Thanks guys for this rare and sincere interview with Gabriel Byrne. Rare to hear him and you open up and see discussion with morals and honesty. Good to see across generations such a connection of truth and about the craft and industry. I am often taken back by people who are so eager to be famous and protect imagine but are ignorant with no knowledge of real work and talented people before them. "KUBRICK":) Thanks! Where is the dignity of Paul Scofield?:)
What a lovely man! So interesting to hear his journey- honest and compassionate soul! 💜
Thank God , he wasn't a plumber .
This is brilliant! Thanks so much for posting it here on UA-cam. You guys rock!
Great job gents 👍 they don't make them like Gabriel Byrne anymore. Loved the Usual Suspects story 😂
Gabriel Byrne has been one of my favorite actors since I was 13! His presence in the Hollywood world of the 80s and 90s was notorious. Sad to see him separated from his first wife, actress Ellen Barkin. And what a terrific book his is, I totally recommend it. A great expansion of his first autobiographical book in 1995.
This interview is exceptional. It was not a rehash of the stories in Gabriel Byrne’s book, which is a wonderful, reflective read. I feel like I had tea with you three, and at the end, I experienced a paradigm shift in how I assess and accept my own life choices and experiences. Mr. Byrne (certainly he should be a Sir by now!) reflects on the questions we all should grapple with: What do I want, how will I know when I have it, and does the choice i am making help me move closer to achieving that goal. This interview expanded on that theme to include the young interviewers, which added an entire new layer on the subjects, which I appreciated. Thank you.
Excellent, in depth conversation. I recently went back and watched “In Treatment“, the complete three seasons and found myself more interested in Gabriel Byrne‘s career. Seeing him in this interview situation and seeing him in this comfortable, informal setting I can see why he was so good at that role. Thank you for your work in setting this up and sharing it.
Thank you for a wonderful interview and the interviewers, they have developed the art of listening. Gabriel Byrne, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Richard Burton warned Gabriel about the " trappings " of fame .
Thank you again.
