This would be perfect to compliment my 34" HF service cart. I like these non cringy "sponsored" reviews, but that $1700 price tag is steep! Granger wants over $2600? 😌 I appreciate the review Eric, but you can get basically the same thing at HF for $400. And that's with glowing reviews here on YT. Look up the Yukon 46" mobile storage cabinet. It even comes with the butcher's block top. You can buy 2 of the Yukons, and still have over $900 left to buy more tools. 🤔
It would be nice if they made their new boxes with “Retro” colors of red and black for those who want to match things up to other red chests in the shop. I have a Matco service cart and it’s red. This cart in red and black would be great! I know that’s their old colors, but there is a demand.
I see allot of people always complaining about the prices of tool storage units yeah 2500$ is expensive for a box but if you work in the trade like I do ( heavy duty mechanic) it’s more of a investment into your future because you will be using it every single day for years
I was so in love with this box until I saw the price... ITS OVER $2000! That is not at all competitive with similar tool boxes, except snap on but we are used to their ridiculous prices.
When it takes 45 minutes of searching and listening to sales pitches before you get close to a price, you can start guessing that the price is going to be out of the ballpark...and... yep... It may be a homerun for ErictheCarguy but it's a foul ball for me.

Thanks Eric, I've been looking for a new cabinet to store my reloading equipment, this may do the trick! Edit: Just looked up the price, over $2,000. I can't justify that cost for what I need it for. Still cool though. JT
The leftmost outlet on the power strip appears to be further away from the rest. Would the plug for the light fit there and not interfere with the other outlet?
That might be a higher amp one. Possible that it's the only one that's actually fused (unsure, i have a few extension thingies that have red painted sockets, and they're the only ones fused in the pack, 4 with 4 normal).
I like your automotive videos, but seeing you hocking slave-labor junk from china (which costs about as much as non-slave-labor stuff) is really depressing.
I like it! Love well-organized toolboxes. Earlier this year, I bought something similar from Harbor Fright that seems to be a good value at under 200 bucks, so that may be worth looking into if anyone needs another box. One difference is that the top opens up into a compartment, which holds my impact guns. That's a two-edged sword because it is often used as a convenient table, but you have to move stuff to open it. It would have been better if they made that into a drawer, like your gear wrench. box.
Hey Eric, greetings from Australia. Long time sub here, first time commenter. (I think?) Question: Why do shop mechanics tend to use toolboxes as opposed to hanging/shadowboarded tools? Or am I just wrong? Or is the answer simply in anticipation of potentially being moved out of the shop at some point making it not worth doing? Can you have a quick look at my video on tool storage and shadow boarding. It's the only video I have and even if you just watch it for 30 seconds to have a quick look at what I did at my place. Not trying to grab views, it's just simply very relevant to this video you posted and I reckon you'll like it. Cheers mate.
Really nice addition to the workshop!! Great salesmanship too..!! Great versatility unit. Seems sturdy and built for a serious technician of any trade. Glad you got yours and nice customizing. This makes a great 👍 stocking stuffer 🎅 Thanks Eric for sharing this item. Many happy years with yours! 🙂
Thanks for the walk through! Outlet spacing is always a problem. I agree on the pricing but from the point of view that if GW is going to compete in this space they need to up the ante. USB-A only and ac ports are too close. The locking door could have included small storage, or a cordura pocket caddy. A small side fold-up shelf. I like to keep a work light on the top of my toolbox but would be nice to have a built-in one that folds/swivels back so I don't use workspace. Maybe a cup holder. :-) This is a good start though.
I’ve seen a couple videos on these and thought they were an awkward size that’s in between carts and stationary boxes. Seems perfect the way you have it set up though.
Eric c'mon. Yea this is cool, but not the best quality or price. A 42" like that one plus a more portable 24" 5 drawer(which is amazing) from Harbor Freight comes in just over $500. So 1/5 the price for way more tool solutions deserves a shot at a review maybe?
