with less people than Brooklyn ;)
Whatever any of you think of any of these hoods in NYC regardless of what borough it's at, the NYPD owns the night as well as the day. I'm more Leary of them than I am of anyone else who lives in these hoods
Looks better after Hurricane sandy
Yo the fact that I been at all of these like 1000 times I feel like I recorded this bruh
Doesn't look as bad as I'd heard it was. 0:44 could be right out of any UK residential street.
If anything, it seems more bleak, rather than dangerous.
That's the Jewish part of the hood and what the video didn't show was the dirty building where shit b happening
Good ole Crackaway LOL!
Beach channel drive, I need to move back to the rockaways!
Left here at 6 yrs old .... I live in Pennsylvania we have no blood relatives since just immediate family 💯😓👿
damn, does everyone have the day off from work?
Keith Burton at least i work, pay my taxes and provide for a family unlike more than half these clowns. there’s reasons as to why society has these goons where they are. it’s a cold world
@@itsNRC Everyone out there isn't a goon, plus everyone isn't unemployed out there. I know many employed people that can be found in those same areas of Far Rock. Some even no longer live out there, but do go back.
The last real “hood” of New York.
Linebackeronehunna Ant you sound crazy queens is not even the worse borough ! the real hoods are in the Bronx n most of Brooklyn
reckless u funny. Ik u not from ny. Brooklyn don’t really have hoods no more. Only pockets (nycha). The Bronx I agree, and queens I agree isn’t “hood” for the most part. Far rock still about it. I was referring to this area.
Linebackeronehunna Ant I am from ny dummy, and how you say I know you not from ny but than agree with me?
reckless you’re claiming Brooklyn hard but it’s got a bunch of herbs running around with blue hair and armpit hair. Don’t see none of that in farrock
Linebackeronehunna Ant I’m from the Bronx dum dum
I lived in the 60s. I used to shop on Mott Ave. Far Rock has changed. Hurricane Sandy tore the area up.
Oh wow. I come from nearby but have since moved down south. I forgot how run down it is over there. Fond & not so fond memories..
Far Rock America.. the danger zone.
A ride down memory lane for me rhis🔥🔥
5:33 Check out those crazy little steep driveways swallowing up cars!
I always liked something about that name, Far Rockaway. Now I feel like I got to visit.
Can you make 1h video? It will be perfect!
6:10 the wornderful Redfern projects.
That's the 40's, Redfern wasn't even shown.
So is our taxes paying for all these people to live in these tiny boxes? What a fucked up system.
Go to Newburgh NY next
This is a nice place to live, a bit expensive, but MUCH BETTER THAN the early 90's
Look at the Hamsters walking around aimlessly
I think out of all your NYC videos Far Rock looks the worst so far and then Brownsville. But I still have to see East NY
Most of his videos are in Detroit WHY?
I can smell the gunpowder
Too me Far Rock is the roughest looking neighborhood in NYC. Nearly every fast food place have bulletproof windows. Last stop of the A train line going towards there is like being in projects.
That Chinese restaurant on Mott and seaport never had bullet proof glass
@A Fridays that must be it.
Charlie keep doing music videos too. You'll become even bigger. Remember I told you
No. Don't.
Next spot for million dollar homes like bk give it 3 years watch
Dennis M it’s already happening
That's how they did D.C.
A Fridays there’s luxury condos going up rn as we speak
Hey you answered my request! Cool!
Guess it's not possible in USA to live with a smaller than mid-size car or big SUV even when you have no money to feed your kids.
You truly visit the ends of the Earth for us.
Led burn Redfern 🤫
FAR ROCK FOREVER … !!!
looks better than some landmarks in germany such as "Dortmund Nordstadt" or "Duisburg Marxloh" and a lot more no go areas in the Ruhr Valley :D
Germany streets are very well
I can’t wait to you visit us again in Englewood Chicago
IS THIS WHY THE BEACH ARE CLOSED AND THE WEALTHY SECTION IS OOPEN WITH FIVE LIFE GUARDS...?
Thanks.
I notice there’s no yellow taxis in this part of town. Tbh looks way better than other hoods I seen on this channel.
In my Opinion, me, Being Born in Manhattan,Washington Heights and partly raised raised in The Bronx I feel like Far Rock, is more of Long Island.
