Dean, although not nearly as fast as you, I have used your method and have made quite a few crosses. Like you, I have given many away to family and friends, and have even sold a few. The most popular seem to be the smaller ones I make from dowels (1 to 1 1/2" diameter?). I also made a tiny one from a small diameter dowel that my wife carries in her purse. Thank you for sharing this video, it has encouraged me to be more creative with my lathe. Keep up the good work, your videos are thoroughly enjoyed.

After making several crosses myself, I am questioned about the crosses cracking in the future, since it was made with green wood. Would it be wrong or helpful to put some sealer on it?
I put finish on them as soon as I turn them. I use Danish oil or Minwax antique oil finish. If you do not put finish on them soon after you turn them they will crack, but if you put finish on them I have had very few crack and even then only small cracks. Thanks for Watching!!!

I am VERY new to wet wood turning... whats the best way to prevent the cross from cracking?
Should i put it in sawdust for a few months?
Or is there an immediate way to be able to sell these right off the bat?
Put Minwax antique oil finish on it as soon as you finish turning it then again in 24 hours. thats what I do.
@Dean's Woodworking no later issues of cracks?
I have a mineral oil/beeswax mix, would that work as well?
Try it and see I have only use that mix on seasoned wood.

So how do you keep the green wood from cracking when you are leaving the pith in it?
I put a coat of Danish oil or Antique oil (both work) on the cross as soon as possible after I turn them this reduces cracking to a minimum.
Do you always use green wood?
No not always but most of the time I do. Usually fresh cut limbs that I find or that people give me.

This video means nothing without showing the bandsaw work.
Not really, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that he just cuts each side with the band saw.

So you didn't turn a cross on a lathe. You cut a cross using a bandsaw. The cross had nothing to do with the lathe at all. Misleading title.
