Restoration Antique Caucasian Shashka - The first experience!

- Hello folks! Don't miss this restoration! The longest, most complex and interesting. Today I want to show you a new restoration project, that I have been doing for a long time. This is a Caucasian type Shashka sword blade. According to my friend, it is difficult to determine her age from 120-200. He found it somewhere in the attic in the village. I will not describe all the processes in detail - there were many of them. Pour yourself some tea and let's start the restoration!
Process of restoration was very hard and huge. While I started work, it took more than one day to remove the handle, because the thing is old, everything had to be done carefully. There was metalworking, woodworking, leather working, a little work with silver, soldering of brass, working with non-ferrous metal. This restoration gave me a lot of experience working with brass, with the fittings of shashka and read literature on this topic. This restoration project was most hardest of my whole practice. But finally I done this sword and my friend was very happy when see shashka again.

Дай Бог тобі здоровя за твое терпіння.По ножнам насверлюеш на заготовці отворів по всьому контуру клина під зубочистку( як маячки)дае змогу чим тонше прибрати зайве дерево. По шкірі: шиеш спочатку чохол розмочуеш і мокрий чохол надіваеш на готову заготовку ножен змазану клеем.Подивись в неті як виглядають ножни кавказкої шашки.Буде натхнення переробиш.Респект і уважуха.Хай щастить.
Даже после сказанных слов за камерой(думаю 100-200 ГБ) я верил, что получится!.. Потому что в кадре была "синяя изолента". За работу, усердие и "не сдавание" - почет и уважение. Так держать!

Я вижу что почти любую работу можно сделать используя доступные ручные инструменты, которые часто есть у каждого. Большое спасибо! Приветствую. Совершенно верно все подметили. Это кстати мой первый опыт с шашкой. Ужас знаю, но оставил как память). Я пришел к мнение, что все приходится опытом. Невозможно что-то сделать с 0 ля и не допустить ошибки. Сейчас работаю над новым проектом - понятия не имею как делать и почему... Не знаю, может к четвергу следующему успею поделиться.

We got the two component paint back, brass work, scabbard making, mistakes, the restored anvil, old tooth powder silver polish....best video yet!!! And yes the blade is beautiful too.

Добрый день,я вообще то бейбуты мастерить любил в молодые годы но и 2 шашки смастерил как ивы с ножнами возился всегда в3 раза дольше рекомендую на обоймице и затыльнике делать гравировки,сразу вид благороднее становиться лайк за усердие
