Your reviews are pretty good but the one thing I really want to see i don't think you do: just open the native book reader and turn some pages. The page speed and lack of flashing are the most important parts of any reader, for me.
For those who don’t know, that “flash” is the screen refreshing and it’s completely normal behavior with e-ink displays. All devices with e-ink displays do that. That screen refresh can be turned off but it will that cause ghosting effect as seen in the video.
Nice device, but I think that the contrast has margin of improvement yet. I can wait for a couple of generations more to buy it. And also, I hope the price will drop with time too.
Hi, can I use Google docs in it. I wanna write a book (using physical keyboard) How is the typing experience on that, like is the slow refresh rate making it really difficult?
I am a university student and I would like to see recorded classes on that boox go color 7 tablet, I can't pay more for a kaleido 3 screen, do you think it is possible to see my classes on this tablet or is it very annoying?
Good review. I am waiting for the white model to be released.
One e-shop lists it for mid-August (and they mark up the price by €20).
Me too

Comrade, 250 dollars for 8 core cpu + 4 go of ram and colorful e-ink is , from my perspective, the best offer among other ebooks
Oh I can read fanfiction on it directly too!
I had the last Boox colour and used to watch you tube videos
8:32 and I still don’t know what it’s like to read on this thing.
Can you uninstall whatever "AI" integration Boox has on this device by default?
But colours are adjustable so can make them more muted or vibrant and how you like it
can you sideload tachiyomi in this one?
I know it's possible to side load all android apk apps so I assume so

And ereader/tablet would be the worst option if you want to type.
@@mossponsol thanks for the response 👍🏼 I'll consider something else
What’s battery life like? With the backlight on, full power
Have you got the developer menu set in for Android? The developer mode on the phone speeds them up even more
Can you rotate the screen and read upside down? I’m left handed and I’m wondering if you can use the buttons with your left hand.
Yeah, it has a rotation sensor or you can rotate manually.
Can the Store shortcut on the homepage be remapped?
Not that I know of. The store can be disabled but the icon still appears there.
Can Hoopla be used on it?
I didn't know you could go eleven minutes without taking a breath!

E Ink screens aren't very good for videos. It can work but the frame rate is too low.
the price point don't add up the resolution is terrible, there is ghosting also this should be $149. smh how do they get away with this crap?
i completely agree. i just unwrapped it, it is genuinely terrible. now i ll have to pay a 15 restocking fee and return shipping
@@BeingAGoodDoctor-iq6ln no let amazon know and get reimbursed, not your fault it's a bad product smh.
The one you linked to cost £880 ! You are joking obviously, I can buy a good used Car for that kind of money......crazy.
It sells for $249.
